“Stop crying Martin” Lotus petted, patting his back slowly.
He broke the hug and looked at her face for a while.
“Are you ok now?” She asked.
He hugged her again without replying.
“Thanks for coming to me, thanks for not ignoring me” he whispered, sniffing from time to time.
She broke the hug and starting wiping his tears with her fingers gently.
“Tears are only for the weak and feeble” she smiled as she wiped.
“You’re strong, right?” She smiled.
“I’m not” he replied.
She finished wiping and held his hand, leading him to the swing chairs.
They both sat and he smiled.
“Thanks” he said, looking at her.
“Tell me what happened” she replied.
“I was just…sad, my niece died” he lied and she looks confused.
“Niece?”
“You don’t even know what niece means?, She’s a member of my family” he replied and Lotus sighed.
“Human life is too flexible, why do they die so easily” she said.
“You always talk as if you’re not human” he said.
“But I’m sorry about it, you must have loved her so much” she replied.
“I know right?”
“But… have you told Starr and Bluey about it?”
“No, and in fact I don’t want them to know so they won’t start worrying, so let’s keep it a secret” he replied and she nodded, looking up at the stars.
“Do you also love the stars?” He asked, looking up too.
“Yes, they remind me of someone” she smiled.
“Your….. boyfriend?”
Lotus looked at him and met a curious look on his face.
“No” she replied and he smiled.
“I love looking at it because….I envy it” he said, looking up again.
“You envy the stars?”
“Yes, I wish I had a lightened world like the stars, my world is so dark, very dark” he said pathetically.
Lotus held his right hand and he brought his face down to her.
“Do you know the three guidelines to living?” She asked.
“Patience, truth, friendship” he replied and she laughed.
“Now who’s the dumb one?, It’s simply honesty, loyalty and love” she replied.
He kept looking at her.
“Patience falls under love, if you lack patience in love, then you’ll lose, truth is under honesty, there’s no way to be honest without speaking the truth, then love, I can’t say friendship is under love because they’ve been against each other since a long time ago, it’s always hard to choose between love and friendship” she explained.
“Then what about you?, Love or friendship?” He asked.
“I can’t say” she replied.
“I’ll always choose love over friendship, I need love more than friendship” he said and she shrugged.
“Your choice” she smiled and he stood, he squatted in front of her, making her wonder what he’s up to.
He held her two hands and rubbed the back of it.
“Lotus ..
“Huh?” She replied , looking at him curiously.
“Will you…date….
Her phone rang, interrupting him
He let go of her hands and she got her phone before standing.
It’s a new number.
“Hello?”
“From the blue house, the president’s secretary on the line” a manly voice said and her eyes widened.
“Oh!,..good .. evening” she said in a stammer.
“You failed to honour the president’s invitation, is anything the problem?”
“Oh .. I…. I’m in pains!” She gasped, holding her stomach.
“Miss are you ok?”
“I’m not ok, I caught the flu and I’m having a terrible stomach ache right now” she lied.
“I’m sorry miss so…
“Can it be rescheduled for tomorrow morning?” She interrupted.
“Are you sure you’ll be ok before then?”
“Of course!” she said.
“I’ll inform the president, and please take care of yourself” .
“Sure, thanks” she replied and hung up.
“Goddess please forgive me, I just lied” she whispered and faced Martin who’s already giggling.
“Why are you making fun of me?” She smirked.
“You’re an expert, I almost believed the lie too” he laughed.
“I told the lie because of you dummy!, Come here” she made to hit him but he ran off while she took after him, chasing him around the park.
“Wait jerk!”
“Catch me if you can!” He replied, running harder.
Lotus stopped and smiled before taking just two steps, walking with the wind.
She got to him and jumped on him from behind.
“What the hell!, How were you able to catch up are you a witch or something?” He breathed, holding her legs to himself, stylishly giving her a piggyback ride.
“I’m a princess, and I have my ways” she said and he chuckled as she slipped her arms on his neck so she won’t fall as he walked out of the park.
“Of course, you’re a princess” he said, adjusting her on his back.
“Your back feels so comfortable” she said.
“I know, I can always give you a piggyback ride anytime you want” he replied and she bit his ear slightly.
“Ouch!”
“That’s your punishment for making me run” she said and he smiled again.

A RESTAURANT**
“Hey!” Alec waved when Yolanda came in, looking for him with her eyes.
“Alec!” She beamed, walking to him.
“Did I keep you waiting?, Sorry I was…
“You look more beautiful tonight” he interrupted and she fell on her chair surprisingly before brushing her hair stylishly with her fingers.
“Thank…you” she blushed.
“What should we eat?” He asked.
“Anything is fine” she replied.
“Alright” he said and waved for one of the servers to come.
He ordered their meal and when the server left to get it, he started staring at her, making her feel much heat.
She started fanning herself with her fingers and when he noticed, he stood and went to her.
He rested his palms on the table and leaned in, he took her hands away and started blowing air with his mouth directly on her face but that only worsened it because she palpitated more loudly.
The closeness is driving her insane and the way his lips made the O shape as he blew the air, it’s making her lose herself.
“Are you ok?” He asked, stopping the air.
“I….I’m…I’m ok” she stuttered awkwardly, folding her hands under the table.
Alec touched her hair, brushing it slightly.
“Oh no, what’s he doing to me?” She thought, looking at him intently.
“Are you sure you’re ok?” He asked, touching her face and that made her go mad completely.
She closed her eyes and Alec smiled before placing his lips on hers gently.
She welcomed it immediately and he hardened it, pressing his lips harder on hers.
Yolanda’s heart kept thudding as they kissed and till he broke it, she wasn’t sane.
He smiled handsomely before going to sit.
Their orders arrived and they ate while taking secret peeks at each other.

KING’S MANSION**
“Bluey you aren’t helping matters, it’s already past 8, I need to go soon but you aren’t cooperating” Tasha said in frustration.
Bluey has been staring into space since she started tutoring, he’s not listening to her at all.
“You can go if you’re done” he replied simply.
“Bluey!” She yelled and he took his phone but she snatched the phone from him, making him stand.
“Give me my phone, I’m not interested in your tutoring, I don’t want to take over the company, Is it a crime to do what I wish!” He yelled.
“Your father’s company is yours once he dies, you need to start learning how to take care of it now” Tasha replied bluntly too.
“Oh, so you’re just like him, no wonder he picked you, just give me my phone” he replied.
“Sit” she ordered.
“Give me my phone!” He yelled and the door opened.
Chairman Kings slipped in and walked straight to him.
He slapped Bluey hard across the face and he staggered on the table.
Tasha gasped, covering her mouth.
Bluey’s lips bled as he looked up.
“I brought you to life, you should learn to listen to me!” Chairman Kings barked.
Bluey kept looking at him hurtfully.
“Tasha you should leave, it’s late already come back tomorrow” he said and left the room.
Tasha looked at Bluey’s phone that’s with her and started feeling guilty.
Maybe if she hadn’t shouted with him, Bluey wouldn’t have gotten hit.
She went to him and saw tears in his eyes.
His bursted lips made her feel more guilty.
“Are you ok?’ she asked worriedly but Bluey gave her an h@tëful look before snatching his phone from her.
He walked out of the room, wiping his tears so they wouldn’t fall.
