Veronica and her mother were welcomed into the Armstrong mansion by the maid cos Mrs. Armstrong ordered the maid to open the door for them
They were offered drinks but Mrs. Armstrong declined to say that she is a Christian
“Sorry for keeping you waiting,” Mr. Armstrong said and seats down
“What brought you to our house?” He added
“We are here cos your son put my daughter in a family way,” Mrs. Mars said
She doesn’t want to beat around the bush, she just wants to get it done with so that people will not find out
Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong exchange glances and turn to her
“My son?” Mrs. Armstrong asked
“You heard me,” she replied
“I Know it, that boy wants to disgrace me, nothing good can ever come out from that stupid boy called Jericho, and where is he? Jericho!!” He yelled now standing
Veronica heard that and was thinking how if it was the Jericho she knew or another one, but she didn’t think much about it cos she was in a bad position
“Dad, you called me,” Jericho said
He rushed downstairs to avoid being beaten again
“Is he the one?” Mrs. Mars asked
“No mum,” she replied
“If it’s not him then which of my son?” Mr. Armstrong asked
She hesitates a little
“Franklin,” she replied, and almost immediately Franklin calmed into the house
“I heard my name, hey Dad it seems like we have…….” The rest was stuck in his mouth when he saw Veronica and her mother’s angry face
“Did you know this girl?” Was the first question his father asked
“No, why?” He replied immediately without thinking
“Are you sure cos she claimed to be pregnant and said that you are responsible,” Mr. Armstrong said
Jericho and Veronica wasn’t able to close their mouth as they stare at Franklin in disbelief
“Pregnant? Are you kidding me? I have never seen this girl all my life,” he said showing a disgusting face
