Carly slowly raised her head to look at his face. He looked genuinely nice and handsome, if only she could just see the color of his eyes.
“Are you ready?” She shook her head back to earth when she heard him ask.
“Hmm” she slowly nodded.
Joshua smiled at her again and she could swear that her heart skipped a bit. Why does her heart keep skipping a bit each time she is with him?
They were moving again till they successfully crossed the road.
“Still wanna take a cab or should we just walk home together?” He asked and she pressed her lips together before nodding.
“Cool, let’s go” Joshua wanted to move but she didn’t, he turned to her and she looked at his hands.
That was when Joshua realized that he was still holding her hand.
“Oh” he muttered and released her and again, she could feel her hands getting all cold, she didn’t want him to leave her hands and she doesn’t know why.
“Let’s go” Joshua said again and she nodded, squeezing her bag nervously.
They began trekking home together in silence. Carly didn’t know what to say, she was really nervous because this would be her first time walking with a guy- a celebrity.
“Thank you” Joshua started the conversation and she looked at him.
“I saw your tik tok post about me and it really helped me reduce all the h@të I was receiving” he explained.
“Huh? My tiktok post?” Carly sounded surprised.
When she posted that picture, she didn’t go back to check it and she wasn’t aware that the post carried millions of views.
“Weren’t you the one who took the pictures of me in the hospital bed, you were the only one there” he said with creased brows.
“Yes but I didn’t expect it to carry that many views,” she muttered and scratched her head a bit.
Joshua just chuckled and before they knew it, they had already arrived.
“We are here” he announced.
“Hmm, thank you for escorting me, good night” Carly waved at him and went in.
Joshua dipped his hands into his pocket and thought for a while before following her in from behind.
Carly stopped walking when she saw him beside her.
“I can walk.. myself back to my.. room” she said, looking unsure and wondering why he was still following her but he just smiled.
“I know that but I’m going to my own room”.
“I thought you no longer live here?” She creased her brows.
“Says who, I’ve been in the hospital, just got discharged” he replied to her and she nodded, understanding him.
“Let’s go in, nothing will change the fact that I live here now” he added and tried moving forward but she grabbed him back by his shirt.
“You can’t live here, what if those people come back and…” She stopped talking when she felt his hands patting her head.
“I’m prepared for them this time around, I forgot to tell the public that I was a black belt taekwondo champion” he winked at her.
Carly gasped a little when she saw him winked but before she could even do anything, he grabbed her hands again and pulled her in.
This time the neighbors were outside and they were starting to gossip but Joshua didn’t pay them any mind.
He didn’t stop walking till he got to their room.
“I want us to be good friends, we seem like we are the only teenagers here” he said the moment he released her hands.
“Umm..
“Please say yes, I don’t think I have anymore friends apart from Shane, Selene and David” he pleaded with her.
Carly was still looking at him.
“Friends?” He extended his hands out for a handshake and she started down at his soft looking palm before nodding.
“Fine friends” she accepted his hands.
“Thanks” Joshua smiled and withdrew from the handshake.
“Good night” she began going in but he stopped her again.
“What?” She turned to him.
“I kinda got suspended from school, mind if I join you to work at your working place, I’m really jobless now” he said.
“Fine, you’ll have to wake up around seven” she told him and he nodded then she went in.
Joshua smiled and went to his room. It was messy and still stained with his already dried blood so he decided to do a little cleaning.

Joshua creased his brows and rolled to the other side of his bed but his ringing tone kept disturbing him.
He stretched his hands towards his phone that was by his side and picked it.
“Brother!! I was Füçking worried, why didn’t you come back last night?” He heard David’s voice and he sighed.
“Answer me!!” David complained.
“I’m not coming David, sorry for lying but I’m staying here” Joshua replied and without waiting for David reply, he hung up.
David began calling again and he powered his phone off.
He stood up and went to the bathroom to rinse his face, he looked at his face in the mirror and slapped it twice.
“You’ll be fine bro” he whispered to himself before grabbing his brush and toothpaste.

DONOVANS’ MANSION.
David stared at his phone with an unbelievable look on his face before dipping it back into his pocket.
“Who does he think he is to hang up on me when I love him?” he muttered and scoffed before going to the kitchen to make himself some cereal.
“David my love, were you able to reach your brother?” Evelyn asked, climbing down the stairs.
“Yes mom” David replied as he grabbed the cereal box and a bowl.
“And what did he say?” Evelyn asked when she got to the kitchen, she took a kettle and began boiling some water in the cooker.
“That he’s gonna stay there” David rolled his eyes.
His cereal was successfully ready but he kept adding more sugar.
“That’s enough David, you are gonna kill your cell” Evelyn grabbed the sugar from him and he glared at her.
“Also get ready to go to school tomorrow because I’ve already signed you in,” Evelyn added.
“Wh@tëver… Wait what?” David turned back to look at her.
“Yes I’ve signed you in, get ready!” Evelyn repeated while pouring her hot water in her glass.
She immediately rushed upstairs, avoiding any more questions.
David sighed and went to the dining, his phone beeped from his pocket and he dropped his cereals to check it.

David clicked on the video and his eyes widened.

UNIQUE HIGH ★ SPECIAL CLASS ROOM.
Olivia has been moody since yesterday and the only thing she has been doing is playing with her guitar.
“Livy” Sydney rushed in but Olivia didn’t raise her head up to look at her.
Sydney stopped at her front and dropped her phone on Olivia’s table.
“I never wanted to show you but you’ll find out sooner or later” she said.
Olivia took the phone and looked at it, it was the picture of when Selene kissed Joshua’s forehead and everyone was already talking about it.
Olivia sighed and dropped the phone back on the table then resumed playing with her guitar.
“Why don’t you look surprised?” Sydney asked and Olivia let out a low smile.
“Maybe because I witnessed this with both my eyes yesterday and I’ve already cried my eyes out for choosing to believe him again” Olivia shrugged.
“I don’t get” Sydney creased her brows and took a seat beside her.
“I went to the hospital where I heard Joshua was admitted. I was disguised as a nurse but then I saw the opposite of what I was expecting. I saw him smiling when that girl kissed his forehead, seems like he’s happy after all” Olivia explained with a low smile.
“d@mn that bastard! He knew it was your first time in a relationship and he still tried shìts with you” Sydney scoffed angrily.
“And I notice he started behaving this way ever since we had our first night together, he betrayed me and he has the guts to act all pitiful!” Olivia gritted her teeth tightly as she tried to stop her tears.
“Hey don’t cry for that bàstard, hold on” Sydney stood up and rushed to an empty room, she came back with a bowl of ice cream.
“Here have it, you’ll feel better” she handed the icecream to Olivia.
“Thank you” Olivia collected it with a short smile.
“You are so beautiful baby girl and I bet someone else will tell you that so don’t wait for Joshua anymore, he’s a uselèss being” Sydney scoffed.
Olivia nodded and took a spoon but deep down in her she feels guilty for using him to get money even though he cheated.
She doesn’t need the fame, she wishes to stop hurting him but it seems like he wasn’t even hurt at all.
Maybe he deserves everything that’s happening to him because he started it first.
