NEE BEE’S DENTAL CARE**
“We thought you wouldn’t come. You’re an hour late. Anyways, please, follow me” The nurse smiled as Shannon strided behind her.
The nurse opened the door and they both entered. Shannon was asked to wear the hospital uniform and the white cap over her head.
She was also asked to lay on the dental chair.
She sat and laid her back comfortably. A long lamp was a standing over her face.
“I’ll inject the anesthetics now” The nurse said, cooly as she forwarded the syringe to Shannon’s exposed arm, after raising her sleeve.
“Wait, please…” Shannon whispered.
“What’s it?” The nurse asked.

Shannon inhaled deeply.
“When is he gonna come?” She asked.
“Who?” The nurse raised her brows, briefly.
“The doctor. Noel” She answered.
“Oh. The dentist isn’t around for now-
“Why! Why??”
“He traveled”
“Huh?…He…he didn’t even tell me. Well, It doesn’t matter. It’s not like we are even close” She rolled her eyes.
The nurse smiled, and carefully took the syringe once again to her skin but Shannon quickly grabbed her hand.
“Wait…”
“Hmpphh” The nurse sighed heavily.
“What’s it,,,, again??” She asked.
“Who’s gonna do the surgery on his stead?”
“His right hand . Don’t worry, He’s as good as him and he’s renowned too”
Shannon blinked her eyes.
“I can’t” She muttered and stood up.
“Excuse me?” The nurse asked, arching her brows.
“I said,,, I can’t… I can’t do this surgery anymore more”
“But…but why?”
“Call me when Noel comes back” She said, taking off the light blue uniform.
“I don’t know when he’s gonna come back”
“I’ll wait…till he comes”
The nurse sighed.
“Alright then. But i think it better yo do it now, your teeth cavity keeps on getting worst. Soon, it might affect another tooth”
Shannon ignored her advice.
“Where did he go to?…suddenly?” Her voice cracked.
“Nobody knows. He just dropped a message saying he would be out of town”
“No wonder. I…haven’t been seeing him lately” She thought, sadly.
“So…You don’t know where he went off too?” She asked.
“He never mentioned…” The nurse replied.
“Okay then. Please give me a call or send an email if he comes back”
“Alright”
Shannon left and as soon as she was outside, she held her aching jaw.
“I must be going bonkers. This hurts like crazy” She Mõ@ned.

“You want us to pretend to be couples???” Desmond eyes nearly fell out of it sockets.
“Pretty pretty please” Whitney begged, cutely.
“I really need that camera” She added.
“And what if we don’t win it?”
“Don’t be naive and negative minded. We’ll win. Cheer up, friend” She nudged him on his shoulders.
Desmond sighed deeply.
“Okay then. Let’s do this”
“Thanks!!” She smiled, broadly and Desmond smiled back.

About 16 couples were led outside. There was a canopy where they got to stand under.
Few store attendants stood by the sides.
The MC who seemed vibrated and jovial smiled as he held the microphone over his mouth.
?Are we ready, Couples?? He asked.
? Yes!! They all screamed.
? If you’re ready! Say Woo-hoo!”

Whitney’s voice was the loudest. She was really determined and excited.
? Dear couples, Do you know you can take this camera home without paying a dime. Nice, huh?’ He giggled and pointed at the glittering eye catchy camera which stood in between 3 attendants.
It was on a customized table and dwelled inside an enclosed glass. Whitney looked at it and swallowed hard.
?However to get it, You need to play a teeny weeny game or should I say, do a task. The couple to get the highest votes will take this digital camera and even a free voucher home!
Claps and clamor rented the whole air. People were crowding around them, watching the exciting scene.

All couples started posing in all intimacy, and romantically of course.
Well, all couples were busy except Whitney and Desmond who stood glued at the spot.
“Wow??, Never saw that coming. Should we call Jayden instead?” Desmond asked.
“Its too late. We’ve gotten the tickets under our name. Besides, he needs to sleep”
“Huh?”
“Never mind” Whitney sighed and looked the camera. Her thoughts went to Jayden again.
“Desmond. We need to do this” She said, and immediately turned her face and body to him. She stood really close to him, almost sharing his breaths.
Desmond eyes blinked reflexly.
“Act normal, please” She muttered and encircled her arms around his shoulders.
Her ten fingers interlocked together behind his neck.
“Desmond? Desmond?” She called in a mutter but he wasn’t gonna reply any soon since his eyes is busy staring intently on her face.
“Desmond…please. Don’t just stare. Do some- She paused and widened her eyes when she felt her waist getting fitted into his manly arms.
“Huh…That’s.. that’s more like It” She smiled, nervously.
Desmond drew her forward and their chest bumped together. Whitney swallowed nervously.
“I can keep going, right?” He whispered.
Whitney stared deeply into his eyes and gave a light nod.
“We need to win” Was all she could mutter.
Desmond suddenly lifted her up and she entangled her legs behind him.
They looked at their faces like their lives depended on it.
Desmond face was slowly moving to hers. Seeing this made Whitney’s brown lens contract.
“Wait,,, what are you doing?” She muttered.
He smiled.
“Don’t worry. I’m not gonna kiss you. I don’t want Jayden coming for me”
Whitney eyes gave a last blink.
“I want you to smile” He said.
“Huh? Okay” She said, and drew her lips, showing her white set of teeth.
He tucked her hair at the back of her ear and smiled back at her.
“Perfect pose” Jade who was also part of the crowd chuckled as she snapped the picture with her phone.
She made her way out, and placed her air pods into her ear. The music started playing once again.
She sang along;

She continued what she was doing in the first place before the scene stopped her: Jogging. She was jogging.
She looked at the picture as she jogged, cropping the people around.
After getting the perfect edit, She clicked her facebook app.
“Sent…” She whispered with a smile.
She was about to keep her phone back in when a call suddenly came in.
She picked it immediately.
“Its Natalie. Where are you?? You said you wanted to follow me to shopping. What’s up??” She sounded really impatient.
Jade smiled again.
“I’ll be right home. Wait up”
“Killing two birds with one stone? Niceeee. Don’t worry, Jayden. I’m coming back for you” She thought.
