•Five Years Later~ A Good Looking Bungalow•
Kayla came out of the house in her usual style,her hair packed in a bun. This time,curly bun
She sniffled the air happily, spreading her arms wide
She’s gotten a new job in a restaurant,she’s been working for the woman who looked at her weirdly five years ago as a cook in this bungalow buh the woman,Mrs Kim left the country last week with her family
Mrs Kim’s a nice woman,she introduced Kayla to the owner of the restaurant Kayla will be working in so no p.
Kayla’s sure there won’t be any problem in working there just like there wasn’t any problem when she was working for Mrs Kim in the house
And what’s special? This beautiful bungalow that was once for the Kims is now for her and her Kieran
It was given to them as a gift,so Kayla doesn’t have to rent or lease an apartment
Kayla looked at the door and smiled as he walked out,cute in his uniform
Kieran,her son and everything
He’s the exact replica of Kennedy,same brown eyes,dark hair,stares, cause right now Kieran’s raising his left brow
“Eddy….I mean”Kayla smiled. She calls him Eddy most times and she could still remember him questioning her
“momma,why do you like calling me Eddy?”
“cause that’s the name late granny called you before she died”she lied
“Dark haired,are you still nervous?”Kayla squatted beside him
~Kieran means one with dark hair,so Kayla calls him that sometimes~
“uhn uhn, what if my classmates aren’t nice?, what if they don’t like me?what if they bully me cause I’m not a Korean?,I’m scared”Kieran asked, raising that brow making Kayla see Kennedy
“Eddy… Dark haired,you’re a sweet little cutie, everyone’ll wanna come closer to you,to be your friend”Kayla touched his chin “and not everyone’s a Korean in your new school”she added
“for real? No racial discrimination?”Kieran lit up
“how did you get to be this smart?”Kayla cupped his cheeks,he giggled
“Dont overthink,your first day at school is goin’ be great” Kayla did the fighting sign
“fighting”Kieran did same,they laughed
“school,I’m ready for you!”Kieran screamed happily

•Happy Restaurant•
This is where Kayla will be working. She just arrived and she’s hell sure she’s late cause she trekked with Kieran to his school and trekked all the way from the school to the restaurant
She entered and heaved a deep sigh of relief realizing the restaurant is empty,that tells her she’s not late…. right?
“Kayla Moore”A croaky, wicked voice sounded behind her. Kayla slowly turned back to see a not-so-elderly woman glaring hard into her soul
“yes….Madam Won?”she slowly asked. Thing is,she doesn’t know her new boss,all she knows is she’s been told of by her former boss
The woman nodded with a straight face that made Kayla gulp in fear
“Its your first day at work and you’re late”Mrs Won said
“I’m sorry madam,I took my son to school and…..”
“no excuses, I hate excuses. Kim Semi told me you were a hard-working girl. Don’t make me think otherwise”Madam won said and she nodded
“Promise you mam, you’ll never regret letting me work for you”Kayla said
“get to work, you’re gonna be cleaning and washing”Won ordered. Kayla ran to gawd knows where to do gawd knows what…
“where are you going? Get the broom there”Won ordered. Kayla paused and cursed inwardly before turning to the said direction.
She almost knocked down a bottle on a table buh luckily she caught it,Mrs Won walked away ghostly
“Thank you Pinnie”Kayla breathed and touched her hair pin
Actually Kieran gave her hairpin that name and she seems to like it
Mrs Won,Madam Won whatever she’s called will surely be strict, Kayla has to be her best
She already misses Kim Semi….or Kim Simi…. whatever she just miss her former boss

•Somewhere in Germany~A Building•
In a large empty room that looks more of a hall, someone sat on a large chair in the dark part of the building
No bulb,no Chandelier,just the crescent moonlight barely lighting the room
A pair of shoes walked in and stood before the relaxing boss
“we have his location”the man started and stretched a digital pad to the guy “He now stays in South Korea with his family,Seoul precisely”he added and moved away
The dark guy chuckled and stared at the screen,his lips shone……..only his lips
“he’s got family”a snicker could be heard,bootheels walked calculatively to the sitting guy and stood behind him
“Grayson Dickson, a banker,the son of a dick is a banker”the lady laughed
“better cause his money become ours” The guy finally talked. His voice deep, husky and calm
“touché”the lady grinned “i’ve waited for this day all my füç?in’ life, i füç?ing love dramas”she added
“deadly ones”he said with a dangerous smirk hanging in the corner of his lips

•A Week Later~Royal Elementary,
Kindergarten class•
Toys here and there, screaming children,safe mini bouncing trampoline and decorated walls
The school isn’t for the rich, yeah almost everyone here are foreigners buh it’s still beautiful, especially the kindergarten department—Kieran’s class
Kieran stayed quiet on a desk, playing with his hero toys alone, pretending not to listen to his mates argument
“my mom will be taking me out on Tuesday,my dad never does that,he only sit at home all day!”Jane, a girl, maybe Kieran’s age argued
“Dads are better,all my mom knows is to sit at home all day”Another snapped
“Dads are the best”
“moms are the best”
The children kept on chanting those words
“Kieran who do you think is better?” Glad,a boy whose name Kieran sees as weird asked him
Glad is like, the biggest kid in the class.
“Momma”he replied and continued playing with his toys
“yes”Jane and other supporters screamed. She stucked out her tongue at Glad and he turned to Kieran in anger
“that’s a lie, you’re saying that cause you don’t have a dad”he snarled
“I don’t have a dad,so? Momma says it isn’t a must to have a dad”Kieran fired and everyone laughed except Jane
“It’s not possible dummy, everyone has a dad”Glad said
“let’s go play”another screamed and they all ran away. The arguments ended
Jane walked to Kieran and sat beside him
“hey”she waved him
“hey”he answered faintly,his eyes are teary already
“don’t do that. You’re just like me. I wish I don’t even have a dad”Jane said
“really?”Kieran blinked
•Later, Closing Hour•
Kieran sat on the bench at the waiting longue, kicking his legs patiently as he waited for his mom. Jane just left with her mom who picked her up with a big car_ big car to Kieran
“Dark haired”Kayla screamed from where she stood, Kieran raised his head happily and literally flew to her
“momma” he hugged her
“Hmm,I missed you”Kayla hugged him back
“Same here”he replied and she ruffled his hair before carrying him
“momma put me down,my classmates are staring”Kieran giggled,Kayla laughed and tapped his nose
“you’re still my little Kieran”

“Momma”Kieran called as they approached the restaurant. She always leave the restaurant to pick him up from school and go back with him
“Hmmm?”Kayla pecked his cheeks
“must everyone have a dad?”Kieran asked and she blinked
“do I have a dad?”Kieran asked again. Kayla became speechless
“Hmm? Answer me”
Luckily they got to the restaurant,Kayla sighed in relief
“Kayla,you like breaking my rules. You asked for a permission for ten minutes and you spent up to fifteen minutes”Mrs Won appeared
“my son…”Kayla tried explaining
“it’s all your son! Your son this, your son that. You’re supposed to be in College or just graduated but here you are having a five year old and you brag your son,did you give birth to the Messiah”Mrs Won screamed.
Kayla gasped in shock,she touched her chest and almost started crying. Kieran held her tightly
“Did you?”Mrs Won asked, calmer this time
“no”she mumbled “i gave birth to more than a Messiah”she thought,she dare not say that out or she loses her job
“back to work”Mrs Won said,giving Kieran a weird look.

•08pm~Evening•
Kieran waited till his mother placed the ‘closed’ sign.
Kayla turned to her son and cursed herself inwardly. Her Dark haired looks very hungry, all her fault. She carried him and they headed home
“did you finish your homework?”Kayla asked after long walk. Kieran nodded sleepily
Kayla collected the paper he’s been holding and smiled seeing it’s a childish drawing of herself. She pecked him on both cheeks

•Kayla’s Residence•
They got home at exactly 9,Kayla removed Kieran’s school uniform,bathed him, before placing him on the bed to feed him
Kieran ate sleepily and after eating,he completely dozzed off
Kayla picked up the paper drawing of herself and smiled. Her boy is just sweet,he’s good at everything he does
“dad and mom how I wish you both are alive to see your sweet Kieran. He makes me proud everyday”she muffled stroking Kieran’s hair
“momma,since everyone has a dad, Is mine coming back?”she heard and gasped
Kieran’s still asleep buh he just talked. Is he dreaming?
“yeah Dark Haired, he’ll come back. He’s just far away”she whispered and smiled seeing him smile
Kayla stood up and made to keep the paper in his backpack,she füç?in’ can’t find it
“oh no”she muttered when she remembered she left it at the restaurant. She’s gotta get it before tomorrow
Kayla left the house, they’re the only ones living here so she hopes Kieran’s safe
She ran all the way back to the restaurant and exhaled seeing the bag seated out there waiting for her
She picked it and started running back home
Kayla hasn’t gotten half a distance when she heard gunshots in a building close to her. Kayla hid behind a car immediately she heard footsteps coming outta the building
A lady figure emerged with a pistol with her and Kayla gasped, widening her eyes
Other men came out too, dragging an almost dead man,Kayla couldn’t see the man clearly cause blood filled his face
Everyone is visible, thanks to the flickering street lights. Everyone except the bloody man and the gang boss whose back is on Kayla
“Please, forgive me”the almost dead man muffled as he was roughly placed on his knees
“you do beg? Seriously?”the lady Kayla sees as evil chuckled and punched him
Kayla covered her mouth with her palms in fear and shock
Gawd please let her go home safely,let nothing happen to her
“dying out here will be okay. Buh nah,I ain’t doing that shit”the boss talked. His voice is so deep and scary that Kayla thought she had died
“I’l make you feel what I felt,then I’ll kill you”He muttered and shot his left leg twice and his right hand twice.
Kayla didn’t know when she screamed buh she covered her mouth immediately.
He looked at her direction and she widened her eyes the more
It’s Kennedy facing her!
