Violet/Carolyn and Jayden appeared at the rooftop were they left Carolyn’s luggage.

“So, how do I go about it?” Violet asked.

“I can’t help you with it, you will be the one doing it,”

“How?”

“Just focus on leaving, and think of yourself leaving that body. Just like when you’re teleporting,”

“I should just think about it?”

“Yes. It’s easy as that,”

“Ok,” she muttered, and closed her eyes for few minutes before she exhaled heavily.
“It’s not working,” she whined.

“Why? That’s how it works,”

“But it isn’t working for me. I thought there was a trick to this. I guess different things works for different people,”

“Like rolling down the escalator?”

“That seems to be the only thing that works for me,”

“It’s risky. She could dle if you act carelessly in that body. Your soul was forced to leave because she was in danger, if harm befall her, she will be the one affected so don’t think of acting rashly,”

“So what do I do? This doesn’t seem to work,”

“It’s supposed to work. That’s how it works,”

“But it’s not working!” she cried.

“That’s nothing to cry about. We will think of a solution later, it’s getting late now. We should leave,”

“Am I supposed to remain in this hody?”

“Let’s talk about that elsewhere,”

“Is anyone there?” they heard a security guard said, pointing his touch at them.

“Vee, grab the luggage and hold my hand. We have to leave,” Jayden said.

“Miss…” the security said.

Violet grabbed the luggage, and teleported away with Jayden immediately to Charles’s house.

“What do I do now?” she whined.

“Relax, Vee. There should be a solution. But let’s get to that later, I have to go now,”

“Where to?”

“See you tomorrow,” having said that, he left.

Carolyn pouted in the living room before gathering enough courage to go to Charles who startled her the sudden embrace.

“Charles, what’s that about?” she asked, pulling away from the embrace.

“Errmm… yeah, what?!” he lashed.

“Hey! Why are you suddenly upset?”

“Why are you still in that tacky body?”

“I was unable to leave,” she murmured, and he laughed.

“Where is Jayden? I thought he was going to help you. Why? Did you ran away after he failed?”

“No. He probably had his own business to take care of,”

“He acted like he had a trick to bring you out, but it’s all this…” he scoffed, unable to hide in his laughters.

“That’s nothing to laugh about. He did all he could,”

“So, why didn’t it work?”

“I believe the problem is from this body,”

“Should we try rolling down the stairs or visit a shopping mall that has an escalator?”

“No. Jayden said it’s risky, and it could put Carolyn in harm,”

“So what? You’re going to continue to live like this?!”

“I don’t know…”

“This is all Jayden’s fault, he acted like he got everything under control, but he just left when everything went south and even talked you against using what works,”

“It’s not Jayden’s fault. His plan actually helped. We were able to talk Ivy and Mr. Marson into believing everything,”

“But you’re stuck in there again, and the master planner went AWOL,”

“He will be back, he said he will be back tomorrow,”

“ I hope he doesn’t,”

“What?”

“Nothing. I’m a human, and you are one now as well so you should get some sleep. Where is her luggage? Don’t tell me you left it at that rooftop?” he asked, and she shook her head with pouted lips

“No. I brought it,”

“Now we are back to what we narrowly escaped thanks to Jayden. Good,”

“I should leave now,”

“Yes, you should,”

She stood up to leave and got to the exit but he stopped her.

“Vee,” he called, and she looked at him.

“Hun?”

“I agree with you. Everything happened for a reason, we met for a reason, and you’re stuck in that body again for a reason. So use enough rest and don’t over think it,” he said, and she nodded before leaving.
“Gosh, why did I say that?” he grumbled, returning to his bed and instantly remembered Mr. Feng’s words again.
“Why? Why is he doing this to me? Why…” he whined.
**
Carolyn/Violet freshened up the following morning and went to the living room to join Charles there.

“Good morning,” she greeted.

“You seem to be adjusting just fine in that body,”

“There we go again,”

“What do you plan to do now?” he asked.

“Nothing. I’ll just try to adjust till Jayden finds a solution to this,”

“Him again? I don’t think he is coming back after the mess he has caused. I actually don’t want him back here,”

“Nothing is his fault,”

“Are you taking his side?!”

“This isn’t a matter of taking sides,”

“Of course it is, you just stood up for him against me!”

“We are all in same boat here,”

“I don’t see myself in same boat with him!”

“Why do you berate him this much?”

“I don’t berate him, I hate him!”

“Exactly! Why?!”

“Why? Are yoy asking me that?”

“Why do you hate him so much? Why? He has done nothing wrong, he came out of nowhere and have been of great help,”

“To you, not me!”

“Ok, you simply hate him because he is of no use to you,”

“Gosh. I hate him because he is always lurking around here, calling you… whatever, whatever. Keep on taking his side, you’re both the same after all, I hate you all guts! I hate ghosts! Does that make you feel better?”

“I understand you now. I have been a burden to you, I understand that. But don’t take it out on Jayden, he is being a great help to me and being stuck in this body again isn’t his fault!” she said, and took the exit.

“What? Is she getting angry? No, she is seriously angry at me. Gosh,” he grumbled. “Wait. Vee, wait!” he shouted, running after her.

He got outside and Mr. Feng went to him.

“Sir, is there a problem?”

“Errmm… Vee… where is she?”

“She left in a taxi,”

“Oh… she left? Did she say anything to you?”

“I don’t serve her, sir. I serve you,”

“Yes. And you should keep doing that,” having said that, he went back inside.

Maxwell paced around in his room, frustrating Ella who couldn’t think straight.

“Stop this already, Maxwell!” she yelled.

“Ella, I don’t understand how you can be this dauntless in a situation like this. What if there is something in that footage?”

“Anything there can’t prove that she was murdered. The car accident was clear, and she dled two weeks after that. So, why stress over a useless footage?”

“But she bleed. She was bleeding, what if they caught that?”

“So? What if she bleed? She merely had an accident, she slipped and fall down the stairs,”

“Please! Please, Ella! You’re prepared for all these, you are just dauntless about all these,”

“So, what?! You want me to start panicking like you? Keep quiet already and let me think straight!” she shouted, and exhaled heavily.

She was engrossed in her thoughts when a call came through her phone from Mr. Josh.
*
📞*Mr. Josh?*
📲* Carolyn Wilson is Miss Holt’s friend,*
📞*What?!*
📲*They might be in this together,*
📞*What do we do about that? There must be a reason why they are together and how that Carolyn or whatsoever she is know about this before Ivy,*
📲*There is a mystery behind that,*
📞*Then fish it out! Don’t tell me you call me to say this nonsense,* having said that, she dropped the call.
*
She got up angrily and Maxwell looked at her.

“What? What did Mr. Josh said?”

“There seems to be more to this than we assume. Could this be a coincidence? What could actually be the mysterious thing about her?” she said.

“What’s all these? It shouldn’t have come to this,” he grumbled, and Ella glared at him before storming out of the house.
**
**
Ivy and Carolyn attended thier classes together before going to the cafeteria.

“How’s your stay in Mr. Marson’s house?” Violet/Carolyn asked.

“Fine. His wife is accommodating as he claimed, but she doesn’t seem to like me,”

“All of these will be over soon, Ivy,”

“I hope so. But… I thought you were going to leave the body…”

“Yeah, I tried but I failed again,”

“Ivy,” they heard Jon called walking up to her.

“Oh, hi,” Violet waved, and Jon went to drag Ivy to his side.

“Why are you with her?” he scolded.

“Later. Let’s talk later,”

“No. We talk now!” he shouted, and Violet looked at them.

“Ivy, is there a problem?” Violet asked.

“Mind your own business!” he snapped.

“Come on, Jon. You’re raising your voice,”

“Let’s go have lunch elsewhere,” he said.

“No. I have a class later. I’ll have lunch with her, we will talk later,”

“Ivy, are you being serious?”

“Later, Jon. Let’s go, sis,” with that, Ivy left with Carolyn.

“Are you two having a misunderstanding?” Violet asked.

“You possessed the wrong body. There is a rumor about Carolyn being a witch or something. Although, I don’t believe those but Jon is just overprotective,”

“He told you to beware of Carolyn?”

“Let’s leave that, sis. Tell me about Charles, how did you two met and all?”

“It’s a long story,”

“I’m all ears,” Ivy said, and they both giggled.

Jon made a fist staring at their retreating back, and he felt someone tap him, he turned to see its Bryan (Ivy’s ex)

“Seems like she is gonna ditch you first,” Bryan teased.

“We shouldn’t be seen together,” Jon said.

“You’ll be at Grey’s party later, right?”

“I have plans with Ivy,”

“What?! You haven’t been hanging out with us lately because of her, Grey haven’t thrown a party in like forever, the other guys will be there as well. You can’t miss this,”

“I have plans. Gotta go,” with that, he left.

“What? Jon!” Bryan shouted after him.
**
**
Mr. Marson took his time to watch the footage till he got the incident tape.

“Finally,” he exclaimed, and called Charles who has been bothering him with messages immediately.
**
Charles arrived at Mr. Marson’s office and met Carolyn/Violet and Ivy there. They all watch the footage that display Maxwell carrying Violet into the car.

“This is all we got for now. Judging from this, Ms. Holt was severely injured and was taken away,” Mr. Marson said.

“But this can’t help us file any charges against them. It didn’t prove that they murdered me,” Violet said.

“But this could still give us a lead,” Mr. Marson said.

“The accident was clear. Ella and Maxwell made everything so clear that everyone believed that accident as the cause of d£ath,” Ivy said.

“I guess this only made us believe that it’s truly murderer and not a mere accident,” Charles said.

“But what can we do with this?” Violet grumbled.

“We can do a lot of things with this. The people who benefited from the incident are the ones in the video, you don’t need a tangible evidence to stir up the internet. When we provide a reasonable doubt, that could work to our favor,” Charles said.

“We can request another investigation. We can even charge them for this. If that’s possible,” Ivy said, looking at Mr. Marson.

“You’re all right. I’ll send this to a reporter, and involve a prosecutor to reinvestigate the case once it stir up the internet,”

“Once they are trending online, the stock price of the company will drop, they will need help and we can take advantage of that to secure enough shares in that company. Either you give it to them willingly or by force, we will surly get everything back, and make them pay for what they did to you,” Charles assured, and a smile curved on Violet’s lips.
*
Charles and Violet left Mr. Marson’s office together and went to join Mr. Feng outside.

“Why did you made him wait here?” Violet asked.

“I make the rules. Wait! You still have an explanation to render,”

“What explanation? What?”

“You left angrily this morning. Shouldn’t you explain that? You are in no position to get angry,”

“Why? I can’t even get angry?!”

“I didn’t mean everything I said, I didn’t mean to upset you. But that doesn’t mean I like that ghost,”

“You don’t have to like him, you don’t have to like me either. But we’re all on this together. You promised to help me and Jayden is really a great help,”

“Why? Why can’t I like you?”

“What?”

“He is the one I loathe, so why can’t I like you?”

“What are you talking about? You don’t like ghosts and… what’re you really getting at?”

“I don’t like ghosts, but you’re different. The others freak me out,”

“But Jayden isn’t scary,”

“Why must you always mention his name?!”

“What? Why are you suddenly angry?”

“Gosh. Never mind. We’ll do nothing but argue,” he said, ans scoffed.
“Did you just scoff?”

“What? Can’t I even scoff?”

“No! You can’t! Not at me!”

“Whatever,” she muttered, staring at the window

He scoffed and faced the other side as well, and the rest of the ride was in silence until a truck aimed at them from behind.

“Noooooo!” they screamed, and Mr. Feng tried to avoid it, and they crashed into another car in the process.
