AT A HOTEL^^^
^
Mr. Hearst and Michael sat across each other, while the others all sat together on the bed with mixed emotions.
“Why did you abducted Paulina? Is not to get Steven, you could have gone to Steven instead like now, but why Paulina? Is this ti scare us so we can abandon our friend?” Micheal stated, and Mr. Hearst chuckled.
“You’re one blunt teenager, I bet you are indeed a director,”
“Can we skip the chit-chat, sir? Our friend got hurt, and I have to protect them from any future crisis,” Micheal said.
“As you stated, I don’t need to pull childish strings, I could just come at Steven direct, why involve an elite into it? I hate getting involved with elites. So, who could it be ?”
“Lord shark?” Steven muttered, and they all looked at him.
“Why would he attack your friends?” Mr. Hearst asked bavk.
“It’s not because of me,” Steven grumbled.
“Young man, does that answer your question?” Mr. Hearst said to Micheal.
“Paulina didn’t get hurt because of Steven, does that mean someone else tried to hurt Paulina? Who could it be?” Micheal said, and started to panic.
“You’ve to be guarded, Kelvin’s men are on the look out for you. He helped you escape from the basement, and now he is keeping a close watch on you. What do you think?”
“Lord shark wanna get rid of me?” Steven muttered.
“You have more enemies than you think, and your friend also has hers. Talk later, entertain your guest, see you again, young man,” having said that, he patted Michael’s shoulder and exited the room.
Austin exhaled heavily after he left, and held his chest.
“Your father was really intimidating, thank goodness he left, I finally got to breathe properly,” Austin exhaled.
“Mike, you were really amazing back there, how do you manage to have a conversation with him?” Stanley asked.
“If Paulina didn’t get hurt because of Steven, then who could have plotted it?” Micheal muttered, and they all looked at him.
“This is getting scary. Seems like Lina also has her own enemies. Gosh, the thought of that creeps me out. The police are still investigating the case, I hope they get the culprits soon,” Austin stated.
“The runaway driver is thier prime suspect, and he always flee out of the country. I don’t think they can head anywhere in thier investigation,” Stanley remarked.
“Steve, you should’ve testified against that lord shark of whatsoever he is called, it would’ve helped the police in thier investigation!” Austin blurted.
“The police can’t arrest lord shark based on my statement, and I would have to disclose my identity… my father’s identity to give that statement. It didn’t help the last time, so I have to avoid making the same mistake again,” Steven muttered.
“This isn’t time to blame anyone. What do we do now that we’ve no clue on who tried to hurt Lina?” Stanley said.
“Do you think they wanted ransom? I mean… the Stanford’s seems to care about Lina a lot, so they could gladly pay of whatever ransom the kidnappers requested,” Austin said.
“You are right, it could be for the ransom,” Stanley said.
“No. Lord shark’s men don’t work that way, they get paid before carrying out any assignments. If it was for ransom, the culprits wouldn’t be able to afford what fee, whoever it was would’ve waited for the ransom, and the driver won’t have flee instantly. Whoever was behind it could afford all the bills,” Steven remarked
“That sounds scary,” Austin whined.
“Could it be Ava’s mother? Trying to get rid of her husband’s illegitimate daughter? No, no, there could be an another motive,” Micheal thought.
“Mike, why are you awfully quiet?” Stanley asked, bringing Micheal out of his thoughts.
“We’re now convinced that Lina didn’t get hurt because of Steven, so ease your conscience, and return to Austin’s house,” Micheal said.
“You don’t need to run away from us anymore, man,” Austin said, patting Steven’s shoulder.
“But what do we do about Lina?” Stanley asked.
“Let’s worry about that later. We’ve to return home, it’s getting late. I can’t imagine spending a night here “ Micheal said.
“Grosssss… NEVER!” Austin blurted, and stood up immediately.

CHAIRMAN STANFORD’S MANSION^^^
^
Paulina tossed and turned on her bed unable to sleep, she abeg a message to Micheal hours ago but he didn’t respond.
“What? Is he ignoring my text because he’s hanged out with Sage?” She thought, and scoffed. “Oh… be could he be busy, perhaps?” She muttered, and checked the time she sent the last message when Sophia sent a message to her.
After telling Sage and Sophia about the incident, they were both worried, and didn’t stop checking up on her.
She smiled and respond to the message when Sage’s message beeped in.
She was engrossed on in her chat when Micheal sent a message, she scoffed in annoyance and gladly ignored it.
“You should also know how it feels,” she muttered, in fulfillment.

CHAIRMAN RUSS’S MANSION^^^
^
Chairman Russ left his study and joined his wife in the bedroom. She welcomed him with a smile, and he smirked going to seat next to her.
“Let’s get a divorce,” he stated, and her eyes widened agape.
“Honey, that’s so random! What nonsense are you spewing? What divorce?”
“I think you want to end our marriage,”
“What led to that?”
“This,” he muttered, and showed her a message he received from an anonymous source, about her plan of revealing Micheal’s true identity.
“What…” she shuddered.
“You can’t deny it because it’s accurate. You can only think of that if you want us to split up,”
“Are you threatening me?”
“Is this a threat to you?”
“Ben, even if we annul our marriage, the company is mine. I have more shares there!”
“Have you forgotten that the shares your father stole from me was tied to our marriage? You can’t claim them all,”
“What are you insinuating?”
“We can only be together for that shares to be meaningful. Mike is my son, and we agreed on him being our son, but you only see him as a rival!”
“Because that’s what he is!”
“Was that also why you brought Laura back?”
“You knew it was her?”
“What are you really plotting? You brought Laura back, and want to reveal Micheal’s identity! Did you have this planned out from the start?”
“Do you think I’ll accept Micheal because he is your son?”
“Mike is my son, so I won’t let him go down alone. If you reveal his identity, then our marriage is over!” With that, he stormed out of the room.
She stared at his retreating back, and scoffed in disbelief before taking her phone to call her secretary.

HOLLAND HIGH^^^
^
Micheal arrived early at school, and waited behind at the parking lot for Paulina. She ignored all his messages last night, and he couldn’t help him worries when she screened his calls as well.
Stanley showed up later, and Micheal not to wait for him. He waited for few more minutes before Paulina arrived, and her face twisted in a frown after seeing him.
“Did I do something wrong?” He thought. “She was the one who ditched me, so I’m the one who supposed to be mad at her,” he muttered, and composed himself.
“Hi,” she said softly, and walked past him.
“What? Just hi?” He grumbled, and dragged her back.
“Hey, Lina! Are you mad at me?”
“No, I’m escalated to see the person that ignored my message for hours, and replied when he had the time!” She blurted, and Micheal exhaled heavily. “I’m so happy to see you, but too bad, I’m busy now. Gotta run,” with that, she turned to leave but he held her back.
“Lina, something came up last night,”
“Lina,” Sage called, approaching them and ahe freed herself from Michael.
“Sage,” she called cheerfully, and Micheal scoffed.
“Hi, Mike,” Sage waved, and Micheal glared at him.
“Hi! What?” He blurted.
“Lina told me about the incident, so I wanted to thank you for finding her, and going to her rescue,” he said, and Micheal rolled his eyes.
“I rescued my girlfriend, it’s no big deal!” Micheal blurted.
“Let’s go, Sage. We are late for class,” Paulina said, grabbing Sage’s hand, and leading her away.
“Did you two had a fight?” Sage whispered in her ears, and she chuckled.
“What? What? What’s that?” Micheal grumbled in disbelief.
“Oh… did you just get ditched again?” Austin who just arrived with Steven teased, and Michael glared at them.

MR. PACKARD’S HOUSE^^^
^
Mr. Packard turned on his TV to watch Grace news on her campaign, when one of the reporters asked her questions concerning his case.
🎤*… my father is innocent until he is proven guilty. And about that post onine, many of us know how those source are easily manipulated My father is going to sort out his case, but that shouldn’t change your vote…*
Mr. Packard turned off the tv, and faced his PA who he sent to get information on Louis Narson, ((the world best lawyer) and they both pounded on how to get to represent him in court.
“Sir, the man seems so clean, he has no flaw we can use against him,” Mr. Ken said.
“How can someone has no flaws?”
“Nothing tangible to use against him. He has been a diligent lawyer since he graduated from law school, he has a humble background, but he was able to climb up the ladder with his hard work, and most importantly he has never represented a politician before. He is very picky with clients, and he worked hard as an independent lawyer since his internship. He interned at one of the best law firms in Los Angeles, and he refused employment, to establish his own law firm,”
“So, he climbed the ladder while running his own law firm…. His family,”
“He only has a daughter. Patricia Greenwood. She got married after she graduated from low school, she was a sophisticated student, she passed the judiciary exam in her first try and have been working diligently since then. She is currently a judge at the supreme court, and also has various recognition for her fair ruling. Sir, she was famous after she sentenced a fellow judge the harshest ruling for assault, claim in that those who know the law shouldn’t break it; and he was rumored to be her acquittance singe law school,”
“Wow! So she rules fairly. I heard she married into a conglomerate family, there must be something on them,”
“The Greenwoods’. There is really nothing much about them. They produce various agricultural products, they are known to have the largest agricultural field, and the current chairman is the third generation in line. Thier taxes and public figure clean,”
“The kids? Yes, there must be something on the kids!”
“His granddaughter lives a carefree life like commoners, she associate with everyone, and made a lot of friends at the foundation she visits regularly with her parents,”
“He also has a grandson. There must he something on him,”
“Nothing, sir,”
“Nothing?!” He yelled.
“Yes, sir. He gets along well with his peers. No history of bullying, or power abuse,”
“How can a family have no flaw?!”
“Sir, we also did a search on his in-law, but there was nothing. Seems like he is loyal to his wife,”
“Since we can’t threaten him with anything, then we have to convince him somehow…”
“Sir, in his first interview as the president’s advisor, he announced that he haven’t retired as a lawyer completely, he is waiting to take a case before he retires for good,”
“That’s good. If we could convince him, he would gladly take the case,”
“Sir, I have an idea,”
“Say it away,”
“He has always been interested in the hierarchy policy of class at holland high “
“The Russ’s school?”
“Yes, sir. He has filled various petitions against them, but none was approved,”
“Then I can just grant him the petition. Why didn’t you say that earlier?”
“But there is a problem,”
“What’s it again?”
“His grandson, Sage Greenwood, recently transferred to the school,”
“What? Then that’s still good. Is his grandson is involved in the hierarchy policy at the school when he has filled several petitions them, that should help in getting him somehow. He tried to fill a petition, but he ended up enrolling his grandson do enjoy the supreme class benefit. What a cunning man,”
“No,”
“What do you mean, no?”
“His grandson is in the middle class according to the school hierarchy class,”
“What? How can the only grandson of Louis Narson be in the middle class?”
“His parents didn’t make the donations require,”
“What the…”
“Sir, we can only convince him with our words, and our lucky stars…”
“Louis Narson, what are you exactly?” Mr. Packard grumbled.

Leo left the safe house after he confirmed that Mr. Ethan was gone completely. After watching Grace interview concerning her father’s case, he has been having doubts about the trial. They did a thorough research on the judge ruling the trial, and was convinced a little but Mr. Packard is yet to disclose his lawyers.
Leo has been trying all his best to stall them from disclosing Ava’s true identity, although he knew that he can’t keep it up forever, so he decide to protect Ava in his own way.
He blocked Ava’s car with his motorcycle by the roadside, and her driver stopped the car immediately.
“Hey! Are you lnsane?!” The driver yelled, and Leo removed his helmet. “He must be lnsane,” the driver muttered.
“Do something about that!” Ava blurted, and she composed herself when she remembered how Paulina was abducted.
The driver alighted from the car to yell at Leo, and Ava looked at his face from the widescreen.
“What? Him!” She muttered, and started thinking of what to do.
The driver exchanged words with Leo who refused to leave, and Ava alighted from the car when the driver threatened to call the police.
“Leave him to me,” she muttered, and the driver looked at her.
“Madam…”
“Wait in the car. Don’t make me repeat myself!” She blurted, and the driver obliged immediately.
“It’s nice meeting you again,” Leo said, and his lips curved in a smile.
