THE HOSPITAL ^^^

Ava has been in the hospital for a week, only to diagnosed with amnesia after she woke up. Paul didn’t know how to react to the news, telling her about everything that has happened when she can’t remember anything will be really hard on her so he decide to leave her in the dark.
Weeks has passed since she woke her, and everything else was fine expect her memories.
Paul went to her ward and met her having a conversation with Leo, the both of them got along the moment she woke up and he introduced himself as his father.
“Daddy, it’s the chairman,” she said upon seeing him.
Paul managed to force a smile, and walked close to them. After Leo introduced himself as her father, he has to introduce himself as chairman Stanford who was funding her medical expenses.
“Ava, I’m happy to see that you are in good shape now,”
“Thanks for coming to check up on me again, it must’ve been really stressful. Thank you,”
“Yeah, that’s my angel,”
“Pardon?”
“I mean you are an angel,” he said, and she smiled.
Seeing her that way reminded him of when she was younger, she was a really sweet girl. But everything suddenly changed, influenced by her grandfather.
“I’ll be on my way now,”
“It seems like you don’t have other business at the hospital,” Ava said, and he looked at her.
“Yeah, I came to checkup on you,”
“You don’t have to worry too much about me. Daddy is here, and the doctor said I can be discharged soon. I’m fine now, sir,”
“Obviously! I wish you would really be completely fine,”
“I also wish to recover my memories, but the doctor said it might be highly impossible. But I’m fine, what matter is that I build new beautiful memories. Daddy, said so,”
“Your dad said so. I see… new beautiful memories. Yes. That’s what matters. You should only build beautiful memories,”
“I agree,”
“She will be discharged soon?” Paul said, and Leo nodded.
“Yes. The doctor assured us that everything is fine now. The amnesia is the only problem,”
“Where are you going after her discharge? We never discussed that,”
“Daddy said we are going to New York, my grandma is there. I spoke with her on the phone, and she is expecting us. I can’t wait to meet her,” Ava said.
“Grandma? New York? Leo, you should see me off,” Paul said.
“Alright, sir,” Leo muttered looked at Ava who smiled at him before they left.

Paul and Leo went outside the ward, and Paul glared at him.
“New York? When do you plan to tell me about that?”
“I’m sorry, sir. I just discussed it with Ava today, I plan to tell you about it later,”
“Now my opinions don’t even matter, right?”
“I’m sorry, sir. I thought I could make the decision at least since you promised to give me full authority over Ava,”
“What do you plan to tell her after the discharge? Her identity as a Stanford can’t be erased forever even though she don’t remember,”
“I already told her that everything,”
“Everything?”
“Not really everything, but the facts that she can understand,”
“What did you tell her?”
“That her late mother was married to you, and you were like a father to her. She is now aware that you were once her father, and she was a Stanford before before we reunited and the accident happened,”
“Goodness! You did all that without informing me?”
“I’m sorry, sir,”
“So, to New York? Don’t take her away without informing me, I’ll prepare the private jet for you. And about your living there-…”
“Sir! I won’t hide Ava from you, I promise. But please… would you allow me have full authority over her? You have been her father for 18 years… I felt like this is an opportunity for me to be with my daughter. I don’t want you to come between us. I know I’m being selfish, but…”
“It’s fine. Since you won’t hide her from me, then it’s fine. Just keep me updated, and remember that I will always keep an eye on you,” with that, Paul left.

Don dropped off Paulina at the hospital. Her father told her about Ava’s current health condition, and she felt it’s right to pay her a visit at least.
She entered the hospital and was surprised to see Ava helping a child who dropped her toy from afar. The little girl was on a wheelchair, and Ava was walking around with her drip.
She smiled at the little girl, and her gaze met Paulina, and she didn’t stop staring at her.
“Did she really have amnesia? She seems to recognize me,” Paulina thought walking closer to her.
“So beautiful,” Ava said when Paulina gets closer, and Paulina looked at her.
“Hun?”
“Nothing. You are just beautiful, and your face is smooth too,” Ava said, before touching her own scar.
“You are also beautiful, Ava,” Paulina said, and Ava looked at her.
“You know me?”
“Hun?! Actually… I know you,”
“You must be Paulina?”
“Hun? Yes, I… I’m Paulina,”
“Oh. You must be the chairman’s daughter, no wonder you are beautiful,” Ava said, and Paulina forced a smile.
“It’s real, she really lost her memories,” Paulina thought, staring at her pitifully.

CHAIRMAN STANFORD’S MANSION^^*

Paul was working in his study when he heard a knock on the door before it click open. Since Paulina left the house, he was always home alone with the workers, so he wondered who dares do barge into his study.
Paulina walked in, and his face brightened in a smile.
“Paulina,” he called, and went to embrace her.

They both went to his living room later to talk properly.
“Dad, about Ava…”
“I told you about her condition,”
“Yes. I paid her a visit, she really doesn’t remember anything,”
“Yeah, it’s such a pity,”
“What’s going to happen to her now?”
“You once asked me to choose, so I already made my choice. Ava is out of the picture now,”
“Dad, you can’t abandon her now. She is helpless, she doesn’t even remember anything,”
“So, can you live with her now?”
“I have mum, you are the only one she has,”
“No. She also have her biological father,”
“Hun?”
“Ava’s biological father, Leo, showed up at the hospital. Ava now has her father. I can’t live without you either; I have been separated from you for 18 years, and the few weeks we spent apart is all I can bear. I want to introduce you to the world as my daughter,” he said, leaving Paulina speechless.

Micheal joined his friends at thier suite after school, and Steven chuckled when he went in.
“You got ditched again?” Stanley teased.
“The math chub. That math club has been a bias since she joined it!” He lashed.
“Isn’t that just an excuse? Jessica alway found time for us despite being in the math club, and her overwhelming school president duty,”
“What are you getting at?”
“I think she is already bored of you. She didn’t even have lunch with you,”
“Everything was good until that onion of a guy arrived,” he muttered, with clenched fist.
“Onion?” Stanley repeated.
“He is a tacky student from the regular class. He was her friend from her former school or whatever,”
“If you are referring to the guy I saw her with yesterday, you are wrong. He isn’t tacky, he is good looking,” Steven said, and Micheal shot him a glare.
“A good looking student. Hun! Interesting!” Stanley said, and Micheal shot him a glare.
Austin joined them later, they all looked at him.
“I thought you were with your wife,” Micheal teased, and the others laughed.
“You really know how to provoke me. Why are you here? Did Lina ditched you again?”
“The math club stuff. Now that the math competition is fast approaching, they are taking longer in her club I guess,” Michael said.
“That’s just an excuse. The genius who will ace it is here,” Austin said, and Stanley exhaled heavily.
“What’s that for?” Micheal said.
“It’s the competition. I have to write a test with the students in math club before I can be chosen,”
“So?” They all chorused.
“Was that ever a problem?” Micheal stated.
“Come on, don’t pull such on us. You are a genius, so what are you scared of?” Austin said.
“Yeah. I can beat everyone in the supreme class math club, but I heard from the principal that a new development was applied when I was away, because of the coming competition. The school director approved a decree to allow all students from the math club of all classes to participate in the test competition. The students have already been informed, so they can’t take it back,” Stanley said, and they all looked at Micheal.
“Why would you approve such?” Austin lashed.
“Hey! The board were concerned about the competition. In Stanley’s absence, Jessica will have to be the one to represent the school which means we might not win this year and there are few students with excellent grades at math in other classes. I don’t think I have to explain my job to you. I just did what’s best for the school. Holland Hugh have been acing that competition for years. Anyways, why should that be a problem? Aren’t you confident enough? You are a genius,”
“Yeah. What’s the big deal? You just have to write an exam with more students than usual,” Austin said.
“Yeah. But there is a new student in the regular class that is also good at math. I compared our grades, and we both scared 100% in the last math exam. He has also been acing all mock exams,”
“Oh…” they all exclaimed.
“Is this what they call the fall of a genius?” Austin said, and they all glared at him.
“Hey!” Micheal and Steven shouted.
“What? Buckle up man. He might be good, but you are the best,” Austin said.
“Who is the student in question?” Micheal asked.
“Orion Blake. His family run a logistics company,”
“Orion? That’s him. The onion guy,” Micheal said.
“The one after Lina?” Stanley asked.
“What guy? What did I miss? Who is after Lina?” Austin asked.
“Lina said he is intelligent. I never expected him to be that good,” Micheal said, and Stanley laid flat on the couch.
“Are you that shaken?” Austin asked
“A little…” Stanley grumbled.
“Should I get rid of him?” Steven asked.
“What?” They all shouted.
“Will you do that for me?” Stanley grumbled.
“Stanley!” Micheal and Austin shouted.
“Should I do it?” Steven asked back.
“Steven!” Micheal and Austin shouted again.
“I’m just kidding, ok. Just kidding. I believe you are going to do well. You will do well and get rid of him yourself, out of the competition I mean. And if it doesn’t work, I can just take care of him,” Steven said, and winked at him before leaving.
“Where are you going?” Micheal asked.
“I have prior engagements,” he shouted, shutting the door.
“Gosh, that’s so scary,” Austin grumbled.
Steven returned almost immediately, and they all looked at him.
“I thought you had plans,” Micheal said.
“Mr. Kim took care of him,” he said, and went to seat.
“Are you really doing this mafia thing? I mean… it’s so scary,” Austin said.
“I know. I don’t want to do this either. But it’s just my fate. I will put Mr. Kim in charge soon, so I can leave a normal life like the real anonymous mafia boss,”
“You will be like your father?” Stanley remarked.
“I should be better than him. I’ll take care of somethings so I won’t have to be like him. I plan on making us run a smooth business,”
“I hope you succeed. Being a mafia is quite scary most especially when you don’t even want it,” Stanley said.
“I know. But this is the scariest,” Austin grumbled staring at him phone, and Stanley collected it from him.
“What?” Stanley shouted.
“What’s it? Let me see,” Michael said, and collected the phone, and Steven hurried to look at it as well.
💬*I ran a test, and I’m pregnant. What should I do?* the message from Rae reads.
“Justin or Rachel,” Micheal said, and they all looked at him. “What? If it’s a girl, we should name her after her mother, and if it’s a boy, we should name him after his father,” he added, and Steven chuckled.
“You are nut! What ads you waiting for,man? Tell her to get rid of it!” Stanley blurted.
“Why?” Austin asked.
“Are you asking us that? Are you ready to be a father ? Can you be a father?” Micheal teased.
“I don’t have to be a father to the child,” Austin said.
“What?” They all shouted.
“The child is going to have many fathers anyways. A chairman, a mafia boss, and a genus daddy. We can all father the child together,” Austin said, leaving them speechless.
“Do you want to keep it?” Stanley asked.
“Austin, you accommodate me for so long, but too bad I can’t repay you the same way. So don’t even think of it. The scary men with guns will terrify you,” Steven said.
“What are you getting at?” Austin said.
“Are you an ldiot? It means he won’t accommodate you if your parents throw you out! They are going to disown you for real this time!” Stanley lashed.
“Bro, can you live without your parents?” Micheal asked.
“I can. The only thing I need from them is their money, and my brother-in-law will give me that. Even if my parents disown me, my brother-in-law won’t!”
“Do you like her that much?” Stanley asked, and he smiled.
“I admit, when I asked Rae to be my wife, I just did that so we can be together, but after I gave her that ring, I made up my mind. I have never liked anyone the way I liked her. It wasn’t just like, bro, I think I’m in love with her. I love her, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Rae is just different from the others,” he said, and they all gasped, followed by applauses.
“You have made up your mind, but what about Rae? We have just a month for us to graduate, even after high school, there is a bigger life ahead. Will she throw her life away to be a mother? Did she feel the same way as you do?” Stanley asked, and they all nodded in agreement.
“If she wanted to get rid of it, she should have just done it. She doesn’t have to tell me,”
“This is not just about you, man. So you have to be considerate. What about her parents? Will they accept you? I heard her grandfather is quite fearsome,” Stanley said.
“We will figure it out. Let me discuss it with Rae first,”
“Reply her a message, tell her to keep it. Her response will determine,” Micheal said, and Austin nodded before doing that; almost immediately, Rae replied.
“She said if I want to keep it, then there is no objection,” Austin said, delighted.
“Wow!” They all exclaimed.
“We’ve a wadding ro plan,” Stanley cheered, and they all jubilated.

LOUIS’S HOUSE^^^

Charlotte was with Ms. Bella in the garden planting a new flower when Louis joined them.
“Too bad, I won’t be able to watch it grow,” he said, and they both looked at him.
“Are you relocating?” Charlotte asked.
“I’ll be returning to Germany soon,” he muttered, and she dropped what was with her immediately.
He signaled Ms. Bella to excuse them, before he led Charlotte to the gazebo.
“Are you really leaving?”
“Yes, I’ll be leaving in few days. I have played around enough. My father offered me the executive director position. I was offered the director position for years, but I wanted to keep on performing surgeries so I ran from it. But… I don’t think I can anymore,”
“So you are returning to Germany. I thought the HQ was here,”
“No. After my grandfather passing, the hospital divided, and our HQ is in Germany,”
“Oh…”
“Will you come with me?” He asked, and she looked at him in shock. She wasn’t expecting such question from him.
She was confused on what to say, and before she could even utter a word, a message beeped into his phone and he divert his attention to his phone.
“Excuse me,” with that, he left.

Paul waited at a restaurant for Louis, he sent him a message an hour ago, and he agreed to meet up. He got there later, and he nib the name to the door.
“I’m aware of your feelings for Charlotte,” Paul stated, and Louis looked at him. “I know she was your first love… the kiss at the airport when you were leaving California years ago… I saw it,”
“You saw that?” Louis asked, and Paul nodded. “It’s a surprise that you remembered, because I doubt if Charlotte remembered that,” he added.
“I knew long before then that you liked Charlotte, because she was my first love too,”
“What are you getting at?”
“I have liked Charlotte right before you met her. I was the one who introduced her to you, I met her first, and I didn’t stop loving her since then,”
“Even after you married Grace ?”
“I admit, I was a c0ward,”
“Admitting to it makes you a real c0ward! What’s this meeting about? You asked me to keep it from Charlotte when we are here to talk about her!”
“I want to make things right, I want to introduce Paulina during the company 100th annual anniversary that will hold in a week,”
“Then you should be discussing that with Charlotte, not me!”
“I can’t introduce Paulina if she is an illegitimate, it will cause her a lot of setbacks,”
