Lauren said over the phone speaking with Miss
Ellie. She ended the call and threw her phone on
the bed.
She changed into her night pajamas and
packed her hair into two buns. She sat beside
her mirror and took a look at herself. She
breathed a sigh of relief.
“How I wish Mom and Dad were still alive… The
shame am facing right now is too much”
She muttered and stood up, walked to her bed,
and lay on it.
“Why does bad stuff happen to me? Why me?
Why not someone else?
I was framed for committing suicide, I am now
asthmatic, and I was almost impeached from
the CEO’s position if not for Ethan. And now am
pregnant”
Her mind became clouded with a lot of thought.
She didn’t notice she was crying until a teardrop

rather stay at home and hide her sadness”

Miss Lauren rarely smiles, I have known her and

covered with a mask. His hands were tied. He
heard a shoe footsteps coming close to him.

Luke was a bit surprised. He looked at his men.

He said and they all laughed.

cos you will be dead by that time…

bedtime. She will assume am being kidnapped
by you and then she will release the video
putting you and Mr. George’s reputation in the
mud”

what your dad did to cover up your crime”
Luke was scared for a bit.
He smiles.

and they scanned through his video file.
Luke saw the video and played it. He watched
his drunkenly self forcing himself on a lady at a
night party.
Everyone around was also drunk and they didn’t
care what Luke was doing.
He called his men and they carried the
screaming lady out of the party room.
The video clip ended and he burst into laughter.

He walked out of the secret basement.
