Damon took a quick glance at Maya and he smile while Maya on the other hand just sat still like a statue .
” You’re nervous ” he said and Maya gulp down .
” Nervous , hahaha why should I be “she said forcing out a laugh .
” C’mon Maya you don’t have to lie about it , you have been tapping your foot for a while now . ” He said and that was when she noticed she’s been tapping her foot . Maya press her lips together and exhale.
” am sure you didn’t even notice it . But if I may ask why are you nervous or is this the first time you’re alone with a handsome guy like me “he and wiggle his brows , Maya scoff .
” Well no and stood hyping yourself “she said with an eye roll .
” Am not hyping myself Maya am just stating the facts ” he said
” Yeah you’re handsome but most you make it obvious”she said , Damon gave her a quick glance then he chuckle .
” So you agree that am handsome , that’s a good start ” he said
” A good start for what ” she ask now staring at him .
” A good start for me , anyways I hope your boyfriend won’t be angry that you are with handsome dude like me . “He said
” I don’t have a boyfriend and can you stop hyping yourself it’s annoying ” she snap and Damon laugh , Maya took a glance at his face . He doesn’t look ice cold like before he looks totally deferent and more handsome as he laugh .
” Wow so you’re single , welcome to the club of single people and guess what . am the President of single people association of America ( SPAA) ” he said and Maya was force to laugh at his weird jokes .
” You are kidding right hahaha , I mean a guy like you can’t be single ” she said laughing and Damon shrug .
” Am d@mn single , if a pretty girl like you is single then why won’t a handsome guy like me be single too . Wait don’t tell me the universe decided to bring 2 single hearts together “he said and wink at her , Maya laugh out her stomach .
” Stop dreaming Damon , yes I might be single but as for you . Am 100 percent sure you aren’t , after all Belinda is your girlfriend ” Maya said and instantly Damon happy expression change , Maya noticed how hard Damon grip the car steering wheels . She instantly knew she had said the wrong thing at the wrong right time .
Maya noticed Damon had divert the car to another road but she couldn’t say a word .
“Gush why did he suddenly change , wait is it because of Belinda ” she ask herself , she noticed the car had come to rest and then Damon open the door and walk out . She look and that was when she noticed they are at an abandoned bridge , she watch as Damon lean on the bridge steel rail .
Cold wind gush on his skin as he lean on the rail , he shut his eyes and listen the whistling of the wind . Damon heard Maya approaching footsteps .
“I really loved her but…” He said with his eyes still close , Maya stood few foots away from him . She fold her arms under her B@@bs , he open his eyes slowly and his gaze fell on her .
” When a man over love a girl she takes him for granted , she use him like a piece of Sh|t . Belinda was my first love but it think I loved her way too much for her to start misbehaving , Candie always says it’s better for a woman to love a man than a man to fall in love with a woman because if she’s in love with you , she can do anything to keep that relationship going even if you’re not faithful but if a man falls head over hill for a woman she will just use him like a piece of paper or a football . Look Maya I wanna make one thing clear , don’t ever think of Belinda as my girlfriend because that is enough to get me angry. She’s nothing to me , she’s the main reason why Davina won’t talk me , she’s the freaking reason why Davina lost her left eye .” He said , Maya huff .
” Am sorry I didn’t mean for you to get angry I…”
” Am not angry Maya , am just trying to sound a warning to you ” he said calmly and Amaya nodded , they both were silent for a while .
” Geez am hungry ” Damon finally said .
” Huh ”
” C’mon let’s go get something to eat am sure you are also hungry ” he said .

” You don’t have to be shy , c’mon let’s go “he held her hand and pull her towards the car ..

Mara and Charlotte walked Maya unit after school but could not find her there .
“Where is she ” Charlotte ask and just the Esther walk out the class room with her gaze on her phone while texting to someone .
“Hi ” Mara said and Esther look up quizzically at her .
” Wait you’re that egg right , the one that …”
” Yes am the one , am looking for…”
” Amaya Zahgora , tsk ” Esther said with a scoff and she stylishly tuck her hair behind her ears in a cute manner .
” Yes we are looking for Maya ” Charlotte said and Esther gave her nasty glare .
” She went out with Mrs Davina , when did she Davina even become friends to start with . She just resume not up to 5 days and she’s also taking all the spot lights , I tried to even talk to Mrs Davina but she snub me ” Esther said frowning
” C’mon Charlotte let’s go “Mara said and walk ahead .
‘” thank you ” Charlotte said to Esther before rushing off to meet Mara .
“When did she and Davina become friends , like seriously so Maya ditch me ” Mara said to herself .
” Geez Mara wait up you’re moving too fast ” Charlotte said from behind but Mara double her pace ,
Candie and lucky was coming a ahead and Mara didn’t noticed , she bombed into him and she fell backwards but he caught her wrist. Maya look up at his smiling face and she frown .
” Hello baby girl ” he wink .
“Let go of me jerk ” she snap
“C’mon you don’t have to be rude baby girl “he said
” I sad let go of me “she snap and Candie giggled .
” Are you sure ” he ask but she shut him a dead glare , Candie let go of her wrist and Mara fell and her butt kiss the floor hard .
“Ouch my @$$, you idiot why did you let me fall ” Mara scream
” You technically asked him to let go of you ” lucky said
” And he foolishly let me fall , ouch my poor butt ” Mara wince , Mara noticed Charlotte was staring lost at Candie and lucky .
“Hey Charlotte ” she yell and Charlotte flinch .
” Oh Mara w-what wait why are you on the floor “she ask confuse and Mara groan , she rose up and shut Candie a hard glare .
” You stop frowning but you will grew old quick ” Candie said and walk away with lucky beside him .
” What , hey you bastard ” Mara scream .
” Hahaha see you around cupcake ” Candie said with out turning back .
” Cupcake , hey that’s not my name . Am talking to you “she scream at Candie who chuckle out loud .
” That @$$hOle, I feel like strangling him ” Mara grit her teeth while Charlotte just stared at her perplexed .
“What are staring at ” Mara snap .
“Nothing ” Charlotte shrug .
“She’s the same girl that punch you the other day ” lucky said and Candie wiggle his brows .
” Yap she’s my Lady of steel ” he said
“Lady of steel , you lack test in woman ” lucky said shaking his head .
” So says the guys that can’t even talk a girl face to face . Hahaha it will be fun the day you will ask Daniella on a date ” Candie said laughing and lucky ears redden .
“W-what , stop using Danielle as an excuse because I don’t love her ” lucky said but Candie giggled .
Danielle is a popular young Hollywood star whom lucky has a crush on but he is scared of opening up to her . They both entered their separate cars and drove out .

Mara was preparing to go to work when she saw Maya stepping out of an expensive car with a white design bag in her hand .
“Why is she smiling like a lizard ” Mara mumble , she gasp when Damon stepped out of the car .
” See you tomorrow Maya ” Damon said.
“Yeah thanks for the ice cream pack ” she said smiling from ear to ear .
” Nah every beautiful girl deserve a treat “he said and Maya nodded .
” Bye “she wave , he got into his car and drove off then Maya turn and walk into the house only to find Mara waiting for her .
” First you ditch me and run off with that one eye witch , secondly you’re coming home smiling like a desert lizard and lastly what the hell are you doing with Damon ” Mara ask .
” Wait don’t tell me , oh my God my baby finally wanna become a woman . Did he ask you out , did you guys kiss , did you guys har sëx , please tell me you’re no longer a virgin . Because am gonna pop champagne ” Mara overwhelm Maya who twist her lips .
” First of all nothing happen between us and secondly stop saying nonsense , anyways i got us ice cream for dessert ” Maya said
” Remember we have to go to work so put the ice cream in the fridge and get your @$$ ready for work ” Mara said and Maya hiss in disappointment .
