(THE TORMENT )

Along the road, the rain is falling so heavily making people run helter shelter from the angry rain.
Rhema looked lost and dejected under the harsh rain as her bag is on her head.
She walked slowly due to her pregnancy. She’s uncertained about her destination as hurt memories coloured her sorrowful and empty mind.
She sighted a small closed shop and slowly ran to it to take cover.
Few minutes later, the rain started reducing in its down pouring and it gradually stopped.
Rhema came out of the shop, looked away hoping to find a helper but none seems to come as everyone focus on their businesses not glancing at her.
She mocked her life for bringing so much pains to her.
People started doing their usual business, vehicle moving, cab drivers wait for passengers.
” Where will I go from here? Who do I know in this place…what will I do under this critical cursed condition. I brought upon myself by involving with the sisterhood. Those happy moments”
Memories of her time with her love mom clouded her pained heart as tears drops from her weary eyes.
Uncertained of the situation, she remembered her happy moments with Elvis as hot tears rushes down her eyes as she left them to wander around.
Passerby looked at her believing that she has lost it. The tears kept on running out of her sorrowful eyes she wiped her tears.
” My fate has been determined by the wickedness of this world, I had attempted to commit suicide but someone stopped me…but now no one will stop me. Elvis my one and only love, I can no longer fight this battle anymore, the child is not forth coming. If seems that I will die in this cursed pregnancy, I have failed you, mother and unborn child… I wish to see you in the great beyond, hoping that our love will continue over there…how I wish that could not he separated. I have to end this now… Its too much for me ” Rhema wept bitterly.

~~AT THE HOSPITAL ~~~
The man that knocked Rhema down barges into the confused doctor.
” Doctor…how is the pregnant girl? ” Terri looked muddled.
” The condition of that girl is very critical and alarming ” Doctor sweating badly.
” How? ”
” The accident triggers something ”
” Something like what? “Terri curious.
” The girl is currently in coma, even with that she has an Internal bleeding which we are trying to stop but no avail” Doctor spilled.
” You need to do your best… She can’t just die ”
” If she wakes up she might go into labour instantly. If I may ask…who is she to you? ”
” My name is Pastor Terri, the girl ran into my car obviously she wanted to commit suicide ”
” That’s right she is also running low in her blood pressure which is very dangerous for the child ” Doctor recounted.
” This is very bad ” Terri said in confusion.

” The pregnant girl is awake” A nurse rushed in.
” Wow”
” It seems she has gone into labor” Nurse said.
” Let me attend to her ” Doctor said to Terri and walked away.
” Thank God…She’s finally awake ” Terri said joyfully.
” Is she your wife? ” Nurse asked.
” Not at all… ”
” Okay” She walked away.
” God let her deliver like the Hebrew women… ”
