Mason and Skyler looked around feeling shocked. The sound ‘ha ha ha ha you have been fooled kept playing over and over the hall.
Skyler hugged Mason tight and burst out in tears while he patted her back. Now he was starting to get concerned about this threats he has been receiving because it was getting too much.
“Boss, ma’am are you okay? I just got a call from Alvin about the bomb, where is it? Let me deactivate it!” Trent walked in looking around but the sound he was hearing made him rolled his eyes.
Mason didn’t say anything for a while,he only stared at Skyler who had now passed out in his arms.
“The bomb is fake” he replied without sparing a glance at Trent.
Trent looked around and his eyes caught the bomb in the cake. He rushed over to it and took the bomb, it was empty just a stupid recording inside.
“d@mn! Who the hell did this, so expensive!!” He threw the empty bomb on the floor.
“Are there any reporters outside, order all of them to leave” Mason instructed.
Trent nodded and went outside, they were few reporters waiting outside while some has gone home expect Blake who insisted he would wait to see if Ivy’s relative are okay.
After the reporters reluctantly left, Trent went back in to inform Mason and then he came out with Skyler in his arms.
“Why is she covered in blood?” Edna wondered when she saw Mason bring Skyler out of the hall.
He didn’t enter the family car, he entered the one Trent brought with Alvin and Trent.
“Is Skyler okay grandpa?” Ivy was already in tears as she looked at the old man.
“I believe Mason would take care of her, let’s go home for now, I will ask Alvin to text me the location of the hospital and we will go see them” old man Mario replied and Ivy nodded.

HOSPITAL★
Mason followed the nurse who put Skyler in the stretcher as they rushed her to the emergency room.
“You should stay outside sir” the nurse stopped Mason who was about to follow Skyler in.
“Will she be fine?” He asked, still trying to peep inside the ward.
“You need to go out sir” the nurses pleaded and gently shut the door on his face.
Mason gripped his hair so hard before going to sit on the chair.
“Boss, Skyler will be fine, don’t worry too much” Alvin came to sit beside him with a soft look on his face.
Mason released the grip from his hair a little before turning to face Alvin. He looked serious this time.
“I want you to find out the person behind the fake bomb and the letters I’ve been receiving”
He finally decided to pay attention to these threats before it goes too far.
“I’ve been telling you about this boss but you don’t listen, I’m glad you’re finally putting this into consideration, I will look into this. Should I inform your grandfather about this?” Alvin then asked.
“No need, let’s not trouble the old man with so much worry” Mason replied and waited for the doctor to come out.
“I should take my leave before anyone recognize me then recognize you. When you’re ready to leave, I will bring my nose mask for you and ma’am Skyler” Alvin informed and Mason nodded before he took his leave.
After few minutes, the emergency door opened and a doctor came out with a bit of sad face. Mason stood up immediately in sight of the doctor.
“How’s my wife?” He asked, there was a bit of fear in his eyes.
The doctor didn’t recognize Mason as the popular hidden billonaire everyone has been in search for.
“Your wife has a long way to go” the doctor lowered his tone when he spoke.
“What do you mean?” Mason narrowed his eyes. He was hoping not to hear any bad news that Skyler wouldn’t be able to bare that was if she would be fine.
“She lost her baby of just two weeks” the doctor replied and Mason was stunned with what he just heard.
“She was pregnant?” He asked slowly just to be sure if he was hearing well or not.
“Yes sir but she lost it and according to the X ray scan, seems like she got hit, we are really sorry sir”.
Mason didn’t know how to feel about this, though he wasn’t expecting a baby but hearing to lose the little him growing in his wife’s stomach was not pleasing at all.
“Can we not let her know about this?” He said to the doctor after a little thinking.
“It would be best if you tell her sir so if she finds out later then she wouldn’t be too sad” the doctor said.
“I will tell her later but I don’t want to welcome her with such a bad news immediately. No woman would be happy to hear that they had lost their baby” Mason reasoned with the doctor.
“I understand, you can see her but she should be awake tomorrow” the doctor told him before leaving.
Mason went to the ward, Skyler’s cloth was changed to the hospital uniform already and she was asleep.
He took the small stool beside her and held her hands on his.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there and we lost this unexpected child, I will find out who did this to you and I will make that person pay” he said with his voice filled with a bit of vengeance while thinking of that little him or Skyler that just went to waste.
If the baby was a girl then she would have this angelic eyes and would be really pretty just like her.
He smiled a little and kissed her forehead.
“I love you Skyler” he said softly.

NEXT MORNING; DELGADOS’ MANSION★
“You wouldn’t believe the headline guys, everyone are talking about the fake bomb incident” Hudson walked to the dining where everyone were having breakfast.
It was Saturday so they didn’t have to rush to work and besides the old man told everyone to say at home to avoid any questions from the paparazzi.
“You should put down the phone and sit for breakfast” grandpa Mario said and Hudson put his phone in his pocket.
“But I’m wondering grandpa, why was there a bomb in my party? I haven’t offended anyone or is it because of the Blake issue” Ivy narrowed her eyes as she asked.
“If it’s because of that then I will make sure I go online and sue all your h@tërs. I would drag all of them to court!” Maya began complaining.
“That’s enough can we just have a quiet breakfast without bringing what happened yesterday up?” Grandma Mario rubbed his head tiredly.
“But how can we think straight grandpa? Skyler got hurt and she was rushed to the hospital” Jacob replied.
“Why would anyone even hurt Skyler? She’s too sweet” Hudson wondered about and Carson nodded, agreeing with him but not forgetting the fact that Skyler caught him as gay.
While they were all talking, Edna was busy on her phone. She saw a news that made her gasp out and everyone attention turned to her.
“I’m so sorry, I have to go upstairs” she apologized and excused herself immediately.
When she got to the room, she cleaned her eyes and looked at her phone again to see the third leading headline news after the bomb incident and Mason with his wife.
It was Regina Wilson who was rumored to be on a date with Zach since the two were spotted together last night having dinner.
Wasn’t it last night when she had a fight with Zach? Then he decided to go for dinner with her enemy?
This better be a prank to make her angry because it was working. She brought out her phone and tried calling his number but it wasn’t going because she was blocked.
She was really boiling as she checked the news again. People were already bringing her name into it, saying Regina was always a step ahead of her and they even had some fake videos about her reacting to Regina dating her best friend.
“Regina you’re such a Bîtch!!” She screamed out.

HOSPITAL★
Skyler blinked her eyes slowly as she woke up. She saw a strong hand hugging her stomach and she turned her side to see Mason asleep.
She smiled a little and brought her hands to his hair but he got alert at the single moment and immediately opened his eyes.
His eyes softened up when he saw Skyler awake, he sat straight and leaned closer to kiss her lips a little.
“Good morning beautiful” he said with a small smile.
“Morning” Skyler voice was tiny and she wasn’t smiling anymore, her lips were dry and her eyes seemed low.
“How are you feeling? You seem like you need water let me get it for you” he stood up from his chair and began leaving the ward but Skyler stopped him on time with her sudden question.
“Why was I bleeding yesterday?” She asked with a little tears forming from her eyes.
Mason didn’t know how to reply, he haven’t even thought of the lie yet. He blinked repeatedly and cleared his throat before turning to face her.
“I.. the doctor said it was.. it was because..”
“I had a miscarriage?” Skyler guessed painfully as she stopped tears from coming out of her eyes.
Mason sighed and moved towards her.
“I’m so sorry” he said softly.
Skyler bit her lips to control her tears.
“I was careless, you don’t have to apologise” she shook her head.
Mason sat on the bed with her and hugged her tight.
“I didn’t know I was pregnant” Skyler cried even more and her eyes turned angry as she remembered Hailey, the woman responsible for her baby’s death.
After a while Skyler stopped crying but was still resting in Mason’s arm.
“So what happened in the rest room?” Mason asked what had been dying to leave his lips.
Skyler was quiet for a while because she was thinking. She felt like she can’t just mention Hailey’s name because Mason would angrily confront her and it might spread round to Grandpa.
“I. I fell and hit my stomach on the..
“Don’t tell me that lie Skyler! Someone did this to you because when I got to the rest room, you were locked in and a normal person wouldn’t enter a public restroom and just lock the door!” Mason pulled away from the hug and faced her.
He just blew her cover, telling her that there was no need to lie.
“Just tell me who did it?” He looked at her with pleading eyes.
“It was Hailey but I don’t want you to act rash because she can easily deny it and turn the tables around and if the news spread out, I might be accused of trying to destroy her career” Skyler exposed her fears to him.
Mason was really boiling inwardly but he was trying not to act because of Skyler.
“I want act rash, I promise” Mason forced a smile at her. His voice was shaking to show how angry he was but was trying his best not to explode.
“Mason” Skyler bit her lips even more and wiped the tears that left her eyes but Mason leaned closer to her and pecked her forehead.
“Don’t cry beautiful, it’s not your fault it’s mine, I wasn’t too careful” he cupped her cheeks.
“It’s not your fault either, you’re trying your best” she muttered and Mason shook his head.
“If this was my best and all these still happened to you, then it’s not enough!”
From his tone, Skyler could tell that he was blaming himself and she tried telling him that she was okay but he wouldn’t listen.
“You shouldn’t stress or think too much about the past, I will get you some water to drink” Mason kissed her forehead again before leaving the ward.
Skyler shot her eyes tight and threw her head backwards.

“You called me boss?” Trent walked up to Mason who was out of Skyler’s ward already.
“I need you to get the footage of the ladies bathroom, I don’t know how you want to do it but help me with it” he said.
“I’m afraid that would be hard, I don’t think security camera can be inside a ladies room especially when it is in a high class party like that” Trent thought and replied.
“Just do anything Trent, I need to see who locked my wife in” Mason rolled his eyes tiredly and Trent nodded.
“I get it boss,I will get going then” he gave a short bow before leaving.
Mason didn’t mind that Trent see what he looks like because Trent was someone his Grandpa personally trained in a bodyguard school.
Mason checked his phone only to see lots of miss calls from Ivy, Maya, grandpa and some other of his family members and he sighed.
He decided to call Grandpa and inform him that Skyler was fine.

DELGADOS’ MANSION★
‘Where are you?’
Ivy looked at that text in her phone that was from Blake.
‘Home, grandpa said not to leave the house, I’m avoiding the paparazzi because of yesterday’ she texted back and he began typing.
‘Is your brother’s wife okay? Saw her bleeding yesterday and it suck’
Actually yesterday was the first time Blake saw Mason’s real face because he was too focused on his wife. Even though Mason face wasn’t exposed to his view, he could tell that the man was really goodlooking.
‘I don’t know yet, we haven’t heard anything’
The moment she typed, grandpa Mario began climbing down the stairs while talking about Mason and Skyler.
“I just got a call from Mason, he said Skyler is awake and she’s fine” the old man supported himself with the stick to climb down the stairs.
“Which hospital are they in? Can we go see them?” Ivy dropped her phone on the couch immediately stood up.
“Yes we are going to visit her, Emily” after replying to Ivy’s question, he began moving to the kitchen where Emily and Matilda were.
“Yes dad” Emily came out to reply him.
“You were making some soup for Skyler earlier, are you done?” He asked.
“Yes I’m done that, I’ve even packed it inside a flask for her” Emily replied as she went back to take the flask.
When she showed the old man, he snatched it from her.
“I will just go give this to Skyler I’m sure she must be really hungry. If you want to meet us then we are at Louis hospital” grandpa Mario replied and without waiting for her reaction, he hurriedly left.
Emily stood feeling stupefied.
Did that old man just walked inside the kitchen and take the food she has been spending hours to prepare for Skyler then claimed it as his?
She shook her head and sighed.
“Yes, thank you for the update” Jacob nodded with the person he was talking to in his phone.
When he hung up, he bumped into Rosa.
“Jacob, you were missing for two days, where did you go?” She asked worriedly.
“It’s none of your business mom, a useless son means nothing to his mother and he shouldn’t be telling her things,she shouldn’t be talking to him because everything he does doesn’t satisfy her” he replied coldly and stormed out of her sight.
Rosa just watched him leave with a sad expression on her face.

Laughter was heard from a man with deep voice as Venom explained what happened earlier to him.
“You you couldn’t just wait to see his reaction after he realized the bomb was fake?” The man sitting beside him asked.
“No dad but next time it wouldn’t be a prank, it would be real” Venom replied with hatred glittering in his eyes.
