“What do you mean by failed brakes? Where are you? Am coming to you and….” Amber stopped talking when she heard him laughing on the phone.
“It’s a joke. Don’t tell me you really bought the lie ” Roland said which got her feeling angry.
“Not everything is a joke you fool! Do you know how worried I am right now” she yelled down the line which startled Roland.
“But every thing is okay. Nothing is wrong with me” Roland told her mildly.
“You said you are on your way to the agency right? Make sure you get there save, am on my way” she said as she ended the call.
On the other hand, Roland continued his journey while wondering why Amber felt apprehensive.
Has a threat on his life been made again, he thought as he kept on driving.

^ D.N BODYGUARD AGENCY ^
The moment Amber taxi stopped in front of the agency, Roland also stopped his car.
“Am here now, safe and sound” Roland said with a smile before walking towards her.
“Stop thinking you are God and have a look at this” she said as she gave him the letter.
“Who sent this to you?” He asked mildly.
“It was among my mail when I checked it this morning” she replied softly.
” Don’t worry, I will handle it” he said as he fold the paper Into his pocket.
“Handle it? First it was the car accident and now this, don’t you think you should report it to the police?” Amber asked.
“Should I feel happy knowing that you are worried about me?” He asked.
“You really won’t take this serious right? Do wh@tëver you want then” Amber lash out as she began to walk off.
Unknown to them both a black sedan parked in front of the building and gently the wind screen was lowered and the unknown in the car pointed the gun at Roland who stood watching Amber walk off.
Amber stopped mid way and turned to Roland to say some thing that came to mind when she saw the black car.
Seeing the gun being pointed towards Roland, she began to run to him yelling out a loud.
“Get down, Roland”
The gun was shot but luckily for them Roland and Amber had layed on the floor which got the shooter shooting at nothing.
As soon as Darren and Marco with two more guards from the agency rushed out.
The black sedan sped off immediately while Darren and Marco went towards Amber and Roland.
“Are you okay?” Darren asked as he help Amber up.
“Roland has lost conciousness” Marco informed which got Amber kneeling by his side.
“Roland, they shot a gun at us. He could have been hit call for an ambulance” Amber urged looking worried.
“Take it easy Amber. He wasn’t hit, he only fainted due to shock ” Darren told her which got her feeling relieved while she held onto the unconcious Roland.

^ INFIRMARY ^
Roland woke up to find himself in an unknown room.
He was about to seat up when he felt some one holding onto his hand.
He stared down at his bed side only to see Amber sleeping beside him.
“Tch! She does care after all” he muttered as he tried to seat up, waking Amber in the process.
“How are you feeling?” She asked starring down at him with a worried look.
“Am fine. Are we still at the agency?” He asked.
“Yes. It’s the agency infirmary” she replied as she wipe her face which made him notice her injured finger.
“You are injured too” he said as he took hold of her hand.
“You don’t have to worry since it’s a little cut, I will….”
“How can I not worry when you got this while trying to protect me” he said curtly as he sat up.
“You are still not well enough to get up” Amber reproach but he only sat her down on the bed and moving towards the first aid box, he got the necessary things she need before joining her on the bed.
“This isn’t really necessary” Amber said trying to dismiss it but Roland wouldn’t hear a word of it.
He help her clean her wound and when the band aid was used to cover up the wound, he raised her hand to his lips and gave it a kiss.
“Thanks to me this delicate hand of yours had to get hurt” he said as he stared at her.
Amber who could feel her heart race just by the look he gave her quickly pulled her hand out of his and got off the bed.
“Seems like you are fine enough, I need to go back to work” she said as she head for the door but she wasn’t able to make it out cause Roland wrap his arms around her from behind.
“Don’t go, stay with me” he whispered into her ear.
“But have got to work and….” She let out a gasp when he softly bit her on the neck.
“What are you doing?” She let out softly as she move out of his arms.
“It has always been me right? You’ve never been intimate with anyone except for me right?” He asked which got her looking away.
“Stop flattering yourself, am going to work” she said as she head to the door only for Roland to stop her by lifting her into his arms.
“I don’t want you going anywhere ” he drawled seductively and made his way back to the bed where he layed her on it and also got In beside her.
They both slept starring at each other without saying a word.
“Will it be hard earning your love again?” Roland asked as he caress her cheek.
“I no longer believe In love” Amber replied.
“Then can I make you feel it again since am at fault. Can I get you to fall in love again?” He asked slowly.
“Why bother when I won’t be able to reciprocate” she stated with conviction.
“But I have a feeling that I can get you to love me again just like you did in the past”
“It’s best you give up and…” She didn’t get to finish her sentence because he kissed her shut.
Amber found herself yielding to the kiss rather than pushing him away.
“Give me the chance to prove to you that you, me and Liam can be happy together. Give me a chance to melt away the pain have caused you in the past, you deserve to be happy and I want to give you that happiness” he said to her and Amber couldn’t say anything in return.
“I will take your silence as a yes. Am gonna prove to you that we belong together” he said as he pulled her into his arms.
Unknown to them both, Darren had heard their conversation thanks to the door being left a bit open.
Feeling saddened by what he saw, he left the infirmary as quietly as he could.
He was almost at his office when he heard Roxanne call him.
“You should have just confess to her when you had the chance” she said slowly.
“Since when did you start poking your nose into what doesn’t concern you?” He asked in anger.
“It’s because of you that am concerned. Do you intend to pine for her in the shadows like some loser?”
“That’s enough, Roxanne”
“If you aren’t man enough to tell her of your feelings then forget about her and try to look around you, you might just….. Arrrgh!” She let out when Darren took hold of her arm and pine her against the wall.
“If I chose to stay quiet then it’s none of your business and also don’t ever meddle in wh@tëver concern me or I swear I will make you pay” he threatened and all Roxanne could do was to stare at his lips.
At that moment, she tried to hold back. She tried to stop her body from reacting but she couldn’t and pushing his hand off her arm, she pulled his head towards her and kissed him.

Estrella could be seen running to the rest room due to her being pressed.
When she was done, she came out of it to wash her hand only for the ladies standing beside her to let out a scream.
“You pervert! What are you doing in the girls rest room!” The ladies yelled at Estrella and when she was about to give a reply Marcos came to their aid.
One look at her short hair style and boyish outfit, Marcos thought her to be a guy too.
“If this a new strategy at sneaking up on poor innocent ladies then it’s best that you stop cause its not fun” Marcos told her.
“Get him out of here! He’s a freaking pervert!” The ladies kept screaming which earned them attention from the others.
“You are making them feel uncomfortable so I suggest you….”
“Uncomfortable my foot! If they are too dense to notice, why is it that you are more dense?” Estrella huff out in anger. “Can’t you see this? even though it’s small, it’s still a part of me which proves that am a girl!” Estrella said as she put her hand on her little B@@b.
“Oh! Am sorry, I really thought you to be a guy” Marcos apologize.
“Just because I don’t put on feminine clothes like them doesn’t make me any different. So be mindful of your words next time!” Estrella said before walking out of the rest room.
She was almost at the door when she tripped which would have got her fallen on her face if someone hadn’t hold onto her.
“Saved you mi lady” James said jokingly as he smiled down at her.
“Thank you” she replied as he help her stand on her feet.
She was about to walk off when Marcos appeared holding onto her hand.
“You and I need to talk” he said gruffly.
“I have nothing to say to you” she answered wanting to pull free.
“Just because I made a mistake doesn’t mean you can talk down at me like that so you’ve got to listen to what I have to say too” Marcos stated as he began to pull her off but James held onto her other hand.
“Can’t you tell that she doesn’t want to talk?” James said glaring at Marcos who was also doing the same.
