CHAPTER TWENTY TWO : FREYA’S WISH
Thanatos clear his throat, different thoughts flood through his head “did I interrupt something?” Looking at Asmodeus, I frown and exhale ” you two seem to be getting close ” Chloe slowly stood up, my whole plan was to disagree with that but Chloe, she thought of something else.
Her hands hold mine ” what do you expect ” I look at her, watch how smiles appear on her face, how can she change things so smoothly, she was angry just a minute ago. ” He is my husband”
” That’s true ” Asmodeus walk in ” do you mind giving your husband to me? I have something urgent to tell him ”
Chloe nod her head then look at me, the way she looked at me sent shivers down my spine, it’s obvious she is angry, how am I supposed to sleep today? With her this angry with me ” I will be out ” she smile, I knew it wasn’t from her heart.
” You do know how to hold a grudge ” I stop her from moving forward, lean close to her and whisper ” you really don’t look good with that much anger in your eyes, calm down…wait for me and when I return, I plan to kiss you” I withdraw and stare at her flushed face ” this time, it will be done properly ”
” I hold you to your words ” she smile before leaving, the door close shut, I sit down, all the minute that passed, I could feel his hard stare on my head.
” What is it”
” You like her ”
” You must be mistaken ” I reply, meeting his gaze, the idiot already sat down, looking fully at me ” I told you, I do not fancy her!!!! ”
” Then why are you getting angry? I just said it once” I frown at the smile on his face , he look so happy, as if he is right and I h@të the smug look on his face.
” Get out”
Asmodeus burst out laughing ” stop being triggered, I do have something important to talk on ” this time, he caught all my attention ” Missouri is here ”
I frown ” she is?”
” Chloe, Chloe’s spirit might have drawn her here ” Asmodeus frown ” the issue now is that we can’t find her trails, you know what she does to people who draw her close ”
” Having Missouri here is going to be big issues ”
” I told you countless time to date her ”
” Dating her won’t solve anything ” I frown ” you don’t think she is here because she is jealous ”
” That won’t be impossible” Asmodeus lean close ” I heard she has been watching you, have you been sweet towards Chloe?”
” I won’t say sweet ”
” Don’t tell me ” Asmodeus gasp, covering his mouth ” you have been kissing her”
” Does Missouri know the word privacy ” I frown and run my hands through my hair, I know for a fact that she is not here because of our past relationships, she must be after Chloe due to the strange aura Chloe keep emitting, she draws death to herself.
I h@të to say it but that’s the reason why I went into that music theater, that Hall keep emitting death, and I only found a small little girl calling to me, calling death to herself.
” Is they something else?”
” Of course not, you have always idle around with no work in your hands, you are a jobless man ” Asmodeus mock
” You don’t need to put it in that scenario ”
” About Freya ” Asmodeus smile ” how about you divorce her, I want her ”
” Hmm” I look at him, this phase of his, I know why he is this excited, the moment Freya fall into his hands, he might end up killing her with his obsessions, being a sin of lust, he can’t stay a day without sëx.
” No ”
“Common, you don’t love her ” he smile ” let me have her ”
” You will kill her ”
” What do you take me for ” he frown ” a murderer?”
” Since we are on this issue ” I stood up ” don’t visit her for three days ” he part his lips to reply but I beat him to it ” she needs rest, go and find someone else ” walking out of my study room, I frown, my eyes move to the sun, it’s going to rain blood soon.
I seem to have a lot of things to deal with and first of it, these lost souls, I look around, how Spirit are flowing everywhere, it’s been awhile I work….some of these humans even refer to me as the grim reaper.
But before I leave, I should check on Chloe, for some reason, I wish to see her before I leave for work, it will take days before I return.
Chloe stood still at the sight of Freya, she look so weak and horrible ” Freya?” I mumble and she quickly turn around, I look up and notice the ladder that she plan on climbing to the top ” what are you planning”
” Why are you here ” she mumble, her eyes seem so dead ” go away ”
” Don’t tell me you are planning on killing yourself”
” You have no idea what am passing through ” she yell ” I wish not to live this life anymore ”
I frown, I really don’t care about Freya but I still can’t let her kill herself, yes…she is the reason for my mother death but right now, she look so Dead while being alive, I need to help her ” I will help you ” Freya shoot me confuse look ” I will help you escape, come with me”
” Why would you help me ” she frown ” you h@të me ”
” And I still do, I just can’t see someone try to commit suicide ” I mumble ” am human ”
” How am I sure you won’t take me to Asmodeus ”
” I won’t ” I frown ” time is running out, come” we look at each other for few minutes before she take my hand, holding her hand I quickly walk out of the North quarters in the mansion, heading towards my chamber, we walk in, shut the door.
” Why are we here?” Freya panic, I could see that she doesn’t have trust in her to spare anymore
” Clothes, you need to cover properly” she nod her head while I look through the closet, the least thing I expect is the knock on my door, Freya look at me and I swallow ” bathroom, go in ” she did as I said and I open the door only to see Thanatos standing there.
This is weird, he hardly comes to me, have he notice Freya missing? Is he here angry? Planning to take her back? I should calm down, I should just calm myself and listen.
” Why do you look worried ” he walk in, shut the door and furrow his brows ” are you hiding something?” I clear my throat
” Of course not, am just surprised” I smile ” I didn’t expect you to come to me ”
” Hmm” he hold my hand and pull me close, those eyes looking at me, more like deep into my soul ” Chloe, are you hiding something” I didn’t reply, just stare at him ” I h@të lies ”
” I can’t tell you everything” I smile ” secret do spice up a relationship” he let go of my hand and nod his head ” are you here for the kiss? The one you promised?” At this point, I completely forgot that Freya can hear everything.
He shake his head, I know he wants it but at this point he always shy away, I know for a fact that he isn’t shy but he just doesn’t know how to deal with his physical emotions ” come ” holding his hand, I pull him to the bed, make him sit on it and I sit on his lap, wrap my hands around his neck while he hold my waist.
I know am usually good at this but the way he keeps staring at me, I couldn’t help but to feel shy ” you’re staring ”
” Indeed ”
” Close your eyes ”
” I don’t want to ”
” But how can you……” I stop talking when he pull me close and kiss me, I remain shock, this haven’t happened before, oh no … Thanatos haven’t kiss me on his own before, I gasp out of surprise and his tongue dive in, his hands pull me close and I close my eyes.
What is this feeling? This is just a kiss but I can feel myself getting wet, how is he so good at kissing ” what are you doing to me ” he mumble after breaking the kiss and trying to catch his breath ” do you use some kind of spell on me? I can’t seem to resist you ”
It was the first time I have nothing to say in return, I remain speechless while he kiss me for the second time, his hands grab my arse, pulling me closer, I reciprocated his kiss, my hands moving to his hair.
It was perfect, everything perfect but just like the gods that h@të me, a loud noise came from the bathroom, Thanatos break from the kiss and look at me with furrow brows ” what was that ”
” What are you saying?” I fake a confuse look ” I didn’t hear anything ”
” Get off ”
“No ” shaking my head, I look at him ” don’t do that ” he didn’t even let me get off his body, he stood up with me wrap around his body, he use his leg to open the bathroom door, I turn around to notice shock on Freya face, she must h@të the fact am wrap around him like this.
” Get off” Thanatos mumble and this time I did as he said, his gaze meet mine ” what is the meaning of this?” Before I could reply, Freya Walk towards my direction and slap me, I look at the tears swelling in her eyes while I hold my cheek.
” Is this your plan?” She hiss ” to show me that you have something I don’t? To show me that lord Thanatos is yours?” I furrow my brows at her words.
I wanted retailing, but what good will that do me, I look at Thanatos who stood there emotionless ” and you ” Freya look at him ” if you don’t want me, why don’t you just kill me”
” Is that your wish?” Thanatos mumble ” do you wish for death?” From the look in his eyes, I could tell he is serious.
” Over my dead body ” Asmodeus growl ” no body touches her ” and just like that, I knew for a fact that Asmodeus adores Freya but Freya, she h@tës him. One could see it in her eyes.
