*MY WICKED FATHER*
Episode 3
I immediately lifted my face to see Michael.
Oh, baby. I called with worry and melancholy.
He exited his vehicle while the passengers were
still inside,
What are you doing here honey? He queried.
My eyes started to tear up as I gazed at him.
Not the anguish that I was going through that
makes me to cry,
I wondered if he would do the same for me if he
were to be in my shoes,
Anyway, I was able to tell him that my father
had disowned me.
He knew the answer, thus he didn’t care to
inquire as to why.
He was in such agony that I could see tears
flowing from his eyes.
I gave him a short hug,
He gave me a hug in return while crying.
Oga, you dey leave us here to go make love
with your girlfriend abi? Passengers talking.
No mind am, make him no come carry me
commot here, I go collect my money ewu.
Another passenger.
passengers’ chorus reminded me that we were
standing on the road side,
So I quickly asked him to take them to their
destination,
When he arrived at the spot where the car was
parked, he begged everyone to get out and gave
them all the money he had collected.
Why do you do that mike? I enquired,
I came to the conclusion that I would have
waited for you until you returned to carry me.
“Please enter the motor.” He said.
And I waited for some seconds before I finally I
entered , and we drove out.

When we were so distraught on the road, I had
no idea that people were videoing us.
One content creator tagged, a poor cab driver
making love by the side of the road.
And the video has gained popularity;
which my brother Jake has seen, and is
undoubtedly showing my father, I’m sure,
He also would have texted me if I had my phone
with me. I smiled and pondered.

Nearly three months have passed since I moved
in with Mike, and neither my father nor my
brother have looked for me.
Although things weren’t exactly peachy for us,
we made due and had faith that all would work
out well in the end.
And Mike didn’t stop to summit his CV on daily
basis in different company.

Mike gave me his phone because he didn’t have
enough money to get me a new one.
Considering I was always home alone, I had to
manage it.
And he had intended to go bring the mother
from the village so I could talk to her when he
goes out to drive.
Until one fateful day when an unknown number
called,
“Hello,”. The caller said,
I never responded
Because I thought Mike was being called,
You have succeeded in in taking my Daughter
away from me right? The caller Said,
I swear with my life, I will come for you. The
caller concluded and ended the call.
Although I didn’t speak, but I quickly recorded
the call, that was my father, I said.
I grinned.
I don’t like him, when the man swears, .I
reasoned.
My thoughts were therefore focused on finding
Mike so that I could tell him what had
transpired.
