Thinking she was gonna come with him but she picked Finch over him. Seriously!
June and Finch walked away while Xavier found his way to class. As usual, people began talking about what just happened.
“But I thought you don’t like her being around you?”Noah said as they got to class.
“Not even you”Xavier groaned.
“But it’s the truth”Noah said.
“I just don’t like Finch being with her, it’s annoying”he said.
“I think you should see the doctor today. We have only two class. I can accompany you there”Noah said.
“You know what? Don’t talk to me”Xavier said.
“See ya buddy!”Noah was already at the door. Xavier sighed and rest his head on the table but he still couldn’t get over June and Finch being together so he went to search for them.
**
*EMPTY CLASS
“Wow, she got it for you?”Finch said as he stared at the phone and headset.
“Me self shock when the driver give me”she said and he smiled.
“So you would use the two phones?”he asked.
“No oo, I wan sell this one way she give me”she said and Finch smiled.
“Thought you would sell mine”he smiled.
“Na you give me first na, I no fit sell am”she smiled.
“I want to ask something?”he said.
“Ask na”she said.
“What are you to Xavier, why are you living with him?”he asked.
“I don forget wetin him mama call am, baby….. baby….. I don forget sha, na to dey follow am anywhere he dey go”she said and he nodded.
“So you don’t have any free time?”he asked.
“Na only if he dey sleep, I no fit leave am”she said.
“Second question”he said.
“Ask”she said.
“Hmm…. have you ever thought of attending school or at least know how to speak and write”he said and she sat well.
“Me be twenty four years, if I talk say make I go school I no fit know anything because my head and brain don close”she said but he didn’t laugh.
“Let’s do it this way, you teach me your language and I teach you how to write and speak”he said.
“No oh! You talk say na money you go pay na”she said and he laughed.
“Off course, I’ll pay”he said.
“Eh eh, now you dey talk well”she smiled and he checked the time on his wristwatch.
“You should go check Xavier now, few minutes before class starts”he said and she stood up.
“No worry Finch eh, if I make money you go be the first person way go enjoy”she said and ran off.
Finch smiled at her reaction before turning to leave but met Xavier. He has been there all through.
“What’s your aim?”Xavier asked.
“What’s your problem?”Finch asked.
“The question should be coming from me though”Xavier said.
“I told you already, she seem to get my attention”he said.
“Get it straight Finch, she came here for me, my mom got her to take care of me so you should….”
“Stop showing you’re a mummy’s boy and don’t try to fight for something I have eyes on”he said and walked away.
Xavier stood there for a while before walking away too.

*CAFETERIA
“You didn’t even attend class”Xavier said as Noah joined him and June, he hasn’t seen him since he left him in class.
“Can you not act like my mom”Noah groaned.
“Hey hey hey!”Mimi sat on the last available seat, dropping her food on the table.
“You aren’t invited”Xavier faced her.
“Noah, can you please tell him he isn’t my type”Mimi said.
“Type? You mean I’m more than your type”Xavier smirked and she laughed.
“Stop being high over yourself Xavier”she said.
“Your attention everyone!!”Gold stood in the middle of the cafeteria and they all faced her.
“My parents are out of town, so I planned a sleepover, everyone is invited!”she said, her eyes on Finch who’s sitting alone.
They began murmuring about what she just said so she walked away, to Finch.
“Can I seat?”she smiled.
“Sure, I don’t own it”he said and she sat down.
“Gonna come for the sleepover?”she asked.
“Don’t know yet”he said.
“Why?”
“If the person I’m expecting goes then I will”he said and the smile on her face fell cause she knew instantly who he’s talking about.
“Just know I would be happy if you attend”she stood up and walked away.
“June, would you come for the sleepover?”Mimi asked.
“Wetin be sleepover?”June asked.
“As the name implies, we’d be sleeping there but having a little fun before sleeping”Mimi explained.
“Wetin be fun?”June asked and Mimi groaned.
“Just come and you’ll know what is fun”she said.
“You go go?”June faced Xavier and he scoffed. June app translator already translated.
“No”he said.
“Diamond is walking towards us to confuse you on going”Mimi said and he turned to see her.
“You’ll come?”Mimi faced Noah.
“Sleepover are my favourite”he smiled.
“Was expecting that”Mimi scoffed.
“Hi Xavier!”Diamond smiled.
“Hi”
“You didn’t even see me off yesterday”she said.
“Sorry about it”he said.
“If you come for the sleepover then apologize accepted”she said and walked away, not waiting to hear his next word.
“Seriously! Are you both dating?”Mimi asked.
“I’m also curious”Noah said.
“We aren’t what you’re thinking about”she scoffed.
“She was like a claiming girlfriend just now”Mimi said.
“Exactly, as if he doesn’t do as she says, he’d face her punishment”Noah said and both laughed.
“Zavier, I wan do something”June said and he faced her.
“What?”
“Pesin dey wait for me”she said.
“Who?”he asked.
“No dey ask me question na, I don tell you where I dey go if you dey look for me so you go know”she stood up.
“Wait June, would you like to come to my house for a dress up for the sleepover”Mimi said.
“Your house?”
“Yes, my house”Mimi said.
“I no fit leave Zavier”she said and they laughed at the sound of Xavier.
“You just ditched me right now, so do what you like”Xavier stood up and walked away.
“Wetin he say?”
“You can with me and he’ll meet you at the sleepover”Mimi said.
“Oya na, when you ready”she said and walked away.
“Those…..two…..”Mimi trailed.
“Just be a sharma”Noah said and she smiled.
“I’m not studying that playboy”she stood up and walked away.

*LIBRARY
“Thought you won’t come”Finch said as they sat at the back end of the library shelf.
“For money, ahah”she said and he smiled.
“Okay, let’s start today’s teaching”he said.
“Na me for say that one”she said he chuckled.
“Okay ma”he smiled.
“Now you dey talk”she smiled.
“See eh, you go first Sabi talk as I dey talk, no be this american talk way una dey talk”she said and he nodded.
“I’ll try”he smiled.
“Hmhm, we go start with that one, na I go try”she said and he smiled before saying it.
“I….go….try”he said in his accent and she laughed.
“No be I go try, I go try”she said and he said it again and again. For like ten times before he got it.
“Yes!”she screamed.
“That’s too noisy”the librarian said.
“We’ll keep it down”Finch said.
“No loud talks in the library”he muttered.
“I no know”she said lowly.
“Should I say it again?”he asked and she nodded.
“I go try”he said in her accent and she nodded, folding her hand as if ready to give a punch.
“What?”
“Chop knuckle”she said, demonstrating it with her other hand.
“Oh! That”he smiled and did his while they bumped it together and laughed.
“My turn, you should say I go try in my own language”he said and she nodded.
“I’ll try”he said and she stared at him.
“Talk am again”she said and he did while she stared at his mouth as it moved.
“All try”she said and he laughed, covering his mouth with his hand so it won’t be loud.
“I try na”she said and he nodded, still laughing.

< Mila's Mansion * 7pm >
The living room is filled with people already. June and Mimi just walked in.
“I should just own my own shopping mall!”Mimi giggled as people stared at June.
“I no like as them they look me”June whispered to Mimi.
“I don’t understand”Mimi said and she brought out her phone, repeating what she said.
“That’s what I want”Mimi said and she frowned.
“Xavier and Noah! Hey!”she said and walked to them while June followed.
“You look sëxy Mimi”Noah smirked.
“I’m wearing just my usual!”she frowned and he smiled before continuing his business with the girl on his lap.
“Noah”June called.
“Yes June”
“Wetin you dey do? Na adultery you dey do dey smile”she said and Mimi chuckled since June app translator is still on so it translated.
“Not now June”he said.
“People for here no dey shame ooo”she scoffed and sat down.
“You see Finch?”she asked Mimi who looked around.
“He hasn’t come”Mimi said.
“Okay”
“You wouldn’t even ask how I am”Xavier who’s sitting opposite her said.
“I be nurse?”she scoffed.
“Off course, you’re more than a nurse to me”he said.
“Wetin your mama talk say I be to you again….baby…..”she trailed.
“Babysitter?”Mimi asked.
“Eh eh! Na that one. Babysister”she said.
“Not sister, babysitter”Mimi said.
“Na wetin I talk now”she said.
“Ohh God!”Mimi stood up and went for a drink.
“You wanna tell everyone that you’re my babysitter?”Xavier asked.
“Wetin do am if I tell them?”she asked.
“God, I shouldn’t have come”he muttered and rest his back.
Finch touched June on her shoulder and she turned back, smiling as she saw him.
“You come?”she said.
“You came instead”he said.
“Instead?”she said.
“I mean you should say you came not you come”he said and she nodded.
“Hey Xavier, I wanna take her for tonight”Finch said and Xavier stared at him then to June who’s also looking at him.
“No”he said.
“Xavier!”Diamond said as she approached him but he covered his hands with his palm, closing his eyes. Noah already left with the girl he’s with.
“I didn’t shout”Diamond said as she got to them.
June stood up and made Xavier stand up too.
“Angel I go come meet you “she said as she dragged him out.
Stylishly, Xavier turned and stuck out his tongue to Finch.
“That fool!”Finch fold his hand angrily.
*OUTSIDE
“Your medicine”she said and he took it from her with the bottle water with her.
“Make I call your mama or wetin?”she asked.
“No, I’m fine as long as you stay with me”he said and she looked at him before hissing.
“Wetin he dey talk”she muttered.
“You like Finch?”he asked.
“Yes na, why I no go like am”she said.
“What about me?”he asked.
“You? You like me way I wan like you”she hissed.
“You don’t….”
“No talk again, make we go”she cut in and he began walking in while she followed.
By now, they all formed a circle, ready for the truth or dare game. They’re all one hundred in total.
“Over here June!”Finch said and she walked to him smiling. Xavier went to sit with Noah and Mimi.
“Okay everyone, the rules of the game, if you can’t answer the truth or do the dare, you’re going inside the pool till the game is over!”Gold said and sat down, she’s also beside Finch which makes him in-between her and June.
A student rolled the bottle and it stopped in front of Gold.
“Wow!!”
“Truth”Gold said.
“What’s the best word you would love hear always from your man when you get one?”
“It will be three words instead. I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U”she stretched the words and rolled the bottle it landed on a student.
The game continued. Now it’s Diamond asking Finch.
“Truth”he said.
“Name of the girl you have eyes on?”she asked.
“June”he said instantly.
“I mean girl not lady”she said.
“What’s the difference, just the names”he said.
“So you’d get married to your big sis then”she said.
“Even June says it’s an abomination in her country”Noah said.
“And we’re in America not Nigeria”he said.
“Guys let’s roll”Gold tried changing the topic but everyone is already into it.
“But she’s a Nigerian”a female student said.
“Are you my mom nor dad to detect what I want?”he said already annoyed.
“Hey, Finch it hasn’t gotten….”Gold tried talking.
“It has exceed what you think it has gotten to”he scoffed and held June, walking out.
They got out and June slowly removed her hand.
There was no translator app on all through the game but she understood little of what they said.
“You like me?”she asked slowly and he turned to face her.
“I cannot?”he asked.
“See, we get different like, maybe na family own, friend own, love own dey, which one?”she said dramatically and he smiled.
“Everything”he said.
“Ehn?”
“Can you just pretend like nothing happened in there”he said and she brought out her phone.
“Talk am again”she said.
“You should be asking if I’m alright?”he said.
“I wan ask after you answer the one way I ask”she said and he smiled.
“Let’s go”he held her hand and they walked back in.
The game was still on but Gold and Xavier quit.
“Hungry?”Finch asked.
“As you ask I con hungry”she said and he shaked his head as he chuckled.
“Wetin happen?”she frowned.
“I think I am instead of what you just said”she said.
“We no dey learn now na”she said and he laughed, dragging her to the kitchen. They met Gold but she walked away.
“We no dey pursue you na!”June said and Finch smiled.
“What do you want?”he asked as they stared at the different food and fruits in front of them.
“The thing way I feel like chopping no dey here”she said.
“What is it?”
“Eba and egusi soup way Pomo, fish, dry fish and meat dey na wetin dey hungry me”she said and he laughed.
“No laugh na, you ask question and I answer”she said and he pretend to cough but he couldn’t control the laugh.
“I no go answer your question again”she scoffed and picked a plate as she picked different fruits.
“Okay….fine I won’t laugh”he said but she walked past him. He quickly dished his own food and ran after her. She’s already seated in the dinning.
“I’m sorry June”he smiled.
“I dey vex ooo”she said and he pushed back the laught that was about coming in.
“What should I do so you no go vex?”he asked and she looked at him.
“You say no go vex nownow, who teach you?”she said.
“My phone, I learnt it”he said.
“Ehn ehn, very soon now, me and you no go need the thing way dey talk for inside phone because we go dey speak the same thing”she said.
“But you should learn mine”he said.
“I go learn I go learn”she said, nodding her head.
“Give me your phone”he said and she did before continuing eating her fruits.
“I’ve download the app”he said.
“Which thing?”
“Where I’m learning your language from”he said.
“You go teach me how to use am later, make I chop first”she said.
” Guys. It’s movie time”Diamond said.
They all walked to the cinema area. Girls on their own whilst boys on their own also.
After that, they retired to sleep.
Xavier couldn’t sleep In a joint room, so he’s outside staring at the sky.
He turned to see Finch beside him.
“Can you stop coming to me”Xavier scoffed and face the sky back.
“Stop dreaming”
“You shouldn’t play with her heart”Xavier said.
“She’s not like the girls here Xavier, you wouldn’t know that even if you live with her for ten years and stop trying to come in between us, you never liked her”Finch said.
“What if I do?”Xavier faced him.
“I’m sure you don’t do older ladies”Finch smirked and he scoffed.
“And again, don’t try what you did tonight again, I might loss it cause I don’t deal with babies”Finch stood up and Zac did already angry.
“Should I take her away from here, I did win”Xavier smiled.
“That did show how stupid you’ve already been”Finch said and walked away.

< Island * Next day >
They all went to their various houses since they don’t have morning lecture.
Xavier and June just got home only to see Ma Angel.
“Mom!”
“Good morning ma”
“You didn’t sleep home last night, you switched off your phone”she said strictly.
“Sleep over at the Mila’s Mansion”he said.
“You shouldn’t be around noise!”she raised her voice.
“You’re doing one now”he said.
“Leave us alone”she said and he walked away.
Ma Angel walked to June, standing in front of her.
“You should know better, I mustn’t hear a call of him not feeling well”she said and the translator machine on the table translated.
“Yes ma”
“Did you watch him all night?”she asked.
‘i no go sleep na, I come this world come suppose on top your pikin ‘ she said inwardly before replying.
“Yes ma”she said and Xavier gasped from the dinning.
“Lier”he muttered.
“Focus more on study son and don’t forget, you can tell me anything”she said and he nodded.
“Be safe”she pecked his forehead before walking out.
“You lied, you didn’t even know where I slept last night”Xavier said.
“You no look like person way no sleep well na”she said and the translator machine translated.
“Wha…. what? Do I have to look like one?”
“See Zavier, I no get power to talk too much, go baff so you go eat take your drugs”she said and walked away.
“What the hell? What in the world is she”he muttered before heading to his room.
Few minutes later, both are back to the dinning eating.
“When you go go school?”she asked.
“1pm but I’ll skip it”he said.
“Ehn!”she shouted and he closed his ear.
‘ ah, person no go fit shout again ‘ she said inwardly.
“No vex”she said and he brought down his hands.
“Why?”she asked.
“Cause I don’t want to”he said and she stood up.
“You must to go ooo, Finch go dey wait for me now”she said.
“I don’t care”he said.
“See Zavier, we go go the school wether you like am or you no like am”she said.
“My drugs”he said.
“I dey follow you talk you dey change topic, you no get respect ooo”she said.
“But I want my drugs”he said and she brought it out, not without eyeing him.
“I wanna go take a nap”he stood up after taking the drugs.
“Time na after nine, I go come wake you when he be twelve”she said but he said nothing.
“I no dey play ooo”she said.

*12PM
June pushed the door to Xavier’s room open.
“Time don reach”she said. He’s reading a novel.
“I don’t wanna go, moreover I’m the one going to college not you”he said and she smiled. She already put on her app translator.
“I go count one to two, if I say two again, I go beat you”she said but he scoffed, laying well on the bed.
“One……t….”she didn’t complete it as she spank his butt with her and he jumped up.
“You go go wear better cloth or na mop I go use next”she said and he ran into his dressing room, holding his butt in his process.
