“You are the one who asked them to upload the video and pictures”Mina said looking heartbroken,she couldn’t believe Alex would do something like that.
Alex’s eyes widened in shock.
She hadn’t expected Mina to find out about her role in the video and photos.
She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out.
She didn’t know what to say to explain himself, or make things right. She had really messed up.
Mina’s face was a mixture of hurt and anger.
“How could you?”She asked, her voice shaking.
“How could you do something like that to me,when you know everyone in the school is going to h@të me?”Mina asked in tears.
Alex’s heart sank.
She had never meant to hurt Mina, but she knew that was exactly what she had done.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you, Mina,”Alex said, her voice cracking.
“I was just…I was just upset,I didn’t think it through”
“Upset about what?” Mina asked, her voice wavering.
“Did I do something wrong?”
“No, no, it’s not you,” Alex said.
“It’s…I was just…confused,I was upset about something that happened between my brother and I”Alex said.
“What happened with senior Rudy?” Mina asked.
Alex hesitated, unsure of how much to tell Mina.
But she knew she had to be honest if she wanted to salvage their friendship.
“He…he did something that hurt me,”
“Well…my brother played with my feelings last night,” Alex said.
“How”Mina asked.
Alex took a deep breath, trying to find the words to explain what had happened.
“He…he did some things that made me think he was interested in me romantically,”She said, her voice faltering.
“But it’s turn out that he was just messing with my feelings,I felt so hurt and embarrassed,”
“I know it wasn’t his fault since we are siblings,but he shouldn’t have leave me standing like that”
“At least he could have peck me on my forehead,if he won’t kiss me”
“What? Kiss you”Mina screamed.
“Yes,I know it is wrong,but” Alex hesitated, not sure how to explain herself.
“Alex”Mina called.
“I know it sounds weird, but hear me out,”she said.
“It’s not like I have romantic feelings for him or anything like that,But guess I felt like it would have been better if he would just peck my forehead than just leave me standing there”Alex said and Mina sighs in relief since she is sure that Alex doesn’t have feelings for senior Rudy.
“So the reason why you ask that girl to post the video and pictures is for revenge”Mina said.
“Not just for revenge,I also ask her to post it so you and my brother could get closer”
“Wait, what?!” Mina said, her eyebrows raised in surprise and Alex wink at her.
“I will explain,”Alex said.
“I’m all ears,” Mina said, leaning her head forward to listen and Alex pushed it backward.
“Are you being serious right now?”Mina asked, unsure if she was being pranked.
“Or are you pulling my leg?”
“I’m not pulling your leg,” Alex said, shaking her head.
“I know it probably sounds crazy, but I was just trying to help. I know you like my brother, and I thought if people saw the video and pictures of you and him together they would…”
“They would think we were together?” Mina finished Alex’s sentence.
“And that would somehow make him realize that I have feelings for him?”
“Yes,” Alex said, looking down at her hands.
“I know it sounds stupid, but I just wanted to help,I know it was wrong, and I’m sorry”
Mina was silent for a moment, absorbing what Alex had said. Finally, she spoke.
“Look,”She said.
“I appreciate that you were trying to help but this wasn’t the right way to go about it,”
“Because of what you did almost every girl in the school h@tës me now”Mina finished her thought.
“I’m sorry,” Alex said, looking down at her hands.
“I’m really sorry,I didn’t mean to let everyone h@të you, I just wanted to help”
“I know,” Mina said, reaching out to place a hand on Alex’s arm.
“But what you did had the opposite effect,” Mina continued and Alex sighs.
“I’m sorry”Alex apologized.
“It’s fine,have forgive you see you are try to have me to get closer to your brother”
Alex looked up at Mina, a little surprised by what she had said.
“You’re…you’re going to forgive me?” she asked, her voice a little shaky.
“Yes,” Mina said, a smile spreading across her face.
“Because I can see that you’re really sorry, and you’re willing to make things right,that’s all I can ask for”
“Thank you, Mina,” Alex said, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.
“I promise I’ll do my best to make it up to you”
“I know you will,by fixing another date for me and your brother” Mina smiled.
Alex’s eyes widened in surprise.
“You…you want me to set up another date for you and my brother?”She asked, not sure if she had heard correctly.
“Yes,” Mina said,still smiling.
“The first date was interrupted by that lady you called Ellie,”Mina said.
Alex was still in a bit of shock, but she managed to reply.
“I…I can try,”Alex said.
“But I’m not making any promises”
“That’s okay,” Mina said.
“I’m not expecting any promises,I just appreciate that you’re willing to try,it shows me that you’re genuinely sorry”
Alex nodded, still a bit dazed by the turn of events.
“I really am sorry,” she said.
“I never meant to hurt you, I was just trying to help”
“I know that now,” Mina said, reaching out to squeeze Alex’s hand.
“And I appreciate it,So, let’s try to make things right, okay?”Mina said.
They both smiled at each other, the tension between them finally easing.
Alex felt a sense of relief that they had been able to talk through their misunderstanding, and she was grateful that Mina had been so understanding.
“We should get going now”
“Yeah, we should probably get going,” Mina agreed.
“I’m starting to get a bit peckish, and I’m sure you’re starving after all of this”Mina said and Alex nodded.
“Yeah, I’m definitely ready for some food,”She said.
“Thanks again for being so understanding, Mina. It really means a lot”Alex said as they walked out of the class.
“Of course,” Mina said.
“We’re friends, after all,And friends forgive each other, right?”She added and Alex smiled.
