The woman stared at the blue Rolls-Royce Phantom as the door slowly opened.
The door of the blue Rolls-Royce Phantom slowly opened, revealing a tall, dark-haired young man dressed in a brown suit.
Immediately he stepped out of the car, the woman called.
“Rudy”She called and The man gave her a cold stare.
“I’m not Rudy anymore”He said,his voice sharp.
“Ohh, sorry,it’s Cody”The young woman smiled and rushed to hug him.
Cody stared at her face as she slowly blush in his arms then the mansion.
“Let’s go inside,”The woman said.
Cody nodded, following the woman into the mansion.
The entryway gave way to a large foyer, with a sweeping staircase leading up to the second floor.
The walls were lined with paintings, and every surface seemed to be covered in gold or gilt.
It was a dizzying display of opulence, and Cody found himself a little lightheaded.
“Where are we going?” he asked, his voice sounding strange to his own ears.
“To the parlor,” the woman said, leading him through a pair of double doors.
“There’s someone waiting for you”
Cody followed her as they entered the parlor.
The woman led Cody over to a couch, where a man was sitting.
He was dressed in a suit, his hair neatly combed, and he looked up as they approached.
His eyes widened in recognition, and he stood up, a smile spreading across his face.
“Rudy!” he exclaimed, and Cody frowned.
“Sorry, it’s Cody”The man smiled, embracing Cody in a hug.
“It’s so good to see you”
“It’s good to see you too, Mr. George,” Cody said, returning the hug.
“Please, call me Dad,” The man said, releasing Cody.
“Please, have a seat,” Dad said, motioning to the couch.
Cody sat down, and the woman sat next to him.
Dad sat across from them, his eyes fixed on Cody.
“So, how are you doing?” Dad asked, his tone casual.
“It’s been a while since we last saw each other”
“I’m doing well,” Cody said, keeping his voice steady.
“I’m glad to hear that,” Dad said, a genuine smile on his face.
“Hope you are treating my daughter well,”Dad added, his voice tinged with concern.
Cody looked at the woman beside her as she blushed heavily then the man.
“Of course, I am,” Cody said.
“I would never do anything to hurt her,she is the one who save my life before”
“I know you wouldn’t,” Dad said, his tone softening.
“I just want to make sure she’s happy. She’s my only daughter, after all.”
“She’s happy, I promise,” Cody said and looked at her.
“You look at me like I’m the most beautiful woman in the world,”The woman said, blushing even more.
Cody couldn’t help but smile at her, his heart fluttering.
“You are the most beautiful woman in the world,” He said.
The woman’s face lit up, and she leaned in to kiss him but Cody stood up before her lips could touch his.
“Cody?” The woman asked, clearly confused by his sudden movement but Cody ignored her.
“So father,what brings you here?”Cody asked.
“Oh”
“I was just in the neighborhood and thought I’d drop by” Dad said, clearly surprised by the change in topic.
“Okay”Cody muttered sadly and the man smiled.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Dad asked, his tone concerned.
“Is everything alright?”
Cody hesitated at the moment, unsure on how to ask.
He didn’t want to burden the family with his problems, but he also knew that he could use some support and they’ve already promised to help him get revenge.
“Is this about what happened to you?” Dad asked, his tone gentle.
“You can talk to me about anything, you know that, right?”
Cody felt a lump in his throat, and he swallowed hard.
“Even about your plan for revenge,I am ready to help you”Dad added as he stood up.
He walked closer to Cody and put his hand on his shoulder, his expression full of understanding.
“I appreciate that,” Cody said and Dad nodded.
“I will see you two later,I have some business to attend to” Dad said, squeezing Cody’s shoulder.
“I’ll see you around” Dad waves as he walks out of the mansion and Cody sighs heavily.
“Linda” Cody called looking at the woman behind him.
To his surprise, Linda was fast asleep on the couch.
She must have been so tired from the trip,that she had dozed off.
He didn’t want to wake her, so he decided to leave her be.
He took a deep breath and headed to his room.
Once in his room, Cody collapsed onto his bed, exhaustion finally taking over.
He had been through so much in the past few months, and he was feeling the weight of it all.
He closed his eyes thinking, and before he knew it, he was fast asleep.
When he woke up, he felt a little more refreshed, but also felt something on top of him, it was Linda.
“Ohh, you’re awake Cody” Linda said as she sit on top of Cody with her butt touching his d_1ck.
“Yeah”Cody said and she smiled.
“Mind if I sit here?” Linda asked, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Uh, I guess not,” Cody sighs.
Linda shifted her position, moving closer to Cody.
She leaned in, her lips inches away from his.
“Won’t you thank me for always being there for you,” She said, her voice low and seductive.
“Thank you,for saving me back then”Cody said.
“You’re welcome” Linda’s smile grew even wider, and she leaned in to give Cody a kiss but she suddenly got flipped over by Cody.
Linda let out a surprised yelp as she found herself flipped over on the bed.
“What the heck?” She exclaimed, a mixture of shock and laughter in her voice as Cody stood up.
Cody began to take off his suit as he walked toward the closet.
“What are you doing?” Linda asked, her eyes widening.
“I’m not sure this is appropriate giv……”
“I’m not trying to do anything inappropriate,” Cody cut in.
“I just need to change out of this suit, it’s uncomfortable”He said and Linda laughed.
“I see,” She said, her tone teasing.
“You’re not trying to make a move on me” Linda said and Cody sighed.
“Why would I do something that silly, it’s not like we are dating or anything” He said and Linda’s heart skipped a beat at his words.
She had been starting to feel a connection with Cody, and now it felt like he was pushing her away.
“You’re right, we’re not dating,” she said, trying to hide her disappointment.
“But do you consider us as lovers?”
“No,not a bit,” Cody replied.
“I don’t consider us as anything except friends” He said and Linda felt her heart being shattered.
“B-but” Linda paused for a moment and said.
“I think we should do what makes us happy”
Cody looked at her, and could see tears rolling down her eyes.
“Hey Linda,I ….”
“Father texted me and said we’re going to Dayton College,” Linda said, cutting off Cody before he could finish his sentence.
“Dayton College?” Cody asked, confused.
“I thought we were going to …..”
Before Cody could complete his sentence, Linda had already run out of the room in tears and he sighs.
He pulled out one of his gym shirts and shorts from his closet and began to change.
As he changed, he felt a wave of regret wash over him.
He knew he had messed up by telling Linda that he doesn’t consider them as anything when he clearly knows that she has feelings for him.
When he was dressed, he walked back out into the living room.
Linda was still sitting there, looking lost in thought with traces of tears on her face and some tissue on the floor.
He hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say or do.
Finally, he walked over to her and gently put a hand on her shoulder.
“Linda, I’m really sorry about what ….”
“Kiss me if you’re truly sorry”Linda cut him off, her eyes full of emotions.
“What?”
“Kiss me if you are truly sorry Rudy”
Cody was shocked by her request.
He didn’t know what to say or do.
Should he kiss her?
He didn’t want to take advantage of her in her vulnerable state.
“I… I’m not sure that’s a good idea,” He said, his voice trembling slightly.
“You’re upset right now, and I don’t want to take advantage of that”
Linda looked up at him, and he could see the pain and disappointment in her eyes.
“You are not trying to take advantage of me,” She said, her voice low and husky.
Cody didn’t know what to do.
He didn’t want to upset Linda further, but he also didn’t want to pretend he felt something he didn’t.
After a moment of silence, Linda spoke again.
“I understand,” She said, her voice still low.
“I just thought… never mind”
Cody nodded in relief that she wasn’t going to push the issue but was shocked when Linda lips landed on his.
