Later in the day, ji-ho took Si-u to the Su-ho cafe before she left for Baek-Hyun’s place, they sat down on the balcony avoiding each other, Baek-Hyun was paying attention to her teaching at the same time busy with his phone, then it rang, and he picks it up.
📞”Hello?” he answered romantically on the phone smiling, Ji-ho stared at him, and she became upset.”Are you serious?…..sure, tomorrow will be perfect….he chuckles.” I miss you more….bye”. he hung up. “what a sweet girl”. Then he paused as he noticed a fixed gaze on him, he met her gaze and could see jealousy and anger in them. ” is there a problem Miss ji-ho? do I have something on my face? why are you staring at me like that?”. he asked and she turned her gaze to her books and Baek-Hyun smirked.
“You should have taken an excuse before taking that call”. she said.
” Why should I? I mean this is my house, I don’t need anybody’s permission to do anything I want, not even you”. he replied harshly.
“Of course, I don’t have the right to that, but this is my period, and it has rules”.
“Like I care, your rules are only visible in the school, not here”. he said and then let out a sigh. ” are you done with your teaching, I have to go somewhere important”.
“No, we still have thirty minutes”. she replied unfriendly.
” Sure, wh@tëver, let’s go on with it”. A few minutes later, The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving in circles, and the wind started thumping, there was a tapping on the window and then it became a pitter-patter. “is it going to rain? Oh, come on!” he yelled in frustration and ji-ho stare at him.
“Are you scared of rain?”. she asked and he turned his gaze at her.
“Why should I? I just h@të it because it always ruins an important day for me, now how do you expect me to go out under this heavy rain?” he asked unlikely and the rain started to drop heavily “so, Miss Ji-ho, how do you expect to go home under this rain?”. he asked as he relaxed on the chair smiling.
” I still have hope, is just 4 pm and the rain will stop before 5 pm”.
“Okay if you say so”. They continued with their teaching, and some hours later, the rain was dropping down heavily and refused to stop, ji-ho was looking worried as she made a phone call to Si-u.
📞” You don’t need to worry about me eonni, Su-ho is taking care of me, I know you can’t make it home due to the rain, you just relax and take care of yourself”. Si-u said on the other end of the phone and ji-ho let out a sigh.
📞”Okay, if you say so, but if the rain stops before 10 pm I will come to Su-ho place”.
📞” You don’t have to do that, it will be late by that time and it’s dangerous, don’t tell me the place you are now doesn’t have good facilities”
📞”of course not”.
📞” Then relax”. She said and they sighed.” let me give your friend the phone”. she added and soon Su-ho’s voice came through and they started talking. In the dining room, Baek-Hyun came down to join them.
“Where is your teacher? is she not coming for dinner?”Mrs. I-jun asked
” I don’t know Mom”. he replied as his mother served his food to him.
“I don’t think she will be able to go home under this rain, let her pass a night here”.Mr.Dae-Jung said and then called out to one of the maids to go call Miss Ji-ho down for dinner, she left, and a while later she came back with ji-ho to the dining and then bowed and left. ” come on dear, join us for dinner”. he offered and ji-ho stared nervously at them and was fidgeting with her fingers.
“Um, thank you, sir but I am not hungry”. she replied nervously, Baek-Hyun stared at her and noticed how uncomfortable and scared she looked.
” Of course not, don’t be like that, we know you won’t be able to go home today, so have dinner with us”. Mrs.I-jun persuaded.
“I am ok, I really don’t have an appetite”. she said
” Are you sure?”Mr.Dae-Jung asked and she nodded.
“Okay, if you say so, I will ask the maid to arrange the guest room for you”. Mrs.I-jun said.
” Thank you ma”. she smiled and gave a slight bow, she turned to walk when Baek-Hyun’s words stopped her.
“That’s not necessary mom, cleaning up the guest room will take a lot of time, and besides Miss Ji-ho looks tired and needs urgent rest, so I don’t mind sharing my room with her, is big enough for more than two people”. He said and ji-ho stared surprisedly at him his parents quickly collided with his words and then agreed.
” Okay, son, that will be nice”. Mrs.I-jun said smiling. “Hope you don’t mind sleeping in my son’s room?” she asked ji-ho who looked surprised.
“Um– she got cut short.
” No, she won’t”. Baek-Hyun cut her short. “I know she will be comfortable”. he added and called out to one of the maids who responded quickly to him.” please take Miss Ji-ho to my room and make sure she is comfortable”. he orders.
“Okay, sir” She bowed and left with ji-ho, They arrived in the room, and she froze at the sight of the room. ” do you need anything ma?”. she asked and ji-ho turned and smiled at her.
“No, am ok”. she replied, and the lady bowed before she left.”wow, how can one person be sleeping alone in the massive room”. She said and suddenly her stomach growled. “gosh, why did I reject such a delicious meal, now I am hungry”. she walked to the couch and sat down holding her stomach, then she noticed someone opening the door, she sat upright quickly and adjusted herself. Baek-Hyun enters with a tray of food that contains white rice, kimchi stew, dried fish and vegetables, kimchi, spinich, and watermelon. Ji-ho was salivating over the aroma of the food but she decided to keep it cool.
” I brought your meal, I know you are hungry”. he said as he placed the food on the table and left to the fridge to get a bottle of water and a glass cup.
“I am not hungry, you really don’t have to”. she said, and he snorted.
” Are you sure?”
“Why are you doing this, I could be comfortable in the guest room why do you bring me to your room instead?” she asked unlikely and Baek-hyun sat down on the bed staring at her.
“you don’t like it in here? This place looks more comfortable”.
” I– she got interrupted as her tummy growled.
“You really need to eat”.
” I want to sleep in the guest room, I can’t stay in this room with you”.
“Why not? Aren’t you my teacher? Or are you scared something treacherous might happen”. he teases and she stares hard at him. ” so, don’t get your hopes high, I will allow you to sleep on my bed while I sleep on the sofa”. he added.
“Don’t bother, I would rather sleep on the sofa than sleep on your bed” she said unfriendly.
“Okay, you can have it your way, as long as it makes you comfortable,”.he said, and then left to his closet and brought out a pair of white joggers and a polo.” you can change to this once you take your bath”. he places them on the bed and turns to her with his hands in his pocket.” please miss Ji-ho, eat your meal, I will be in the living room in case you need my help or anything” He left shutting the door behind, and Ji-ho sighed.
“Why is he acting nice all of a sudden?”. she asked and then stared back at the delicious meal on the tray and swallowed her saliva. ” this meal is so tempting” She stared at it for a while and then dug in and started eating. Thirty minutes later, Ji-ho came out of the bathroom already in the clothes Baek-Hyun gave to her and she was using the towel to dry up her hair, suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and a maid entered.
“Sorry to disturb you miss, but I am here to get your clothes”. she said with a bow and Ji-ho stared confusedly at her.
“my clothes? Why?”.
” For washing, I was instructed to wash and dry them for you”.
“Oh, you don’t have to do that, my clothes are not dirty”.
” Okay if you insist”. she moved to carry the tray of leftover food but Ji-ho stopped her.
“You don’t have to carry that, I will do it myself”.
” Am sorry miss, I won’t allow you to do that, it is my duty”.
“but–.
” Please miss” ” She cut Ji-ho short and left with the tray. Ji-ho let out a sigh and sat down on the sofa, she brought out her phone and texted Su-ho to check up on them. After a few minutes, she started drifting to sleep, then she lay down on the sofa and slept off. Baek-Hyun came to the room later on and saw her sleeping calmly on the sofa, he smiled and moved closer to her, he bent over to her, and tucked her hair behind her ear.
“I seriously don’t know why I feel so attracted to you Miss Ji-ho, I try to follow your words, but is not working, I can’t stay away from you” He sighed and felt her hair and then stood up, he saw her clothes arranged neatly on the edge of the sofa, he turns his gaze back to her and then carry her up to the bed and covered her with the blanket before he left to the bathroom.
