“Sir, I don’t understand” the cook replied in pure indian accent
“You are fired, just get lost. I don’t want to see you again” Arnold said, tears were dropping from his eyes already. That’s how hot the pepper is
“Why are you crying, Sir? did someone die?”
” Someone die, just get lost”Sean snapped drinking from his bottle again
” I hope you enjoyed your meal “the cook said
” what!! ”
” Mister, you.. are.. fired”Ryan said slowly
The man went on his knees immediately, crying
” Don’t fire me, sirs. My brother needs money for his surgery, I have to work hard for the money. I can prepare another meal for you all if you don’t like this one”The man uttered sniffing
” Why are you telling us that? you can’t stay here since you can’t cook”Arnold replied eyeing the man
” Send twenty million dollars to…
“What’s your name?” Ted asked the man
“My name is Arjun, sir”the cook answered
” Send the money to Arjun, get his details from the agency who employed him “Ted said to the receiver before hanging up
” Thank you so much, Sir. The almighty will bless you”
Arnold fell on his knees too
“My mother is very sick, she needs urgent medical attention” he said, his face was like he wanted to cry
“What’s the meaning of this?”
“Please sir, help me” he added, drinking water again
Ted looked up from his phone immediately
“I guess Ryan was right, you lack sense”He said
” What!!”Arnold shouted standing up immediately
“Which of your mom? do you mean me? when did I get hospitalized” Arnold mom questioned
Ryan actually video called her as soon as Arnold went on his knees
“Mom, I wasn’t referring to you. I was just kidding” he said with an awkward smile
“Meet me at home this instant”His mom cuts him off, hanging up
Arnold looked at Ryan who had a smirk on his face
” I got my revenge”
“I’ll retaliate, I promise you” He said before rushing out.
“Have you guys heard?”Sean started
” Hazel’s birthday is tomorrow”he added
“Why are you telling us?” Ryan uttered
Sean casted her glance at Ted
“We are invited” He answered
“And we aren’t going” Teddy added standing up
He took his bottled water before taking the stairs
“I wonder what Hazel did to him that makes him h@të her this much. He was head over heels for her” Sean sighed
LEWIS APARTMENT**
“Mom, I’m home” Amelia shouted
“Welcome back honey. Go shower, your food will soon be ready”
I entered my room only to meet Ciara, my younger sis, on the bed
“What are you doing here?”
“Will you just bring your voice down?” she retorted with a slight frown
I looked at her in surprise
“Like seriously? in my own room? Maybe, I should just call mom over” I scoffed
“Please, I’ll soon be through” she said calmly bringing out a book from beneath my pillow
“You are doing your assignments late again”
“I watched movies and I got carried away” She answered
“Firstly kid sis, you should learn to be polite”
“Thanks”
Amelia looked at her for a while before peeling off her clothes intending to take her bathe
“Amy, I don’t…..
” Ahhhhhh” Ciara screamed immediately covering her eyes
” Why are you shouting? ”
” Get some clothes on or better still tie a towel”
Their mom, beatrice, rushed into the room
” What’s happening here? “she demanded
” She screamed because I’m naked”
Beatrice sighed deeply before turning to face Ciara
” What are you doing here? the last time I checked, this is not your room”
Ciara wanted to hid the book stylishly under the pillow but beatrice caught her already
” And what do you want to hide? ”
Ciara looked at Amelia signaling her to bail her out
Beatrice snatched the book from her
“Can you explain why you are just doing your assignment?”
“I’m sorry, Mom. I… I was… I was watching.. TV an.. and I got engrossed in it”
” So, Tv comes first before your assignment? ”
Ciara looked at her mom expecting the worst, Beatrice is a super strict woman
” You are grounded from watching TVs for a month”

“This is amazing, Mom” Amelia said giving her mom a thumbs up
“Of course, even Hazel loves my food”
“Hazel? who’s that?”
“Hazel is a popular female idol” Ciara replied
“So.. you’re working for her?”
“Yeah, I just started a month ago”
“Mom… I saw this at the restaurant today” Amelia stated bringing the scholarship form out
Beatrice scrutinized it for a while before facing her
“You wanna apply for this?”
“Yes mom, I’ll start reading and prepare hard for it”
“Okay, you have my support”
” Oh my, thank you so much Mom “she gasped giving her a side hug
” Good luck with it”Ciara muttered audibly
” Thanks a lot”
