°°SIX MONTHS MARRIAGE°°
“What are you doing here??” Yolanda asked and he smirked.
“Whoa! It’s Lady Cold, I didn’t expect to meet you again.” He said.
“Do you two perhaps know each other?” Mrs Adams couldn’t help but ask.
“Of course we do, infact we’re a thing. She’s the reason why I said I don’t wanna get married mom, she’s my girlfriend and I intend on marrying her.”He replied walking to Yolanda and they gasped.
Yolanda’s eyes widened.
Mr and Mrs Adams gasp happened to be the loudest. Their eyes dilated in shock as Miguel crossed his hand around her neck with her saying a word.
Yolanda looked up at him but he wasn’t looking at her, he had his gaze on the family members.
“Wow… Then we didn’t make a mistake by arranging a marriage for you two.” Mrs Adams said smiling sweetly.
“Excuse me? I don’t get…” Miguel said, doubting his thought.
“You two are betrothed dummy, she’s your bride we came to see.” Mrs Gonzàlez said as they began walking to her.
Miguel removed his hand from her neck and turn to stare at her. She had a ‘no expression’ on her face.
“She’s really beautiful than in the magazines.” Mrs Gonzàlez complimented as she got to her.
“I’m glad you’re gonna be my daughter-in-law.” She added before hugging her.
“I must say that my soon to be sister-in-law is very beautiful, I’m crushing already.” Little David said and they laughed.
Yolanda turned to see the little kid who was smiling innocently at her, she almost smiled at him but she didn’t.
“Awwwn, my crush just stared at me I’m blushing already.” He puffed Miguel scoffed jealously.
“Calm down dummy, I’m not stealing her yet.” He rasped and they laughed.
“Enough of the chitchats, let’s eat now, we prepared something.” Mr Adams said.
They nodded and began walking to the dinning room.
He’s her so called fiance? How? She was expecting her fiance, yeah. But she never thought for one day that she would meet the so called fiance before the D-Day.
Miguel who was almost at the dinning room stopped walking when he didn’t see Yolanda. He turned to see her still fixed on her root, staring into space.
He smirked before walking to her. “Hey.” He said behind her and she shuddered.
She turned to see him standing very close, their face almost met that if one of them made a slight movement, their face probably their lips will crash on each other’s.
He gave that his naughty flirtatious smile which made girls heart throb.
Her breath hitched and her heart started beating unusually.
“What?” She managed to ask, trying to hide her nervousness.
“I should be asking that?? Why are you standing here? We’re already at the dinning.” He said, smiling fulfilling probably liking the effect he had on her.
“I’m coming.” She told him.
“Right behind you.” He said, sensing that he won’t leave without her, she had to go with him walking behind her.
She didn’t know while she had a weird feeling about the whole marriage stuff.
“Finally, the couples show up.” Mrs Gonzàlez said.
“I was beginning to think maybe you guys were already planning to give us a grandchild.” Mrs Adams spoke up and they laughed.
Yolanda cringed at the thought of that.
“I didn’t think of that, maybe I would, soon.” Yolanda’s eyes widened immediately she heard him say that.
She faced him and he smirked.
“I trust my son.” Mr Gonzàlez affirmed, smiling.
“Hmmm… I can’t wait tho.” Little David voiced out.
Mr Adams smiled before looking at Yolanda.
He didn’t make a wrong choice right?
The maids serve their dish and they began eating in silence.
**
They were done with their dinner and were now sitting in the living room. David wasn’t with them as Mr Adams had ordered a maid to take him away, to play outside.
Mr Adams spoke up.
“So since Miguel and Yolanda already each other, it makes it easier for their marriage.” He said and they (except for Yolanda) nodded affirmatively.
“Yeah… I think we should leave the two to themselves, I’m sure they’ve been waiting for it.” Mrs Gonzàlez giggled and Yolanda almost scoffed.
“You’re right Rosè. Yolanda take Miguel to your room.” Mrs Adams instructed, while she inwardly rolled her eyes.
She was trying so hard to act along as they wanted her but she was afraid that she would blow off soon.
“I don’t have a room.” She said softly but one could feel the reluctant in her voice.
Mrs Adams slapped her head. “Take him to your room now!” She ordered.
“Enough with that misandry attitude and go chill.” Mrs Gonzàlez said.
“C’mon Yoyo.” Her dad urged.
“d@mn you guys!” She cussed.
Unwillingly, she climbed the stairs that led to her room with Miguel following suit.
“Have a good time!” Mrs Adams yelled behind her.
“Sure ma’am!” Miguel replied back.
She stopped when she got to the door. She noticed that he was still following her, he was really following.
“So you think I’ll let you into my room.” She said, and he smirked.
“Yes.” He dragged the word.
“You parents asked you to and you’re obviously not gonna disobey them.” He added and she huffed.
“F*ck wh@tëver they said. You should stay away from me, this marriage thing you seeing, it won’t work… Never!” She lashed out.
“We’ll see to that… First let’s go in.” He said pushing her slightly away from the door and he turned the knob.
The vainglorious atmosphere of the room came into view. “You have a nice room.” He said looking around the room.
It was a beautiful room. A queen sized bed neatly arranged was in the middle of the room. A closet by the end of the room. Her dresser was beside the bed and a door which probably led to the bathroom.
Yolanda walked into her abandoned room. The whole place looked completely different.
She couldn’t believe that she hasn’t been to this room for years. The place which was once her comfort zone, she abandoned it just like that.
The day she left for college was the last day she spent in this room. It was when she left for the college the gap between her and her parents grew. That was when she encountered her nightmare which turned her from a sweet and jovial carefree lady to a cold-hearted arrogant bítch.
