CHAPTER 21&22

“Why were you asking for me?” Kelvin inquired, facing Dera, who rolled her eyes at him.
“You can stop acting now, she isn’t here,” Dera remarked, causing Kelvin to sigh.
“I know,” he admitted, bowing his head.
“Wait… what is this?” Dera questioned, lifting Kelvin’s chin.
“Wait… Don’t tell me you like her,” Dera said, laughing.
“I don’t think so,” Kelvin replied slowly.
“You don’t think so? You were just supposed to sleep with her, that’s all,” she remarked, scoffing.
“You’ve been waiting for this day for a year, and now you want to sabotage it?” Dera added, annoyed.
“I know, but Timi has been through a lot. She doesn’t trust guys, and now I want to do this to her?” Kelvin pondered aloud.
“You didn’t care about this before when we planned it. What’s even wrong with you?” Dera questioned, visibly irritated.
“Just calm down, obviously I will do what I was supposed to do. I promise I will,” Kelvin assured her, making Dera smile. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him softly on his lips.
“Stick to our plan,” she reiterated, giving him another kiss.
Kelvin felt conflicted. He had planned to get Timi to like him so he could sleep with her. She was beautiful, but people had always been scared to approach her. Now that she was becoming comfortable with him, he saw an opportunity to get to know her better and maybe even become her boyfriend.
But he couldn’t deny that he genuinely liked her. He never thought she would reciprocate his feelings, but she even kissed him at the party. However, if Timi found out about his initial intentions, she would be furious and might never talk to him again.
He also had feelings for Dera, but her behavior with Atlas was starting to bother him. However, he didn’t feel like he had any right to say anything.
“You’re back,” Timi’s voice interrupted his thoughts, and he smiled.
“Hope you didn’t miss me too much,” he teased, sitting beside her.
“Why should I?” she responded, smiling.
“Why won’t you?” he countered, moving his face closer to hers and giving her a light kiss.
“So… what are you doing?” he asked, picking up the book from the table.
“Reading,” she replied, smiling. Kelvin couldn’t believe that Timi was smiling at him. Normally, she had a fierce demeanor and didn’t smile or talk much. Now, she was even allowing him to kiss her.
“You and reading, huh?” he teased.
“So you want me to fail?” she retorted.
“No, no, but still take a break for a day,” he suggested.
“Not possible,” she replied, resting her head on his shoulder.
“Has Dera come to apologize?” Kelvin inquired.
“Dera? Mtchewww, I don’t even need her apology, to be honest,” Timi replied.
“Yeah, you don’t need it,” Kelvin agreed, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
“What do you think about going out with me this Saturday?” he proposed, causing Timi to raise her head to look at him.
“Just you and me?” she asked.
“Yes, or are you scared?” he regretted asking her that, knowing what she had been through.
“No, not really, it’s okay,” she replied, resting her head back on his shoulder.
“What time?” she asked.
“2 pm,” he replied.
“Perfect,” she said, smiling.
🍒 TIMI🍒
I grinned as Kelvin’s words filled my ears. It was becoming clearer by the moment that I liked him, his presence just made everything feel lighter and safer.
“Timi,” I turned to find Dera staring at me.
“I’m sorry about what I said,” she offered an apology, but her insincerity was palpable.
“It’s okay,” I responded, my head still resting on Kelvin’s shoulder. Dera didn’t press further and walked away.
“She doesn’t really mean it,” I remarked to Kelvin, who chuckled in agreement.
“Yeah, she doesn’t,” he confirmed.
After school, I headed home. The heat was oppressive, so I decided to take a swim before retreating to my room.
My phone suddenly rang, displaying Kelvin’s name. A smile tugged at my lips as I answered.
“Hey,” I greeted cheerfully.
“Timi,” Kelvin’s voice sounded warm.
“Uhm,” I replied.
“You’ve been on my mind,” he confessed, eliciting a laugh from me.
“Why me?” I teased lightly.
“You know why. You’ve been filling my thoughts,” he explained, making me grin.
“Can I come over?” he asked. With my parents out, his visit was plausible.
“Sure,” I replied eagerly.
“I’ll be there in twenty minutes,” he promised, prompting another laugh from me.
“Take care on your way here,” I joked before ending the call.
I lay on my bed, smiling, before standing up. I looked at myself in the mirror before changing into different clothes from my closet. Was I really doing this because of Kelvin? Oh, Sh|t!
I dashed downstairs as soon as the housemaid informed me that somebody was at the door.
“Welcome to my house,” I greeted, spreading my arms wide.
“Thank you,” he replied with a smile, and we embraced.
“I never thought I’d be able to enter your house one day,” he remarked, taking in the surroundings.
“Well, here you are,” I said, leading him inside.
“Let’s go upstairs,” I suggested, and we made our way up to my room.
“My room,” I announced as we entered.
“It’s beautiful,” he complimented, taking a seat on my bed.
“I have a couch,” I joked, earning a laugh from him.
“Come here,” he invited, tapping his lap. I grinned and settled onto his lap, feeling his arms wrap around my waist.
“So, what do you do alone in your room?” he inquired.
“Read mostly,” I replied.
“Only reading?” he exclaimed, sounding surprised.
“What else should I be doing?” I retorted playfully.
“Not sure. So, you don’t have any friends?” he asked, his hands tracing comforting circles on my back.
“Not really. My sister’s my best friend,” I explained, watching his smile widen.
“That’s cute,” he commented before planting a kiss on my cheek.
“You look beautiful,” he murmured, causing me to blush.
“Thank you,” I said, feeling a rush of warmth.
“I swear, it’s the first time you’ve actually said thank you for a compliment,” he remarked, and we both laughed.
“Well, your compliments are nice,” I admitted with a grin.
He looked at me for a moment before leaning in to kiss me. The kiss started slow but quickly deepened, and I found myself lost in the moment. His lips were soft and inviting, and I savored every moment of our embrace. His hands moved to my @$$, giving it a gentle squeeze that made me giggle.
“I finally get to touch that,” he murmured, his lips still lingering close to mine.
We continued kissing until my phone interrupted us with its ringing. Reluctantly, I broke away and stood up to answer it, showing Kelvin my phone screen and gesturing for him to keep quiet.
“Good evening, sir,” I greeted as I picked up the call.
“Good evening,” my dad replied, his tone serious.
“Who’s the guy in your room?” he asked, and my heart skipped a beat.
