★A week after* Ivan’s birthday★
The Authur’s Mansion was decorated too very well, all work done by Ivy and some planners helped in the decorations.
As per Ivan’s instructions, the decor colour is in Orange and White, and everything was looking pretty and radiant.
Some prominent people, business men all around, Ivan’s business partners and others were present there.
Everywhere became silent when the spotlight was shone on the birthday celebrant.
” Ladies and Gentlemen, let’s welcome our celebrant. The big Ivan Aurthur!!!” The MC announced
People started clapping and cheering as he descend the stairs.
” Whoo, go brother.” Louisa yelled where she was seated, Ryan was beside her.
Sophia, Bryan, Melody and Noah also came. Noah came on his own cause Ivan is his parents business partners too.
” Gush, he is looking so handsome today.” Ivy said as she stared at him.
He is dressed in a white suit and trouser, he was looking so hot.
👥: Ivan, we love you.
👥: Happy birthday Ivan.
People started shouting and he waved at them and went to the stage, he took over the mic.
” Thank you, thank you everyone for coming to wish me on my birthday. I really appreciate, thank you so much.” As he spoke, people started cheering and he had to wait till he die down.
” I hope you all enjoy yourself tonight, feel free. Eat, drink and dance, and our new project will be out in sometimes.” Ivan said and for the first time, he smiled.
👥: Oh gosh, his smile is so charming.
👥: Haven’t seen his smile ever.
👥: Everything they do, always turns out best.
👥: Best among all.
” He is smiling? Wow, he looks more handsome.” Ivy said smiling.
” Did you get to do it?” Ma. Rose asked besides her and she nodded.
People started enjoying themselves, all of them put a smile on their faces.
Ivy excused herself to the restroom, as she was about going back she bumped into someone. With his cologne, she could tell it’s Ivan even without looking up.
” Happy birthday sir.” Ivy said and she flashed a smile.
” Did you get my birthday present?” Ivan asked sarcastically.
” Do you want a gift from me?” Ivy asked and he raised his brows.
” It’s okay, I don’t need it.” Ivan said and turn to go but Ivy held his arm.
He turned back slowly and he looked at her for a minute, he couldn’t deny she was looking so beautiful.
” Well I have a gift, and I hope you like it.” Ivy said.
” What’s that?”
” It’s a surprise, so wait for it.” Ivy stood on her toes and whispered in his ear.
Ivan stood there for a while, Ivy turn to go but she stopped to say something.
” Less I forget, you.. look so handsome today.” Ivy managed to say.
Ivan just kept looking at her in surprise, his heart just kept beating.
* What’s happening, people tell me I look handsome all time but why it is so special hearing it from her.* Ivan said in his mind.
Ivan was about to talk when someone interrupted, Noah.
” Mr. Ivan.” Noah said and walked closer to them.
” I will leave now.” Ivy said and look at Ivan again before leaving.
” Happy birthday, Mr. Ivan.” Noah said as they shake.
” Thank you, thanks for coming.” Ivan said and he took the handshake.
” Looking forward in doing business together.” Noah said.
” Of course, after the project is done. An auction will be done as always, and I hope you will participate this time too.” Ivan said.
” Of course.” And like that, they walked to the main party.
” Hey, birthday boy.” Bryan said and Ivan face him.
” Boy? Am I boy? Am a man .” Ivan said and Bryan laughed.
” Okay, okay. Chill, Happy birthday.” Bryan said and they hugged.
” What of your Dad?” Ivan said.
” Oh, he was supposed to come but something came up.” Bryan said.
” Nevertheless, you are here and it’s okay.” Ivan said and Bryan smiled.
In another seat, Ivy, Melody and Sophia were just chit chatting.
” Why aren’t you telling us what you are giving Ivan.” Melody said.
” It’s a surprise, wait for it.” Ivy said.
” We have missed you like, how do you even survive in this house with that cold business man.” Sophia said.
” Common, he is not really that cold but don’t worry all is well.” Ivy said and her mind suddenly travelled to the deal between her and Ivan.
* Am leaving after this anyways.* Ivy said in her head and look at Ivan who was also looking at her.
He read her mind. Ivy looked away and they continued their conversation.
★ Airport★
A woman and a man got down from the plane and removed their glasses.
” Wow wow, after so many years, we finally came back to this country. Can’t wait to be home.” The woman said.
” That girl said a car would come pick us, so let’s go.” The man said and they got out.
True to the words, a car was actually waiting for them.
★ Back at the Mansion★
Melody went to take something in Ivy’s room, Ivy asked her. She was about going back to the hall when Noah blocked her way.
” Melody, can we talk?” Noah said.
” Mr. Rodriguez, I have no time for that.” Melody said walking off but Noah held her.
” Please Melody, am really sorry for wh@tëver happened at my house the other day. I didn’t know my parents would do that and for Lisa, I swear to you I love her. I told you I don’t want to get married to her.” Noah said.
” Why are you telling me this, you can love whoever you like.” Melody said.
” Because I…” Noah stopped.
* I shouldn’t tell her now.*
” I will tell you at the right time, trust me. But please can you stop getting angry with me, I really don’t like it. It’s been long we have talked to each other and chatted for long.” Noah said..
“I…” Melody was about to talk when Ivy interrupted.
” You? I mean why are you with Melody?” Ivy said.
” It’s a long story Ivy, let’s go. I will tell you about it.” Melody said as she dragged Ivy downstairs.

Ivan talking to some of the business partners, accepting their gifts and appreciating them, when he bumped into someone.
” You!” Ivan said and he frown.
” Happy birthday Mr. Ivan.” It’s Melissa.
She found a way to enter into the mansion and joined the party.
” Melissa, where on earth have you been. Do you know how much work you have made me do all alone.” Ivan said.
” Sorry sir, I had to travel down to another state for a family.” Melissa lied.
” It’s no problem, you are back now right?” Ivan said.
” Of course.”
* Of course, Ivan Aurthur. I am back for good.* Melissa said in her head and smirk.
They were still busy talking when Ivy saw them. She got angry seeing them together and got more angrier the moment Ivan touched Melissa’s shoulder and Melissa smiled.
She walked towards them in anger.
” Ivan sir.” She called ignoring Melissa.
” What’s it?” Ivan asked.
” Come with me, I have to show you something.” Ivy said and she held his hand.
” Hey, don’t you see me talking to him.” Melissa said.
” Oh Melissa, sorry I didn’t see you. But you really just have to let go of him because I need him. Clear? Let’s go.” Ivy said and Ivan looked at her in surprise.
Melissa was already angry.
* Again, I am back to this witch era.* Melissa said in her head.
” MC sir, why don’t you let’s do something fun, what do you think.” Ivy said.
👥: Yes. The people chorused.
” So what did you suggest Miss.” The MC asked.
” What are you doing Ivy?” Ivan whispered to her.
” So, I suggest we all dance. Like a ball dance, are we all in.” Ivy said.
👥: Yes
” Okay guys, choose your partners.” Ivy said and everyone started picking their partners.
” Nice idea.” Ivan muttered.
Melissa was about going towards Ivan, when Ivy saw her and quickly ask him.
” Cold ice, wanna dance?”
” You still call me that?” Ivan asked and scoff.
” Forget that, dance with me.” Ivy said and stretch out her hands which he accepted.
They all got on the dance floor and song played behind. Noah asked Melody, Bryan and Sophia, obviously Ryan and Louisa.
Melissa looked at them in anger.
” Wanna join me?” A guy asked Melissa.
” Get lost before I lose my temper.” Melissa said and the guy left.
A car drove in Aurthur’s Mansion and the two people got down from the it. The guards greeted them and they entered the mansion.
Ivy and Ivan were still busy dancing, with other people too. Ivan’s hand on her waist and the other holding her hand.
All of them danced like a couple, but Ivy and Ivan’s seems so special. They stared at each other intensely and Ivy shiver as Ivan’s hand made contact with her waist.
” Are you feeling uncomfortable?” Ivan asked.
” Umm, no.” Ivy answered.
” Thank you.” Ivan said.
” But I will be leaving after this anyways.”
” I..ummm” Ivan was about talking when the lights went off but as soon as it came on, both Louisa and Ivy’s eyes widened.
” Mom, Dad.” Louisa said and left Ryan running towards them.
” Uh, my baby.” She hugged her back.
They looked at Ivan, who was also glaring at them.
” Ivan dear, won’t you come and greet your parents.” His Dad said.
Ivan balled his fist in anger. People were already murmuring
” Why are you here?” Ivan asked.
” Oh, a girl called us over. I can’t even find her here, her name is Ivy.” His mom said.
” What! Ivy, is this the surprise she was talking about?” Ivan said.
” Where is she, can’t see her here.” His Dad said.
Ivan looked besides him and didn’t see Ivy, he looked around but no sight of her.
That way, they started searching for her but couldn’t find her anywhere in the mansion.
” Ivy!!!” Ivan yelled angrily.
