CHAPTER 11⚔️12
Evelyn watched herself in the mirror as she prepared for work.It was going to be her first day in work and she wants to look innocent and unsuspicious.
She picked up her bag and walked out of the room.She boarded a taxi and headed to work.

Charles woke up very early surprising lady Alicia.He dressed up and ate his breakfast before heading to work.It seemed like he had an appointment but he didn’t.He wanted to be in work early enough to see Evelyn.
He had been thinking about her all through the night and as soon as the day break he couldn’t wait to see her.
He got to work and sat in his office tapped the table as he expects her.
Evelyn got to work and ran towards the elevator.She was 10mins late for work and it could only be blamed on the traffic on her way there.
She hurriedly got out of the elevator and moved to the Ceo’s office.She knocked and waited to be called in.
Charles was still expecting her when he heard a knock on the door.He wondered who knocks on a office’s door.Most of his employees, don’t bother to knock.He stood up and moved towards the door.
He opens it and his mouth hung up in admiration.Evelyn was before him dressed simple but it looked like she was the most elegant lady he had ever seen.
She was so beautiful beyond description and he wondered if she was really from this world.
Evelyn looked at Charles and she could say that he looked so handsome.She wondered if he was really the guy she was sent to kill because it will be a great waste to eliminate such an handsome man from the world.
“Good morning,sir”said Evelyn and Charles nodded in reply.He made way for her to walk in and she entered the office.
Charles followed and he sat on his chair while she sat opposite him.
“Why couldn’t you just come inside instead of knocking?”asked Charles.
“It is normal courtesy to knock,sir”replied Evelyn.
“Really?It would have been more helpful if you applied that courtesy yesterday before barging in”Charles said and huffed.
“I regret doing that and I sincerely apologise,sir.”replied Evelyn tilting the last part of the sentence while Charles scoffed.He knew she didn’t mean it.
“Are you always this late to anywhere you are going to or you just love being late to this place?”asked Charles and Evelyn bit her lips in embarrassment.
Charles saw it and he gulped down hardly.That act of hers looked so hot in his sight and he felt like he could just lose his mind.
“Don’t bother if you have no good answer”Charles said just as Evelyn was about to say something.Evelyn swallowed her words and rested back on the chair.
An uncomfortable silence followed and Charles’s eyes kept bulging holes on Evelyn’s face.
He would love to keep her by his side all day but he had a lot of work to do.She will only be a distraction to him and he might end up staring at her face throughout the day.
He picked up the Telecom and dialed a number.
“Come to my office now”he said over the line.
After about 10mins,a middle-aged man walked into the office.He bowed slightly to Charles and Tuesday to Evelyn.
He was caught up in her beauty and he wondered how a lady could be so beautiful.He turned back to Charles.
“Is this the new guard,sir?”asked the man and Charles nodded.
“This is Evelyn Sylvester and she is going to be in charge of me.You give her all my schedules and also make sure you provide her with a gun.She is going to be with me everytime so call the guards in the main house to prepare a room for her.”Charles said surprising both Evelyn and the man.
The man kept his mouth shut and faced Evelyn.He knew better than talking and he didn’t want to get on Charles’s nerves.
“I am Gabriel Brooke,the head guard of Stardust group.It is nice meeting you.”said Gabriel as he stretched out his hand for a handshake which she shook.
Evelyn faced Charles questioningly.”What do you mean by a room for me? Don’t tell me I will be living with you.”said Evelyn and Gabriel was amazed at the casual way she was speaking to Charles.
“Yes,Eve.You are going to be staying with me.You are my personal guards so you have to protect me everywhere including my house.”said Charles and that was not true.
His past personal guards had only protected him in work and they had no reason to stay in his house but he felt like having her by his side 24/7.
“Come with me,miss Evelyn”said Gabriel as he moved out of the office.Evelyn glare hardly at Charles before following him.
Staying at his house will increase her chances of killing him but she wouldn’t be able to plan and she might be monitored everytime.
She breathed in and reassured herself that she could do it and she began to re-plan in her head as she followed Gabriel.
Charles sighed as they left.
“Get a grip of yourself, Charles. She isn’t the first lady to make you feel like this”Charles lied to himself.
She was really the first lady to make him feel like that.
