Grace was about entering her car, when Craig quickly approach her, calling her name. She was done working at the station and decided to call it a day.
“Grace!” He said with a bright smile approaching her. Grace turned behind her and then looked back at Craig.
“Are you talking to me?” She asked, pointing at herself.
“Yes I am talking to you Grace, you are the only one who bears Grace Tilley around here” He said, keeping up with his smile.
“Are you by chance crazy? Didn’t you read the code of conduct during your training?” She asked.
“Of course I did” Craig answered, smiling.
“Then I am sure you were told to always respect your superiors right? You don’t go about calling my name or speaking to be informally”
“What’s wrong if I talk to you in an informal way, I am two years older than you” Craig said and Grace furrowed her eyebrows.
“Do you know me?”
“Of course I do, I have known you since fifteen years ago”
“Fifteen years ago? From what I can remember I don’t keep guys as friends, so how did you know me, and I don’t know you?” Grace asked and Craig smiled.
“It’s impossible for you to know me, since we met once fifteen years ago. I only got to know you because I looked into your background from day one until now. I was super excited when I got posted here, because I will get to see your face again” Craig said.
“Hold on for a second, I don’t get you, what do you mean by you have been looking into my background for more than a decade? How did we met and why did you investigate my life?” Grace asked, looking at Craig, but she couldn’t remember where or how she met him.
“My name is Craig, I will become stronger so you can accept my gratitude. Does that ring a bell?” Craig asked Grace. Grace walked closer to him looking at his face.
“You’re that guy who was been beaten up by his senors years ago?” She asked, and Craig smiled.
“Yes, I am the one”
Grace step backwards and looked at him from head to toe. “What’s a weakling like you doing in the police force?” She asked.
“I wasn’t joking when I told you that I was going to become stronger so you’d accept my gratitude” He said with a smile.
“And you expect me to buy that. I don’t believe you, I still think you’re that weak child from fifteen years ago”
“If I am that weak, I won’t have passed the trainings I went through to become a detective” Craig said.
“I am sure you just got lucky”
“I wasn’t Lucky Grace. My skills brought me here. You want to see what I am capable of doing?” He asked and Grace chuckled.
“Don’t tell me you want to fight with me just so you can show off your weak skills?” Grace asked.
“I am not weak, and I want to prove it to you” He said, and Grace smiled, nodding her head.
“Alright then. Let’s do a combat, and if I win over you, I want you to go back to whenever you came from”
“And if I win, you’re going to accept my gratitude and I am going to court you” He said and Grace chuckles.
“That’s never going to happen Craig, because you won’t be able to win me”
“Let’s see about that, Grace” He said, confidently and Grace smiled.
“Alright, I will tell you when I am ready for the combat and make sure you leave when I win”
“And make sure you allow me court you if I win”
“Fine then” Grace said and shakes hands with Craig before leaving.
“I finally get to see her face to face again, and she’s so beautiful just like fifteen years ago… No, she’s more beautiful now” Craig said. He looked at his hand that Grace shaked and smiled.

≤ ADRIAN’S MANSION ≈ SAME NIGHT ≥
Adrian sadly entered the room and sees Debra sitting on the bed, wearing a transparent nighties.
“What are you doing here?” He asked, and Debra stood up from the bed and hugged him.
“Your mom is here. Have you seen her?” She asked.
“Yes I have. I saw her in the living room” Adrian said, breaking the hug.
“I miss you so much Adrian” She said, trying to kiss him, but Adrian pushed her away.
“If it’s what I am thinking then I am not in the mood” Adrian said.
“Until when we you be in the mood to have s*x with me Adrian? You only have s*x with me when you are drunk” Debra said with a broken heart.
“Because that’s where it started from, right?” Adrian asked, and tears flows down from Debra’s eyes.
“How can you say this to me Adrian? I’m your wife”
“I know that Debra. I got married to you because I wanted to become a responsible father to Isa, and I always try to be a good husband to you because of Isa, so don’t force me to something that I don’t want to” Adrian said.
“Why are you treating me so unfairly Adrian? Is it a crime that I love you?”
“I am not in the mood to answer any of your questions Debra, just get out of this room. I want to be alone” Adrian said.
“You have been acting strange ever since we came to Los Angeles. Is it because of Jane? I know you already met her Adrian. Do you still love her? Do you still love the woman who used and dumb you like you were a piece of trash? Answer me, Adrian!” Debra shouted at him, but Adrian took her hand and pushed her out of the room.
Adrian sat on the bed with a sad look on his face. He went to his phone gallery and tapped on a picture of Jane he took from her Instagram account.
He caressed the picture softly as he allowed his tears to fall down from his eyes.
“Despite what you did to me years ago, I still love you so much Jane. What did you do to me Jane? Why can’t I just forget about you? You are the one who hurt me and yet I am the one still longing for you. Were you telling me the truth when you said you were innocent? Because I don’t understand why I am still helplessly in love with you, Jane” He said, crying.

≤ LA NEWS COMPANY ≈ SAME NIGHT ≥
Julianna came out from the news house after calling it a day. She had her phone in her ear, because she was calling Lucas who wasn’t picking up.
“Is he busy? I wonder why he is not picking up” Julianna muttered, trying to call Lucas again, when some group of her co-workers came out from the building.
“Julianna!” They all called her names at once. They were five in number-Three girls and two guys.
“Oh, are you all set?” She asked.
“Yes we are. It’s your birthday and as the best anchorwoman here, it will be an honor to celebrate it with you” One of the guys said, and Julianna smiled.
“What about your boyfriend? Isn’t he here yet?”
“He will be here soon” Julianna said, trying to cover up for Lucas.
“Are you sure he’s coming? You have few hours before your birthday will be over. Did he by chance forget about your birthday?” One of them asked.
“Of course not. Lucas will never forget about my birthday. He knows today is my birthday, and he told me himself that he is going to treat my coworkers and I on a nice meal” Julianna said.
“So why is he not here, yet?” The girl asked again.
“Maybe he is just stuck with traffic. Los Angeles is a very busy place. I’m sure he is on his way. He loves Julianna so much. Have you forgotten JKL hospital, which happens to be an hospital owned by Lucas was formed with Julianna’s name and his name? You said the K in the middle stands for Karen which is the name of your child once you both are married, right?” Another girl asked, and Julianna faked a smile.
“That’s correct” She said, bitting her bottom lip. Since her coworkers didn’t know the full meaning of JKL, Julianna had to lie to them, and it was easy to believe since her name started with letter J, just like Jane.
“Try calling him again, and see if he is on his way”
Julianna nodded her head and was about calling Lucas, when Lucas called her instead, and she quickly picked up. “Hello Lucas”
“Julie, is everything okay? I just saw your calls” He said in a low voice.
“Why are you speaking in a low pitch? Is everything ok?” She asked, getting worried.
“I am fine Julie. I don’t want to wake Jane up” Lucas said, covering Jane’s body with a duvet. As usual Jane told him everything that transpire between her and Adrian, and if not for Jane’s pleading, he’d have gone to Adrian. But he was planning on dealing with Adrian secretly without Jane knowing.
“Jane?” Julianna asked, trying to hide how hurt she was feeling right now, because her co-workers were looking at her.
“Yeah. I am trying to put her to sleep because she cried so much earlier”
“Did something happen?” Julianna asked, even though she was hurting.
“Yes. Adrian made her cry. All what that jerk does is to make Jane cry, and I can’t leave her in this state. Thankfully no one recorded what transpired between them”
“Aren’t you forgetting something?” She asked.
“Something like what? Do you need anything?” Lucas asked, and Julianna fight back her tears.
“No I don’t. Goodnight” She said, and ended the call.
“Is he coming?” One of her coworkers asked.
“Unfortunately he won’t be able to come. He has an appointment tonight. He needs to commerce surgery on a certain Jane Morgan” Julianna lied.
“But it’s his girlfriend’s birthday today, shouldn’t he put you first before anything?”
“Lucas love me, and just because he loves me doesn’t mean he should leave his business hanging. We can always fix a date to celebrate my birthday” Julianna said and walked away because her eyes were getting wet.

≤ SAME NIGHT ≥
In the outskirt of the city, Rebecca and Debra are seen resting on the side of their car, waiting for someone.
“Who are we waiting for mom? We should be at home, so you’d scold Adrian for chasing me out of the room. My own husband can only have s*x with me when he is drunk” Debra said, bitterly.
“That’s why we are here Debra. It’s all Jane’s fault why he can’t love you, and that’s we’re here to bring down her” Rebecca said.
“How?”
“Before coming to Los Angeles, I looked into the school Jane went to, and I discovered there was a girl in her high school who wanted her dead, and fortunately for me, she’s here in LA”
“Who is she?”
“She’s me” A voice said approaching them, and both Rebecca and Debra looked at her as she walked towards them.
“Who are you?” Debra asked
“My name is Stephanie, and I am one of Jane’s nightmare” She said with a smirk.

≤ LUCAS MANSION ≈ SAME NIGHT ≥
Lucas entered the house and sees his mom seated on the couch, watching TV.
“Mom!” He said, looking surprised to see her.
“Am I a ghost? Why are you so surprised to see me?” She asked.
“Because I was never expecting you” He answered.
“Well since you and Grace have made up your minds not to see me, I decide to visit you. When are you getting married?” Vivian asked, and Lucas sighed.
“Mom, did you come here just to ask me about marriage?”
“What else should I come here for? You’re already thirty two years old and you are not yet married, and for Grace there’s no hope for her when it comes to marriage. You already have a girlfriend, so just get married to her and start your own family. I want grandchildren, why are you and Grace punishing me? You have the money, just get married” Vivian said, and Lucas hugged her.
“Just give me time mom, and I will give you lots and lots of grandchildren” Lucas said, and Vivian smiled, breaking the hug.
“How are you Lucas?” she asked, caressing his face.
“I am fine, Mom” He answered with a smile.
“Shouldn’t you be at Julianna’s place. I wasn’t expecting you home tonight”
“Why should I be at Julianna’s house?”
“It’s her birthday today, don’t tell you forgot about it?”
“Füçk! I totally forgot about it” Lucas said looking at the Patak Phillipe wrist watch he was wearing, and it was already 12:15am, which means Julianna’s birthday was over.
“Mom, I have to go to Julianna’s house” He said and quickly left the house. He entered his car and drove off to Julianna’s house and within a few minutes, he was already at her house, knocking on her door.
Julianna opened the door for him, and in her face lies an angry look. “What are you doing here?” She asked
“Julianna I’m sorry. I am sorry that I forgot about your birthday, Jane was…..”
“It’s always about Jane right? You never forget anything that has to do with her, but when it comes to me, you easily forget. It’s as if I am your second option” Julianna said, crying.
“That’s not true. I’m sorry Julie. I’m going to make it up to you”
“That’s what you always say, Lucas, and I am tired of always been bribe with expensive accessories, cars, and money. If you care about Jane so much, then go ahead and date her instead” Julianna said with a crying voice and locked the door on Lucas’s face.
“Julianna, I am sorry, please open the door” He said, knocking, but Julianna didn’t open the door for him.

≤ NEXT DAY ≈ THE STARS ACADEMY ≥
Kayla came down from the car after her driver dropped her in school, and as she walked in the outside hallway of the school, all eyes fell on her and as usual she was looking extremely beautiful. She was like the goddess of beauty.
Kayla was holding the raincoat Xiaomi gave to her in her hand since it won’t fit in, in her small beautiful green backpack. Green is her favorite color. She was walking on the hallway and at the same flaunting her hair, when she bumped into Xavier, and the raincoat fell from her hand.
“You again! What in the god’s name are you doing here?” She asked, Xavier was about to answer her when eyes met with the raincoat on the floor, and he quickly pick it up. Since he was the one who made it, he can easily identify it’s his.
“Why are you with this?” He asked, and Kayla took the raincoat from him.
“It’s none of your business!”
“That’s mine. I gave it to my twin sister yesterday because she was going out and the weather forecasters said it was going to rain yesterday, but she didn’t come back with it, because she told me she forgot it at her friend’s house and will bring it back today” Xavier said.
“This doesn’t belong to you. It belongs to Xiaomi’s twin brother” Kayla said.
“Xiaomi? How did you know my twin sister’s name?” He asked, and Kayla’s widen.
“Don’t tell me you’re Xiaomi’s brother? Xiaomi and Xavier, that’s a matching name for twins. You’re her twin brother!”
“Yes I am, what the heck are you doing with my raincoat when Xiaomi told me she forgot it at her friend’s house”
“So this belong to you? I can’t believe I took proper care of my enemy’s raincoat” Kayla said and threw the raincoat on the ground, and she began matching it with her feet.
“What the heck are you doing? I spent days making that!” Xavier said and pushed Kayla away from his raincoat and Kayla fell to the ground.
Xavier picked up his raincoat, and just when he was dusting off the dust, some guys approach him. They were all crushing on Kayla.
“Is he harassing you, Kayla?” They asked and Kayla smirked standing up to her feet.
“Yes he is. I don’t know how he became a student here, but put him in his right place” Kayla said, and walked away, while the guys hijacked Xavier.
“What are you all doing, put me down!!” He shouted as he was being taken away by the boys.
Kayla walked towards her class block dusting off her body, feeling irritated that she worn Xavier’s raincoat yesterday, and Isa approach her with a bright smile.
“Hi Kayla! I’m so happy to meet you. My name is Isa and I am a huge….”
“Just shut up and get lost” Kayla said, and walked away flaunting her hair, and Isa became extremely sad. This wasn’t what she was expecting from Kayla Meyers.
