“Kid, are you alright? Are you by chance injured?” He asked worriedly.
Kayla looked at him, and a smile crept up on her face after she saw Adrian.
“Are you alright?” Adrian asked again, and Kayla nodded her head.
“Yes I am fine”
“You should be careful kid, I’d have ran over you if I wasn’t being careful” Adrian said, helping her stand to her feet.
“Sorry about that sir. I was lost in thought that’s why. I am actually a conscious person” Kayla said and Adrian smiled, and that’s when he noticed the slight bruise on her knee.
“Come with me” He said, holding her hand.
“Where are we going?” She asked, standing glue to the ground.
“I’m not a bad person kid, I just want to help you out, you sustain a bruise on your knee” Adrian said, and Kayla looked at her left knee before following Adrian.

Kayla kept smiling as Adrian applied plastic bandage on her knee. They were outside a pharmacy. “You keep smiling at me, does my face look funny to you?” Adrian asked looking at her, and Kayla giggles.
“Of course not. It’s just that I had always thought that my dad was the most handsome man in the world, but here is another handsome man in front of me, but don’t feel high of yourself, my dad will forever be the most handsome man in the world” Kayla said, and Adrian laughed.
“Really?” He asked with a smile.
“Yes, but you are also handsome too” Kayla said giving him a high thumbs up.
“You are a very lively kid”
“I know, people say that a lot”
“Nice one, kid” He said patting her hair and Kayla smile.
“My name is Kayla” She said, smiling.
“Kayla?” Adrian asked, and Kayla nodded her head.
“Wait. I think I have seen your picture somewhere before” Adrian said, looking at Kayla closely.
“I am ambassador of Dior brands here in Los Angeles, you must have seen my picture in one of their magazines”
“No. Now I remember, my daughter is a huge fan of yours. She talks about you a lot”
“Really?” Kayla asked, smiling.
“Yeah. She once told me that you are her idol, she goes to The Star Academy, because you’re a student there”
“Wow! What’s your daughter’s name?” She asked.
“Isadora, but we call her Isa”
“Is she the same girl I snubbed earlier today at school?” Kayla muffled.
“Huh?”
“Nothing. Can I take a look at your daughter’s picture? Just in case I see her in school” Kayla said.
“Sure” Adrian said, bringing out his phone from the coat of his suit. He was actually coming from a conference meeting. There was no need searching for Isa’s picture, because he used her picture as his wallpaper. He loves Isa so much, and it’s because of his daughter he is trying to live in peace with Debra.
Kayla looked at Isa’s picture and took in her lips, realizing she’s the same girl she spoke rudely to, earlier at school.
“I do hope you become friends with her Kayla. She’s a very quiet person, and also an introvert, but if you get closer to her, you’d see she’s lively in her own way” Adrian said.
“You love your daughter so much, right?” Kayla asked and Adrian smiled.
“Of course I do. No dad in this world will h@të their daughter regardless of how she was born. Your dad also loves you too, right?” Adrian asked.
Kayla took in her lips. She doesn’t know what her real dad looks like, talk more of knowing if he loves her, but she didn’t care anyway since she h@tës him for abandoning her mom. Lucas is the only one she recognized as her father, and it will forever be that way.
“Kayla” Adrian called her name and she smiled at him.
“Of course my dad loves me so much. He puts my mom and I first before anything, and I will forever be grateful to God for giving me a dad like him” Kayla said and Adrian smiled.
“One of these days if you won’t mind, can I take you and Isa out for lunch? Isa is really going to love it” Adrian said.
“I don’t mind. I am going to try my best to be friends with her. What’s your name?” She asked.
“Adrian”
“Adrian. It suits you perfectly” Kayla said, smiling. She doesn’t know her dad’s real name, because she didn’t bother to ask Jane and Lucas.
“Thanks Kayla. It’s nice talking to you, now I see why Isa likes you a lot. You’re kind”
“I am not a kind person, Mr. Adrian. I’m a rude jerk”
“You can change your ways if you want to, Kayla. No one is born arrogant” He said, and Kayla smiled, but all a sudden, she gasped.
“What’s wrong?” Adrian asked.
“My mom is going to be mad at me, I told her I’d be home in thirty minutes. She’s going to be cooked up with worries” Kayla said checking her phone, and she saw ten missed calls from Jane. Her phone was on silent, so she didn’t hear it ring, and beside she was so engrossed in the conversation she was having with Adrian.
“Don’t panic, Kayla. I will take you home and explain everything to your mom” Adrian said.
“Thanks, Mr. Adrian” Kayla said.
Both were about entering the car, when Adrian got a call from Isa. “Hello Isa”
“Dad” She said, crying.
“What’s wrong Isa? Why are you crying?” He asked, getting worried.
“Dad, come home I want to talk to you. I can’t talk to mom and grandma about what I am going through, because they’re going to scold me for crying over something stupid. You’re the only one who can console me” Isa said, crying.
“Stop crying, Isa. Daddy will be there soon, okay” He said and ended the call.
“Is Isa okay?” Kayla asked.
“I don’t know Kayla. She was crying, saying I should come back home” Adrian said.
“Then go to her, Mr. Adrian”
“Are you sure? What about your mom?”
“I can talk to her, your daughter needs you more than I do” Kayla said and Adrian smiled.
“Thanks Kayla. I hoped to see you again”
“Same here, Mr. Adrian”
Adrian smiled at her one last time, he entered his car and drove off.

≤ JANE’S MANSION ≥
Jane’s voice could loudly be heard as she scolded Kayla, she was so worried about her.
“I am sorry mom”
“Sorry? I almost had a heart attack thinking that something bad has happened to you! Am I giving you too much privilege to do wh@tëver you like? Do you want to be grounded from going out?” Jane asked.
“Don’t do that to me Mom. I’d have come home on time, I was almost ran over by a car” She said and Jane quickly rushed to her.
“Are you alright?” She asked worriedly, checking her whole body.
“I’m fine mom. Mr. Adrian didn’t ran over me, he was a careful driver”
“Adrian?” Jane asked with widen eyes.
“Yes mom. Do you know him?” Kayla asked.
“I’m not sure. They are many people answering Adrian in this world. But you should be careful Kayla. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you”
“I will be careful mom. It’s just a slight bruise on my knee, but I will be fine” Kayla said, and Jane hugged her.
“I love you so much, Kayla”
“I love you too mom. Mom, what kind of girl were you when you were young? I mean when you were my age” Kayla asked and Jane broke the hug.
“I was still blind when I was fifteen years old, but I was friendly to people around me. People considered me as a kind blind girl. Why do you ask kayla?” Jane asked and Kayla smiled.
“I just wanted to know. I will be in my room” She said and leaves.
“She met Adrian. I hope she didn’t met the Adrian I know. He can’t know about our child” Jane said, licking her lower lip.

≤ ADRIAN’S MANSION ≥
Adrian quickly entered Isa’s room after he arrived home, and he saw her sitting on the bed crying. “Isa. What’s wrong?” He asked, sitting beside her.
“Dad” She called him, hugging him.
“I am here for you, Isa. What happened?”
“I don’t want to talk about it anymore, now that you’re here, I feel alive again” She said, hugging him tightly.
“It’s okay Isa. Daddy is here now” He said, kissing her forehead and at the same time, patting her.

≤ JULIANNA’S CONDO ≈ SAME NIGHT ≥
“What do you want?” Julianna asked, Lucas when he came to see her.
“I just want to check up on you” Lucas said.
“I’m fine. So go home, Lucas” She said trying to close the door, but Lucas prevented her from closing it.
“Julie I am sorry. I thought Jane already talked to you about this?”
“Yes she did. But that doesn’t mean I am not mad at you” Julianna said.
“I am sorry Julie. It’s never going to happen again”
“I have heard that words more than a billion times, Lucas, but you never keep to your promise”
“This time around, I am going to keep to my promise. Rodolfo already said he’d cut of my hands if I make you cry”
“Is that why you are trying to keep to your promise, because you’re afraid of what he might do to you?”
“Of course not. I also want to make it up to you” Lucas said.
“Do you love me?” Julianna asked, and Lucas looked at her.
“I do, Julie” Lucas said.
“I love you Lucas. The heavens know that I love you so much, such that I can’t help but long for you even if you hurt me thousands of times. I won’t be surprised if I love you more than how you love me” Julianna said, blinking back her tears.
“Julie”
“It true Lucas, I know I am the one who loves you more, but I am ready to accept it, because I truly love you Lucas, and I won’t mind giving up my own life for you. All I want from you is just a little love from you, I am not asking for much” She said, crying.
Lucas walked closer to her and hugged her. “I’m sorry Julie. I will be a good boyfriend to you from now on. I’m sorry if I hurt you, I am so sorry Julie”
Julianna cried silently before hugging him back. Lucas broke the hug and kissed her, sweetly.

≤ CITY JAIL OF LOS ANGELES ≈ NEXT DAY ≥
Everyone gathered at the field, ready to watch Grace and Craig involve themselves in a combat. They were in the center.
Does he have a death wish? He wants to fight with Grace who is a descendant of the Jackie Chan family?
I have no doubt that he is going to lose
I’d back out if I was him. She’s not someone to joke with when it comes to fighting.
Grace smirked as the other detectives compliment her, and she faced Craig. “You still have a chance to back out”
“I don’t want to back out, because I want to show you how strong I have become, and because I also want to court you” He said and winked at her, while Grace chuckled.
The whistle was blow by Kathryn and the combat between Grace and Craig began, with everyone watching with curiosity. Grace kicked Craig and he fell to the ground, making Grace to have 1 point.
Grace smirked and knotted her fists ready to fight. Craig stood up from the ground and resume fighting. They were both avoiding their punches and kicks, until Craig gave her a smackdown and she fell. Craig had 1 point making it a win-win battle for them.
Grace grunt and resumed fighting with Craig. It was just a minute left before the combat will end, so she tried to flip Craig over her shoulder, but Craig overpowered her and took her down. She tries to stand up but fell back to the ground.
Kathryn blow the whistle and said. “Craig won in the combat”
Wow! Unbelievable
Craig won over the almighty Grace. He should be among Guinness book of record
He’s not dressed as a baddie for nothing
Craig ignored their compliment and squat beside Grace. “Are you okay?” He asked, but Grace pushed him away, before walking out of the field.

≤ GOLDEN WINE AND LIQUOR COMPANY ≥
Beatrice entered Ethan’s office to clean his office, and surprisedly she met him sitted on in chair, proofreading about something. It’s been a while since he came to the company, just like Brenda has said, he only comes to the company once in a blue moon.
“Good morning boss Ethan” She greeted.
“Morning, Beatrice” He replied with his pen in his mouth. It’s obvious he was solving a hard puzzle. Beatrice looked at him, and didn’t want to ask, but she didn’t know what push her to ask.
“Is everything okay, boss Ethan?” She expected him to get mad, but fortunately for her, he didn’t. He wasn’t the mean kind of boss.
“I am in a difficult situation, Beatrice. Even manager Jo can’t come with an idea” Ethan said.
“What kind of situation?” She asked.
“One of our biggest client wants us to make liquor at his party”
“That’s nice” She said with a smile.
“I know, but he wants liquor made out from rice at his party, and that’s where the problem comes in Beatrice, no one can make liquors made out from rice”
“You mean Shaosingjiu?”
“What does that mean?” He asked and Beatrice smiled.
“Shaosingjiu means rice wine in Chinese. My mom is from china while my dad is from American. Since I basically lost my dad at a young age, I grew up in china with my mom, and she sells rice wine for a living back then, but she already stopped”
“Does that mean you know how to make rice wine?” Ethan asked.
“It’s not like I am bragging about it, but I perfect when it comes to making rice wine. You just need rice and a wine yeast balls. I can help you if you won’t mind” She said.
Ethan stood up and walked closer to her. “Thank you so much Beatrice. You just saved me from losing a big client” He said, hugging her and Beatrice smiled.

≤ THE STARS ACADEMY ≥
“Who are you waiting for Kayla? We should go home already” Kayla’s driver said to her. It was closing period already and students were going home. Isa didn’t come to school today, because she was still sad about Kayla snubbing her.
“Just be patient, I want to talk to someone. I couldn’t do it during class” Kayla said, and then she sees Xavier and Xiaomi approaching her. They have already resolved their differences.
Kayla sighed before walking up to them. “Xavier” She said.
“What do you want? Do you want to have him beaten up again?” Xiaomi asked.
“Of course not” Kayla said.
“So why are you here, then?” Xavier asked.
“I just wanted to say sorry”
“Wow! I didn’t know you can apologize” Xavier said and Xiaomi smiled.
“I won’t have been mean to you if you didn’t steal my phone”
“I already told you a thousand times that I didn’t steal it” Xavier said.
“Even if I don’t believe you, I am sorry for what I did yesterday. I shouldn’t have done that. That’s all I want to say” Kayla said and entered the car, and her driver droved out of the school premises. Xavier looked at the car and smiled.
“Did you just smile?” Xiaomi asked.
“She looked cute when she said sorry”
“Yesterday she was a witch and today she’s cute. Wow! When is the wedding?” Xiaomi asked jokingly.
“Are you high?” He asked with a serious face, and Xiaomi laughed. “Since you are my twin brother, I won’t mind being her chief bride’s maid. Xavier + Kayla = Kavier”
Xavier tries hitting Xiaomi, but she screamed and took to her heels, and Xavier went after her.

≤ NIGHT ≥
Jane pulled her car into a halt when she arrived at the location she was supposed to meet her new client, who needed a dress. She came down from the car, and looked around. It was quiet and kind of bushy. “While would she suggest I come here?” She muttered trying to call her new client, but the footsteps of someone made her stop. She looked at her left and a man approach her.
“Jane Meyers”
“I was supposed to meet up with a lady, why are you here?” She asked, even though she don’t know him.
“I guess your passion for designs and money has brought you to your doom” The man said.
“What the heck are you talking about?” Jane asked, and before she knew what was going, some group of men got hold of her.
“What are you all doing? Let go of me!” She shouted, trying to break fre from them.
“It’s been long you had s*x, right? How about I bring back that feeling” The man said, tearing the gown she was wearing, and Jane screamed out her lungs.
