“Get up, Ferd. Your babies are starving” Valerie pats her stomach with her hand.
Fernando made a mental eye roll before getting to his feet. He turned to his subjects with a glare on his face.
“What are you staring at? Get lost!” He half yells.
They scurried away not without giggling amongst themselves.
“C’mon, let’s go” she held his arm and smiled sweetly at him.
Fernando glanced at her and the anger in him flew out of him instantly. How could he even get angry at her?
“Okay” he muttered and they both went to the kitchen.
Fernando ordered the maids to excuse them leaving he and Valerie alone in the kitchen.
Valerie sat on a stool and yawned softly.
“Can you make me a hot water first, I’m kinda thirsty” she said.
Fernando nodded. He took a pot, after filling the pot with water, he placed it on the gas before switching it on.
Even though he doesn’t even know how to boil water, he’s still gonna try his best.
He looked around the kitchen, his eyes sighted the sugar bottle and he smiled satisfactorily.
“Just what I needed” he mumbled to himself.
He picked the sugar bottle and poured a large quantity of it into the water.
“It will make the water sweet, I bet she’s gonna enjoy it” the thought of Valerie praising him filled his head and he couldn’t even grow more happier.
“Ferdie, I’m thirsty” Valerie sang.
“In a bit!” He yelled.
When the water was hot enough, he poured it inside a cup and handed it to her.
“You can cook the food now” Valerie said. She brought the cup to her mouth and blew some air into it. She placed the cup in her mouth, she hasn’t even swallowed the water when she spilled everything away.
“Füçk! What’s this?!” She yells.
“Water of course” Fernando replied proudly as he prepared himself to make some food for her.
“This is poison! Do you wanna kill me?” Valerie shouted with wide eyes.
“Kitten, is the water that good that you have to exaggerate this much?”
“Can you just stop talking?” She snapped angrily.
“Is something wrong with the water?” He asked, finally facing her.
“Did you added sugar to it?” She asked slowly.
“Yea?”
Valerie almost fainted. He did what? Who the hell adds sugar to a water?
“I know you love something sweet, so I did that for you” he smiled.
She placed her hand on her forehead with a groan.
“You know what, I lost my appetite” she stood up from the stool.
“Why? You aren’t hungry again?”
“You want me to die?” She asked back.
“Gosh, you’re so annoying” she blew air from her mouth before leaving the kitchen.
“What’s wrong with her?” He looked over at the cup, after much contemplations, he walked to the table and picked the cup.
He drank a little out of it and spat it out immediately.
“What the Füçk! Did I made this?” He asks himself.

CHLOE’S ROOM***
“I’m going out for a walk” Chloe announced as she put on her earrings.
“Okay” Ivy said.
“Is that why you’re dressing up?” Anna asked as she accessed her dressing.
“Yea, maybe I can find my prince charming…. Who knows?” Chloe shrugs.
“What is that supposed to mean?” Ivy asked, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
“What do you think?” Chloe winks. She picks her bag and flung it on her shoulder.
“Bye,I’m off!” She waves before going out of the room.
“Wait… What’s suddenly gotten into her?” Anna wondered aloud.
“Is she finally over with the Boss?” Ivy wondered too.
“I’ll be glad if that can happen” Anna mumbled.
“Same here” Ivy agreed.

Chloe was walking around the clan when she saw Valerie not faraway from her. She smiled before walking to her.
“Hi” she said when she got to her.
Valerie rolled her eyes inwardly.
“What do you want? I’m obviously in a bad mood right now” she said.
“Congratulations” Chloe smiled.
“For?”
“Your baby. I know you and Fernando are expecting a baby”
“Oh… That means you have to back off, Ferdie is mine and mine alone”
Chloe chuckled.
“I already did. You won this time around but trust me, I still h@të you… So very much” She said.
“And I do more than you” Valerie said.
“Cool. Have a nice day” Chloe said and left.
“What has suddenly gotten into her? Already acting like a witch” Valerie muttered to herself.
Her stomach grumbled and she groaned angrily.
“d@mn you Fernando!” She cussed, rubbing her stomach repeatedly.
She decided to go to Camila and see if she can see anything to eat from her.

NEXT DAY***
“What do you mean by you’re traveling?” Valerie said when Don announced about his journey.
“It’s the right thing. I need a break from all this and I need to have a time alone for myself” Don said.
Valerie shook her head.
“No, I don’t care. I’m not allowing you to leave. We just got back together just recently and now you’re planning on leaving me just like you did twelve years ago?”
“I didn’t leave you, Lola, I…” Don tried to say but she cuts him off angrily.
“You did! You married another woman not long after mom died! You left me in their hands not caring if they were going to treat me well or not. You abandon me, Dad”
Fernando placed his hand on her shoulder and squeeze it lightly.
“I didn’t married Della, we were never married. She’s just a nanny” Don defended.
“I made you believe we were married so you’ll have someone to take as your mom, someone who would give you the motherly love you’re being deprived of. I didn’t know things were gonna end this way, believe me”
“Della is just a nanny?” Valerie asked in shock.
“Yes, trust me. I love your mom so much, I can never do anything to hurt her” Don said.
“Wh@tëver. I’m still standing on my ground, you aren’t leaving, period!” She left the room in anger.
“You have to take it easy, Dad. Try and understand it’s her pregnancy hormones that’s making her to act this way. Trust me, I’m going through hell already when she hasn’t even gotten anywhere” Fernando said.
Don chuckled. Of course he could testify to that, he remembered when Maria was pregnant with Valerie then. He had to wake up in the midnight just because she wants him to find the remote cos she’s going to watch a movie the next day.
“I understand. But you have no right to complain, if you hadn’t gotten her pregnant, this wouldn’t be happening”
“Yea, yea, I know. I should follow her, I’ll try and talk to her so she can understand your reasons” Fernando said
“Okay, thanks Nando”
Fernando smiled before leaving the room also. He got outside and met Valerie sitting somewhere under a shade, he sighs deeply before going to her.
“Are you mad at him?” He asked as he joined her.
“Very” Valerie muttered.
“He’s doing the best for you”
“And I don’t like it” she said almost immediately.
“Infact, I h@të it. How could he just say he’s leaving like that? I finally found my dad after twelve long years and now he wants to leave again? Does he even love me at all? Does he take me as his daughter?”
“You should know he do, stop talking this way. He needs a break, don’t you think? He lost his wife which is your mom and he lost his best friend which is my Dad. After fourteen years, he finally got his revenge, don’t you think he deserves to take a rest? I know you’re hurt but he’s more hurt too, losing someone you love isn’t easy at all. I almost died in Arturo’s hand when I was a little boy, I h@tëd my life then. But, I kept struggling to live hoping to take revenge for my parents death. That’s the same thing for Don, try and understand him, Val”
“But…. I’ll miss him. I’ll miss my Dad” Valerie said. She’s at the brink of tears already.
“I know, we can always visit him whenever we like, huh?”
Valerie nodded slowly.
“That’s my girl. Come here and give Daddy a hug” he spread his arms.
Valerie slapped his shoulder and they both laughed.
“Now, you have to go in and tell him you love him. You understand what that means?”
“Hmm”
“Good” they smiled at each other.
