Chapter 19★20
Cinderella ends the call and enters the class.
She saw Aaron sitting on her seat.
“What are you doing here?” Cinderella asked
“Why are you talking as if we are strangers?” Aaron asked
“Oh! So you know we aren’t strangers now. You better stand up right now.
“I’m really not in the mood, “Cinderella said.
“Have you eaten?” Aaron asked
“It’s not your business; stand up from my seat, and for your information, I wasn’t surprised by your attitude, which is not new to me since this isn’t the first time you are behaving like you own the whole world.
“You always make me remember when you were still in the orphanage; you were better than this, but since you got a new parent, you always think highly of yourself,”Cinderella said.
“Stop it, “Aaron said, getting angry.
“You can behave any way you like, but don’t you dare behave like an airhead to me, and you actually want me to ignore you, right?
“So that other students won’t be thinking about how you know this poor girl, “Cinderella said.
“Can you stop this? Why are you talking like you know everything?” Aaron shouted, making all the students stop what they were doing.
“I’m done having this conversation with you, “Cinderella said, storming out.
“When she got to the school garden, she sat down on the chair that was there.
“Who did he think he was?” Cinderella said
“What did he mean by I’m acting like I know everything? Is he hiding something from me?
“Did I hurt him with my words? Gosh, I should have controlled my temper.
“Cinderella, what have you done?”What would he think of you?”Cinderella said
“Are you that lonely that you are talking to yourself?” Jaxton asked
“Good morning,Cinderella said, and she stood up immediately. She saw Jaxton.
“Seat down. I don’t bite. Why do you always get scared whenever you see me?” Jaxton asked
“I’m not scared.” Cinderella said, and she took her seat.
“How have you been?” Jaxton asked
“What sort of question is that?””Didn’t we see yesterday?” Cinderella thought not answering his questions.
“What are you thinking?” Jaxton asked
“Nothing,” Cinderella said, faking a smile.
“I have been good, “Cinderella said.
“So you heard that? I thought you didn’t, “Jaxton said.
“You locked Theo up the other day, “Jaxton said
“No!! Cinderella said, stuttering. She stutters whenever she is lying.
“You don’t have to get scared; I won’t do anything. I just want to tell you that I like the fact that you aren’t like others.” Jaxton said
“Like others?” Cinderella asked
“Yes! They all pretend to be okay with wh@tëver we do to them when, deep down, they hope they can stand up against us,”Jaxton said.
“So you know about the fact that they don’t like it, “Cinderella said.
“I’m part of R4, but that doesn’t mean I’m also a bully. Not all of us are bullies.” Jaxton said and stood up.
“Where are the others?” Cinderella asked
“They are in class; I’m also going now; why don’t you join?” Jaxton asked
“I will come later. You can go. I want to cool my brain.
“When I feel better, I will come, “Cinderella said.
“Okay! Jaxton said and left.
“This is the perfect time since all of them are in class.” Cinderella thought and stood up.
She headed towards the R4 penthouse when she saw that Jaxton had left.
When she got there,she saw the door locked.
She removed the pin from her hair and used it to open it, and lucky for her, it opened.
She closed the door and started checking for the pictures from the seating room when she didn’t see them.
She heads towards Cole’s room. She checked all his drawers for Christabel’s picture.
“Gosh! I don’t think they have any pictures. Cinderella thought
“I can’t just assume; I just checked one room out of four, “Cinderella said.
As she was heading out, her eyes caught something.
She turned back to it very well; it’s a picture of a girl and the R4 when they were little.
“I have seen this picture somewhere, Cinderella thought, touching the picture.
As she was trying to recall where she had seen it, a sharp pain struck her on the head.
“Maybe it’s just my imagination, “she said, walking out of Cole’s room.
She entered Cyrus’s room, which is still the same. The only picture she saw was the same picture she saw in Cole’s room.
“I hope I’m not stressing myself over this.” Cinderella thought as she entered Jaxton’s room.
When she got there, the first things she saw were his sketchbook and some sketched pictures that were hanging on the wall.
“He loves art a lot,”Cinderella thought as she took the sketching book.
She was about to open it when she heard the door crack.
She dropped it and hid herself.
“How come the door was opened? I remember that we locked it before we went out, “Theo said as he entered his room.
He took his phone, which he forgot. He walked out of his room.
“Is Jaxton inside?”Could he be the one that opens the door?”Theo thought and entered Jaxton inside.
“He isn’t inside, “Theo said, walked out, and locked the door.
He walked out of the penthouse and locked the main door as well.
Cinderella came out of hiding. She ran towards the door and tried to open it.
“I’m doomed. What will I tell them that I’m doing here? Gosh, this isn’t happening, right?” She said as she was trying to open it.
She gave up after she tried her best. She brought out her phone and put in a call through Fiona.
She explained everything to her except the fact that she was searching for Christabel’s picture.
“Okay! Hold on a little, I will be there.”Fiona said.
Everyone went out of the class since the class was over.
“Did anyone of you go to the penthouse?” Theo asked other
“No! We locked it before coming here. Why did you ask?”Cyrus asked
“I will be right back, Theo said, running towards the penthouse.
