CHAPTER 13
Noticing that her friends didn’t react she sighed deeply in her heart and cursed the person in her mind.
Kiara nervously looked at her friends but they were still looking so calm and indifferent with the scene right in front of them.
” All the students are advised to leave the school now till the crime scene is well investigated ” said the voice from the speaker
The students silently walked out of the hall as they were still confused about the whole thing. Who on earth will murder someone like that ?
Kiara continued staring at the dead body, it was definitely not an accident but a cold blooded murder, the victim face was badly scratched this means that this wasn’t the work of a human but a creature.
Kiara was drag out of the school by Levi as they walked further away from the school ” They are already here, we need to act fast or it will be too late ” Levi said seriously bringing out his phone and texting someone before putting it back in his pocket.
They walked through the quiet street, when Kiara suddenly stop as she saw something that ran into the woods quickly, she quickly followed without thinking twice.
” Kiara, wait where are you going ?” Tracy called out but Kiara was Still running and they had no option than to follow her too.
Kiara was running fast in other to catch up with he thing she was chasing, she was not sure but she knows wh@tëver that thing is it’s dangerous.
She ran into the forest bit found no on, she lost it ” Fuçk ” she cursed, when her friends arrived and glare at her ” why were you running ?” They chorused.
“Shhh” Kiara uttered as she brought out a gun ” Kiara my goodness what are you doing with a gun ?”lily asked but all she got was ” Shh” Kiara walked slowly and her friends followed behind.
They could hear nois s and they became alert, Kiara followed the trial of blood on the leaves and hide behind a small bush.
There it was another creature, gaunt to the point to emaciation, it’s discarded skin pulled tightly over it’s bones with it’s bones pushing out against it’s skin. It’s complexion was ash-grey of death and it’s eyes pushed back deep into its socket. It looked like a gaunt skeleton recently disinterred from the grave ( Demonic half beast ) body odour that Kiara and her friends had to cover their nose.
Horns sprouting on its head, it’s eyes were glowing like hot coals, sharp pointy teeth.
It was feeding on a human, it was merciless, Kiara loaded her gun with silver bullets as she ain for it’s heart but the creature didn’t stay still.
* Bang *
Kiara shot the creature on its chest but it just made it angrier, the creature looked towards the direction of the gunshots and charged towards them in full speed.
Kiara continued shooting the creature but it’s speed only increased ” We will try to hold it ” Antonio said as they ran towards the creature direction.
Kiara has heard stories about creatures like this, she watched her friends attacked the creature as she tried to make some fire.
” Allow me “Levi said as his eyes turned red and immediately the leaves catch fire, Kiara picked an arrow from her back and put it on the fire.
“I hope this works ” Kiara said under her breath as she ain for the werewolves, it was really fast and stronger than the werewolves.
The creature razor blaze claws rip lily’s back and throw her away, bats appeared from nowhere and attacked the creature This gave Kiara the opportunity to attack.
The arrow hit the creature and it fell down but got up and ran away ” lily, are you okay ?” Tracy asked as she turned to her human form and the others did the same.
Lily was bleeding but the wound was healing slowly
*Crack*
They heard a branch or was it a wood that broke ” Some people are coming ” Levi said as he looked at the other ” I didn’t hear anything” Kiara pointed out and Luke carried lily .
” We need to leave they are getting closer ” Antonio said as he pulled Kiara along. They ran through the forest really fast, if anyone sees them, they will be asked a lot of questions.
” I thought the gunshots came from here ” Derek said as he looked around ” Boss ,look there ” a team member said in shock.
A dead body was laying in it’s pool of blood his limbs were separated from it’s body and the head was no where to be found, Derek couldn’t help but throw up ” this is disgusting what happened here ?”
He asked but got no answer.
” Some creatures or animal did this and I’m going to find them ” Derek said as he looked at the dead body.
Someone watched them from behind a tree with a smile before they disappeared into thin air.
” Kiara,what were you doing with a gun in the first place ?” Oscar sked as they sat on the sofa ” that’s not important right now at least I was prepared for the worst ” Kiara replied.
” That thing is strong, I ain’t gonna lie ” Antonio said as he closed his eyes, lily on the other hand has already healed and had gone to change with Luke behind.
” If that thing is strong during the day that means it’s will be worst at night ” Levi said ” You’re right Levi ” Kiara said quickly.
They shared their thoughts about the creature while waiting for Luke and Lily “What’s taking them so long ?” Antonio groaned as he stared at Oscar.
” They are a couple what do you expect ?” Oscar asked and Antonio rolled his eyes ” Wait they are dating, since when ?” Kiara asked confused.
“Well they are childhood sweethearts ” Tracy replied and Kiara laughed ” I’ll check on them ” Kiara said standing up.
” Suit yourself ” They chorused and Kiara laughed as she walked away ” Is it me or is Kiara getting hot ?” Levi asked and everyone glare at him.
” Seriously, that’s what you were bothered about ?” Tracy asked as she didn’t expect more from Antonio but Levi really surprised her a lot.
” I thought I was the only one seeing it ” Antonio said as Oscar hissed in annoyance ” Can you both be serious ?” Oscar asked coldly.
Kiara walked towards the guest room and Opened the door without knocking ” lily what’s taking y-” Kiara paused as she immediately closed her eyes and turn around.
“I didn’t see anything I swear ” Kiara said quickly as she stepped out ” Take your time,hehe ” Kiara added as she ran out .
“What happened and why are you running ?” Levi asked and Kiara face turn red ” it’s…..hmmm nothing” Kiara said and Levi grin ” Nothing is making you blush, so tell me what happened or did you see something ?” Levi asked.
* Cough *
Luke interrupt them “let’s go everyone must be waiting” luke said as he dragged Levi out and Kiara looked at Lily but didn’t say anything.
” Finally I thought you-all were throwing a party in the room ” Oscar said and Antonio chuckled ” seems like some people were busy, I won’t call them but I’m sure it’s like and Lily ” Antonio added and Lily blushed.
“This is so embarrassing ” lily whispered and Tracy nodded ” This isn’t the first time, so don’t be shy ” Antonio added teasingly.
*Ding Dong *
The bell rand and they exchanged looks ” where you expecting someone ?” Oscar asked and Kiara shaked her head. ” I’ll get it ” Levi said before he disappeared.
” Nice powers am jealous ” Tracy said and Kiara chuckled. Levi opened the door and found Derek and his team members ” can I help you ?” Levi asked
” How about we come in ?” Derek asked instead and Levi frown. The moment they heard Derek’s voice, they knew what he was her for and frowned.
” Lily go and burn your bloody clothes ” Antonio ordered ” Yes alpha” lily response as she walked away ” that wasn’t an answer ” Levi pointed out.
Derek stared at Levi but he didn’t move a bit ” It’s snowing please can we come in .” Derek asked and Levi looked outside ” it’s not that cold you can survive ” Levi said.
” We need shelter one of my team members is sick ” Derek pointed out and they nodded ” You should get going and take him to the hospital as soon as possible” Levi pointed out.
Derek frowned as he knows levi was playing hard to get and that annoys him ” Are you hiding something ?” Derek asked and Levi smiled.
” Do you have a motive of coming here ?” Levi asked instead and Derek hissed in annoyance ” Come in ” Kiara said from behind surprising everyone.
