{Nowhere To Escape}
The red Lamborghini hit Janet badly, but
instead of her to fly away, the car went flying
into the air instead, somersaulting multiple
times.
She had a really strong body for an android, so
she was barely affected. She just stood there
and watched the car fly.
The car stopped somersaulting and landed on
the ground with a heavy noise. It was terribly
damaged.
Someone groaned immediately and crawled out
of the car, who happened to be no other than
Rocky. He held his arm which was bleeding
profusely and looked up to see Janet in front of
him.
Rocky did all his best to stand up, then he used
the energy left in him to walk to her.
Both stared into each other’s eyes intently
without saying a word. It was a really awkward
way for them to meet.
” J… Janet.” Rocky muttered, trying to bear the
pains his bleeding arm gave him.
” I feel awful, Rocky Salvador.” Janet said to
him, and his face turned sorry as well.
” I’m so sorry I hit you with my car, Janet. I’m so
sorry for everything I’ve ever done to you. After
the moment I said all those things to you… I
realized that I was wrong for everything I said to
you. I was jealous, I was an @$$hOle, and I had a
hole in my heart as well, which made me
transfer all my suffering to you. I drove all the
way here just trying to find your house so that I
could apologize. I’m so sorry.” Rocky apologized
sincerely, with tears even rolling down his eyes.
This was the first time that he’d apologize to
any person, and it felt life-changing for him.
The tears on her face had disappeared. She felt
the desperate urge to hold him by the shoulders,
and she did just that, coming closer to his face.
” Help me get rid of it, Rocky Salvador. Wh@tëver
you did to me is eating me up internally, and it’s
really discomforting. My whole body feels dead,
like I’m not myself again. Please fix me, and
undo the effects your words had on me.” She
begged desperately.
The air blew cold around them, making the
scene more intense than before.
Rocky began to stare at her differently. For the
first time in his life, he noticed how beautiful
she was, how attractive, mesmerizing and
insanely pretty her face was. How come he was
just noticed all this?
He got hypnotized by her beauty, and stared
down senselessly at her lips. He totally forgot
about the injury he had on his arm completely.
Rocky slowly reeled himself into her face and
closed his eyes in the process. He opened his
mouth and captured her lips in the most gentle
kiss ever, kissing her really passionately.
Janet stared at his face blankly. She started to
feel some changes in her body once he kissed
her that she also had to close her eyes.
Her system revived back to life, and her pale
skin turned normal. Her eyes also turned bright
blue again and she started functioning
perfectly. Her android side was back again.
She felt a different air of passion around Rocky
as he continued to kiss her. Her eyes even
turned red within their sockets as their lips kept
on kissing affectionately.
She suddenly opened her eyes when she felt a
presence around, and she wasn’t wrong. Her
eyes met with Brayden who was standing far
across the road, watching them both kiss.
Rocky slowly began to realize what he was
doing, and his eyes snapped open with shock
as he separated from Janet immediately. He
touched his lips not believing that he just kissed
Janet, the girl he h@tëd and despised his whole
life.
He saw her staring at something behind him,
and he immediately turned back to see Brayden
too. His eyes widened bigger than before.
The kiss was never meant to happen, it was a
terrible mistake he made.
Brayden just stood there without any
expressions at all. He simply turned away and
walked off, making Rocky feel devastated. He
totally ruined their relationship.
He turned to Janet, whose eyes were still
glowing red. She also turned away from him
and walked away, leaving him on the road on
his own.
He brushed his fingers into his hair in
frustration. He really messed up tonight. He
messed up, biggest time.
” Janet, wait!” He quickly shouted and ran after
her.
♣NEXT DAY ∞ UMA♣
It was time for the school play rehearsal. All the
students were present in the acting class
already, except for Brayden and Rocky.
Rocky stared at Janet without her knowledge,
feeling terrible for yesterday’s accidental kiss.
He already had his injured arm bandaged, but
he left his red Lamborghini on the road for good
since it was useless.
Cleo and Mario were standing right next to each
other, but both were ignoring themselves. The
air between them was really awkward.
Melody was also staring at Rocky. She still
wanted him back even after their breakup, and
she wasn’t ready to let him go so easily.
His staring at Janet made her wonder what had
happened between them, ‘cos Rocky wasn’t the
type of guy to stare at just any girl.
” Okay class, take your places. Take your action
positions.” The director ordered immediately he
arrived, and the students did as they were told.
Everyone stood in a special circle, leaving Janet
to stand in the middle. The director instantly
noticed that Brayden was missing.
” Where’s Brayden? He’s supposed to also be
here for the play.” He said.
A lady came and whispered some things to his
ear, then he nodded and the girl left.
” Brayden cancelled. He said he’s no longer
interested in the play.” He said, and they all
exchanged questioning glances between
themselves.
” This means that we’ll need a new male lead.
Rocky, you’re the new male lead.” He spoke
without hesitation, and Rocky’s eyes went wide.
Rocky stood rooted with shock in his spot. He
slowly stepped forward and went to stand
beside Janet within the circle.
Practice began immediately. Rocky was given
the script since he didn’t know the lines of the
okay. He studied them for a while and within a
few minutes, he already knew each line in the
script.
The others were taught a dance routine for the
play. Some were disqualified since they couldn’t
get the steps right, leaving Flash, Shady, Mario,
Cleo as lead dancers. Melody also failed in
dancing.
She angrily stormed out of the play afterwards,
and the rehearsal went on without her.
It was now time for the ending kiss, the part that
made nervousness get the best of Rocky.
There was so much suspense I in the air. Janet
wasn’t acting hesitant, but Rocky didn’t want to
kiss her at all. It was bad enough that he kissed
her on accident, but now he had to kiss her in
front of everyone?
He didn’t seem to have much of a choice, so he
slowly approached Janet and grabbed her
hands. He looked into her eyes with enormous
reluctance.
” Forgive me. I’m so sorry for this.” He said and
closed his eyes, them he slowly leaned in for her
lips,
The bell rang, signifying the end of all activities.
Rocky seprated instantly from Janet and
breathed in relief. He got ‘Saved by the Bell’.
Janet left the stage and walked out of the room,
and Rocky stared at her back intensely till she
left.
Cleo immediately went after her. She saw Janet
going into the restroom and raised her brows
suspiciously, then she entered the restroom too.
Janet’s back was turned at her, but something
was off. Some glitchy noises were coming from
Janet which sounded eerie and confusing.
” Are you okay?” She asked, and Janet turned
around to her. Her eyes were switching to
different colors at once and she was acting
glitchy-like, which scared guts out of Cleo in a
flash.
” Füçk!” Cleo gasped and held her chest, panting
out heavily.
” Janet, what’s wrong with your eyes? Why are
you acting like that? Is it because of Rocky?”
She asked.
” I-I-I don’t know, C-Cleo Santiago. I don’t f-fe-feel
right. My s-system is glitch-glitching.” Janet
spoke in an eerie manner as well, worrying Cleo
even more.
The virus had began corrupting her system
already, so that was the reason for her
abnormal behavior.
” I think what you need is some music to calm
you down. Let’s go to the music room.” Cleo
suggested, and quickly pulled her out of the
restroom.
In the next minute, both had arrived at the music
room. They entered, but were shocked by who
they saw next.
Brayden was already there, sitting in front of the
piano while playing a romantic tune with all his
attention.
Because he was so focused in what he was
doing, he didn’t notice them. They just stood
and watched him for a couple of more seconds.
Cleo heard footsteps behind herz and she
turned back to see Mario slowly walking to her.
She first rolled eyes and looked away, but she
felt the need to talk to him, and looked at Janet.
” On second thought, I’ll just leave you here with
Brayden. Be alright for me.” Cleo whispered to
her and left the room.
Janet looked at Brayden, still with her
malfunctioning rainbow eyes. She gathered the
courage and started to walk towards Brayden.
Halfway through the journey that she’d get to
Brayden, Melody sprang out if nowhere and
stood in Janet’s way, holding a large bottle of
water. Janet was caught in surprise.
” Just stand still, Bîtch.” Melody spat wickedly
and smirked, then she raised the bottle over
Janet’s head and dumped all the water on her.
Janet got wet from head to toe, and Melody
kicked her, pushing her to fall on her butt.
Janet tried to stand, but her sight was blurry
from the water in her eyes. Melody cackled
heartlessly, and that was when Brayden looked
back and saw what happened.
He acted unconcerned and didn’t even bother to
stop Melody. He just kept on watching the
show.
It seemed that Melody wasn’t done, because
she brought out another large bottle with
‘Hydrogen’ written on it.
She dumped the content entirely on Janet, and
she pulled out a lighter and activated a flame
on it.
Brayden smirked and kept on watching
interestedly.
Janet lifted her glitchy eyes and looked up at
Melody as they switched colors. She was barely
able to see anything.
” So long, Janet. Im your next life, try not avoid
Rocky at all costs.” She said, then she dropped
the lighter on the ground.
The hydrogen on the ground instantly caught
fire, and it began growing and racing towards
Janet. Before the fire could reach her, someone
strongly grabbed her out of harm’s way and she
got lifted from the ground.
Melody was surprised to find that it was Flash
who rescued Janet. He carried her in his arms
securely and gave Melody a dangerous glare.
Brayden was also shocked as well, then he
stood up from the piano.
Flash could feel the strong smell of hydrogen
and wetness from Janet and he looked down at
her. His clothes got wet with liquid as well.
Her eyes were closed, so he couldn’t see the
glitches she had. Her hair was even sticking to
her face in a cute way.
Melody gritted her teeth in annoyance, mad at
herself for nit able to light up Janet in flames.
Flash quickly bent down and dropped Janet,
then he took off his Platinum Boys jacket and
put it over Janet to shield her from getting ‘cold’,
because her skin felt cold on him.
” How could a human be so heartless? What
were you thinking when you tried to set a fellow
student on fire?” Flash spoke and stood up,
glaring at Melody.
” I could have just burnt her to ashes if you
didn’t arrive quickly on time. I’ll still destroy her
by other means.” Melody replied non-chalantly.
Flash looked at Brayden, who stared back
without a care.
” I’ll make sure you both pay for this. You’ll
regret what you tried to do with her.” He
threatened and carried Janet into his arms, then
he walked out of the room with her while the fire
kept burning on the ground.
Flash carried her directly to the school clinic for
urgent treatment.
The news spread over the school like wildfire. In
no time, Rocky also heard of it. He forgot about
everything else in his life and found himself
running to the clinic as fast as hell.
When he got there, he saw Janet sitting on the
bed with Flash beside her. She got dried up a
few moments ago.
Rocky walked to Janet and held her hands
ignoring Flash’s presence. He went on his knees
right in front of her and looked into her eyes
seriously.
” I’m so sorry, Janet.” He apologized again, and
Flash looked shocked as his eyes went wide.
” I’m so sorry for what Melody did to you. I
promise to make this up to you. I owe you a
favour from the bottom of my soul.” He
promised, shocking Flashed even more.
When did Rocky start kneeling for a girl? And he
even apologized for something he didn’t even
do? What was going on between them both? He
promised himself to get to the bottom of
everything.
♣ MARTIAL ARTS CLASS♣
Shady was practising alone in the dark room.
She was in her martial arts uniform, and looked
so good in it as she fought with the air skillfully.
She had a serious face on, and was even
sweating so much. She had been training all by
herself for a pretty long time without resting.
Melody walked into the room, and Shady
stopped fighting to look at her as she kept on
coming. Shady suddenly smiled, then Melody
got to her.
” I need your help, Shady.” Melody said, and
Shady’s smile grew wider.
” Thank you dear gods, for bringing me a victim
for sacrifice.” She muttered to no one and
bowed, then she stood in fighting style, ready to
attack Melody.
She took three steps back and ran fast to
Melody, then she leapt into the air and spinned,
bringing her leg to Melody’s head in full speed.
” I know exactly who killed your father.” Melody
suddenly spoke, and Shady’s eyes widened as
her leg froze right an inch to Melody’s face.
♣DR. MARK’S HOME ♣
Dr. Mark was in his lab, checking his computer
relentlessly as he detected the virus in Janet’s
software.
The whole computer was blinking in red, and he
was trying all his possible best to take down the
virus.
He tried to type in a passcode to deactivate the
virus, but it didn’t work and his whole screen
turned into a large red Spider. He couldn’t use it
to defeat the virus anymore.
” SpiderWall.” He muttered, and went to grab his
phone on a nearby table.
He quickly contacted Janet, but it was through
her mind. She received his signal instantly.
” Janet, where are you?” He asked.
” I’m presently in school, Dad.” She said in her
mind.
” Look, you have a virus in your system. Get out
of that school before it messes wuth your
system completely, and head home.” He told
her.
” Yes Dad.” She replied.
She stood up from the bed, though Rocky was
still holding her hands. He stood up with her.
” Where are you going?” He asked.
” I have to leave as fast as possible.” She
replied, then she tried to leave but he held her
back.
” You can’t leave just yet. You aren’t completely
well yet.” He told her.
” I have to go.” She said. With a relentless effort,
she pulled herself out of his grip and left the
clinic.
She made it out of the school as fast as
possible, and her eyes were currently glitching
again, showing different colors at once.
She started the race home and began to run as
fast as she could. She was still going when she
got double-crossed by two men in black, and
she halted in her tracks.
In the next flying seconds, more men in black
surrounded her, and she was trapped with
nowhere to run.
Ms. Yasmin came out of hiding as well and
stood in front of Janet with a proud smirk.
” Finally, I have you again. There’s nowhere to
escape this time.” She smirked as Janet’s eyes
continued to glitch with many colors.
