Snow remain confused, he did take off the veil so why didn’t he recognize me? Is they something else on my face ” my lady ” Leo step forwards ” please come with me”
” okay ”
Giving trivia one last glance I walk behind Leo, the place haven’t changed at all, still looking same, walking pass the room I once spent my days I stare at Leo, five years hasn’t change anything in him.
Still look same.
” what’s your name my lady ” he ask while opening the door ” your room ”
” thank you ” stepping in I try closing it but his grip on the handle tighten ” what’s your name my lady ” though the smile on his face didn’t change.
” miss brown” I choke the words out, I have always h@të lying ” that’s my name ”
” nice to meet you my lady” he bow his head ” I hope you find my master a good husband”
” I hope so too Leo ”
” hmm” he give me one more look” I will take my leave” and with that he walk away, leaving me alone in the empty room, i look to and fro before tip toeing to my room, the mirror still there, the bed scattered just like how I left it.
Nothing was changed or added.
Taking the veil off my face I stare at the mirror, I couldn’t see my own face too, what’s the meaning of this, did the veil has some kind of magic? Is my face forever gone ” what are you doing here?” Hearing that voice I flinch before my gaze move to meet his.
Alucard stand at the door, glass of wine in his hand ” I remember saying, you’re forbidden from entering here ”
” my lord I….”
” why are you here ”
” the….the” stammering I try finding words ” I wanted to see my face my lord, Leo told me about the mirror here ” he said nothing else, just sip his wine, drop the glass on the table then step closer.
” you smell like her ”
” like who my lord ”
He Lean close” the woman who keep taunting me in my dreams ”
” taunting?”
He nod ” doing all sort of naughty things to me in my dreams ”
” naughty” I repeat his words, my cheek heating up ” I don’t think is proper to tell such things to a woman you wish to marry”
” I know you’re snow ” he step back ” take off the mask, I wish to see your face ”
” you’re mistaken my lord ”
” if you don’t take off your mask, I won’t marry you ”
” my lord ”
” take it off ” I said nothing, just watch him run his hand through his hair ” I missed your face, let me see it ”
” I don’t ” looking at him I purred ” I don’t know how to ”
” then step closer” I did as he said, he touch my face softly, speaking words I don’t understand and suddenly, it felt like the mask was gone, his hand touch my bare face
” my lord” I mumble, suddenly breathless.
” good evening snow” his tongue linger over my name, drawing it out, making me shiver as though he had caressed me ” why are you here sweet snow ”
” my father ”
He shake his head ” I know why you come home but why are you here, pretending to be someone else ”
” I miss you my lord ”
” you missed me?”
I nod ” you find that so hard to believe ” he laughed but they was no humor in the sound ” I find it impossible to believe ”
” it’s true, nonetheless, am sorry if it displease you ”
” it does not displease me sweet snow “he replied quietly ” how long do you plan to stay”
” at the castle? ”

” I have come to stay” I frown ” I do plan on marrying you after all ”
” you must not ” a frown creep into his face ” cut all ties you have with trivia and go back to London ”
” my lord ” I look up at him, surprise by the vehemence in his voice ” I suppose my presence displease you as much as my honesty does ”
” nothing about you displease me snow, is only your wellbeing am thinking of ”
” my lord ”
” your future snow, I could see you wed to a man worthy of you not to some farmer who will make you old before your time, who will plant a baby in your womb every year and see you to your grave early ”
” you wish me to marry?”
” is it not your wish also?”
” yes, of course but ”
His gaze held mine ” but?”
” I don’t want to marry for wealth my lord, but for love ”
” love.” He whisper the words.
” have you ever been in love my lord”
Slowly he nod his head, his blue eyes fill with so much pain, such stark loneliness that I wanted to weep, was it only my imagination or did his cloth seem to wrap more closely around him, as if to comfort him.
” and you ” he sit on the bed, pick up his glass and sip ” have you in your short life, find love ”
” yes my lord, though I fear he does not return my affection ”
” then he is a fool!”
A smile appear on my lips” on that, at least, we both agree ”
” who is this man ” anger could be evident in his voice, the way he hold his glass as if he wish it was the man neck
” can you not guess” my voice more like a whisper.
Alucard close his eyes, pain ripping through him, I can never forget this moment, the love shining bright and clear in her eyes, the wonder of it, a long shuddering sigh escape me before I open my eyes, stand to my feet.
” go away from here snow”I said, my voice brusque, eyes as cold as black ice ” leave my house and never come back” she recoil as if I had slap her, the hurt in her eyes squeezing my soul ” blast this thought of marriage, be gone and pray I never see you again ”
” as you wish my lord ” snow said, turning on her feet and running out of the room and the castle without a backward glance, standing close to the window I clench my hands together.
My eyes didn’t miss the tears that drop, at seventeen she told me of her love, I didn’t think much of it, she was a child, I thought sending her to London will change her mind, meet new people, fall in love and maybe marry.
Though the thought of her marrying someone else have always made my heart break, the moment snow step out of the gate, I fasten my step to trivia, my hands around her neck ” Dracula! ”
” am giving you the last warning woman ” I growl, eyes deepen ” am not your child, I will do wh@tëver I wish to do, take your children and leave, out of my life ”
” you know I can’t leave you ” she hold my hand, struggling out of my grip ” I love you ”
” to hell with your pitiful love ” letting go of her, I slap her hard across the face ” this should be the last time I lay eyes on you, stay out of my business and the woman I choose to embrace ”
” you hit me ” Bevin and Leo help her up ” you dare to hit me ”
” I will do more of that if you cross your limit again ” giving her one last glance I smile ” if either of you wish to stay with your horrible mother, go ahead, I have no use of betrayers in my life ” and with that I walk to the library, to clear my head but instead I frown at the little girl I decided to save in the forest last night.
” my lord?” She smile at me while I shrug then pat her head.
” you’re the only one I have left Levis ”
” does that mean you will marry me ”
” No ”
” but why ”
” you lack Brë@št ” and once again, she begin her crocodile tears.
