Chapter Thirteen
Mrs.Lucia was sitting in the living room with her mother picking out dirt from the food she was going to prepare.
“Mom, do you think she will come?”.She asked.
“Sure, she will”.
“But it’s been days now and no sign of her”.She worries.
“She is your daughter and she will definitely come to her house, I can’t wait to meet her”.
“She is here”.Jasmine said standing beside the door with her belongings, they were shocked to see her.
“Jasmine?”.Mrs.Lucia called surprisedly as she placed the tray she was holding on the table. “You are here”.
“Yes, Mom”.She smiled and rushed to hug her.Mrs.Lucia was surprised by her actions and she held her back. They were in each other arms for a long time before Grandma Alma spoke.
“Break out from it, it’s my turn now for the hug”.She said and they pulled away from each other. Isabella story, don’t copy.”Come here, child”.She said and Jasmine bent to her and hugged her.”Is good to see you”.They pulled away from each other arms and she creased her face.”You are so beautiful dear and you have the eyes of your father”.

“I am your grandmother”.She said.
“I have prepared your room, let me take you there”.Mrs. Lucia said excitedly as she helped her with her luggage to the room. Isabella story, don’t copy. Jasmine was amazed.”I know it’s not your taste and not that big, but it’s comfortable”.
“Are you kidding me, I love it”.She said smiling.

“Why not take a bath, I will prepare something for you to eat”.
“Ok”.She smiled and they left.
“Wow, she is so beautiful”.Grandma Alma said as they left for the kitchen.
“Yes, the very first day I came in contact with her, there was something different about her”.
“Was she the girl that gave you the handkerchief?”.
“Yes Mom, she was the one”.
“Wow, blood they say is thicker than water, I hope she will not be mean as Fiona”.
“Don’t say that mother, she can never be”.
“I can’t wait to see the look on my son’s face when he sees her”.She said and they chuckled.
Some moments later, Mrs.Lucia was done cooking, she dished the food on the dining table. Isabella story, don’t copy.
“Hmm, this smells nice”.Jasmine said from behind.
“Oh, you are here already, I was coming to call you”.
“Well, I am here now, am starving”.She sat down and dished herself some food and took a scoop of it to her mouth.
“Do you like it?”.Grandma Alma asked as they were waiting for her response. She raised her hand and gave them a thumb.
“Super! I love it”.She said and they clapped.
“Am glad you like it”.Mrs.Lucia said as they watched her eat. After a while, she emptied the whole plate and they were amazed.”Do you need more?”.
“No, I will reserve my tummy for dinner later”.She said and they laughed.
“You are so funny”.Grandma Alma said.
“I love the meal, it was delicious, I hope to have the same for dinner”.
“Sure, I will prepare it”.
“I will help out”.
“No, you can’t, you need to rest”.
“I am not saying now, maybe when it’s time for the cooking”.
“Don’t bother child, your mother won’t allow that”.Grandma Alma.
“I will let you join me after you settle in”.She said.
“Ok”.They smile at each other.
Some hours later, everyone was at the dining table eating and laughing. Isabella story, don’t copy. Mr. James couldn’t hide his joy when he saw Jasmine, he hugged her tight and caressed her in his arms.
“So, Dad, how was work today? Was it stressful?”.Jasmine asked and they were amazed by her.
“Yes dear, it’s a little stressful, but it’s ok”.He said.
“Oh, Mom said is a construction company”.
“Yes dear”.
“I would love to go with you someday”.
“Ok, I will take you there”.
“Thank you”.They smile and continue eating
“This is what a happy family should look like”.Grandma Alma said and they laughed enjoying their meal.

Meanwhile, at Mr. George’s house, everyone was looking paled while eating except for Desmond and Fiona who kept nonchalant faces.
“Is everything ok? You guys are not eating?”.Fiona asked.
“This dining table looks boring without Jasmine here if felt like we are starting all over again”.Blake said sadly and Fiona stared hard at him.
“Why are you saying that I am your real sister now, you should be happy that I am here”.Fiona said bluntly.
“We are happy that you are here dear”.Mr.George said.
“I don’t see that, I have been living here for days now and it felt I don’t belong here”.She said sadly and her parents sighed.
“Yeah, you are right, why don’t you go back and let Jasmine come here”.Blake said and his parents were surprised at him.
“Why will you say that Blake? Fiona is your real sister, you should get used to her living here, Jasmine has her new family now, so deal with it”.Desmond said and Fiona smiled knowing he was taking her side, but Blake was surprised at him.
“You don’t care, do you? I know you and Jasmine were never good to each other, but she was your sister before all these happened, for once in your life be considerate”.Blake said bluntly.
“Blake that is enough”.Mrs.Ava said.
“Now you know why I never flow with her because she wasn’t really my biological sister, fate has its way, kid brother”.Desmond said nonchalantly.
“Let me ask you a question, do you ever have a little likeness for her as a sister? Or do you hæte her that much?”.Blake asked.
“Son, that’s enough, let’s not bring the past, let’s continue our normal lives, Fiona is here now, and she is your sister, and Jasmine is happy with her family now, so, end of story”.Mr.George said and everyone became calm.
“Am sorry family, I think I just lost my appetite”.Blake said angrily as he left for his room ignoring his parent’s call.
“I guess this whole thing is my fault”.Fiona said sadly.”I mean is not my fault I was switched with Jasmine, why am I to be blamed”.
“Don’t say that, no one is blaming you”.Mrs.Ava said.
“It seems no one wants me here”.
“She is right Mom, Fiona is your biological daughter, a DNA result proves that, the same love you showed Jasmine when she was here, let Fiona have the same love if she wasn’t switched, you would have loved her, she is my twin sister and I can feel the blood connection between us unlike Jasmine”.Desmond said.
“We love her and we will do our best for her”.Mr.George said and Fiona smiled.
“Really Dad?”.She asked and they nodded.
“You are our daughter and we love you so much”.Mrs.Ava said.
“I love you all too, but Blake doesn’t like me”.
“Don’t worry about him, he will come around”.Desmond said.
