Eugene stood frozen on spot as she tried to assimilate what was about to happen
“Is he really going to send me to asylum? She thought in fear
Her eyes landed on Linda who was grinning ear to ear
She needs no soothsayer to tell her that Linda was behind this
But one thing is sure, she will never allow her to win
This time she has no choice but to use the only option
“EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL”
Eugene faced Brandon with her lips quivering
“Daddy do you h@të me so much that you are sending me away?? She asked as her eyes blurred with tears
“I know I was wrong to hit Aunt Linda but I have apologized already
“If taking me away will make you happy,then I’ll follow them” she sniffed back her tears and started walking to the psychiatrist
“Please stop me! Call me back! Eugene chanted in her head
Linda smile happily as she watched Eugene walking towards the van
“Goodbye bîtch! She muttered excitedly
” Wait! Brandon ordered coldly which made Eugene stopped walking
Linda smile fell at once as she heard Brandon’s voice
Eugene beamed mentally and face Brandon with her innocent look
She stared at Brandon questioningly
Brandon ignored her and face the nurses
“You can leave,am sorry for the trouble” he apologized to the psychiatrist
” It’s not a problem sir,we will take our leave then” the elderly woman among them replied
They weren’t angry at Brandon at all, after witnessing the little conversation between Eugene and Brandon, they observed that Eugene doesn’t need to be admitted into the asylum, she is okay mentally, the problem is her memories.
After the van drove out of the compound, Eugene faced Brandon happily
“Thank you Daddy” she said with a sincere smile
Brandon nodded and walked in while Linda followed behind
Just as the two left, Eugene let out a sigh of relief
She can’t believe that she was almost sent to an asylum
But it’s crystal clear to her that, Brandon used this means to test her
“That devilish Linda,I really wish I could send that woman as a patient to that psychiatric home” she thought glaring into space

” Brandon this is not we agreed on,I thought we decided to that girl to the asylum! Linda shouted behind Brandon as they walked into the living room
” We never agreed on anything Lin” I only brought those people here to test Eugene,I want to see if her sickness was real or a pretense, and now I have gotten my answer
“So you mean you are keeping her here? Linda asked unbelievably but Brandon ignored her which had answer her question
” Brandon that girl is mentally unstable, have you forgotten that she is the reason why am in this condition!! She complained bitterly
“She did that because you provoked her Lin,if you stay in your lane then she will not do anything to you” Brandon replied calmly and walk away
Linda stared at Brandon’s back with disbelief in her eyes
” Has Brandon been Bewitched? She thought
She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard a mocking laughter beside her
Her eyes dimmed as she saw Eugene who had a mocking smile on her face
“You must be so happy bîtch! Linda spatted h@tëfully and Eugene smile widened
” I remember an adage which says ” once a loser always a loser” Eugene mocked childishly and left
“Daughter of a wh*re!! Linda clenched her fist angrily
