β¨ FEW DAYS LATER β©
Devyn woke up as early as possible to prepare a few dishes for her mom before she left for work. It was her momβs birthday, and she wanted to surprise her.
Devyn had been awake since 5 a.m., making sure to be as quiet as possible to avoid waking her mom. She knew her mom typically left for work around 8 a.m.
She continued working diligently until she was finally done. Checking the time, she realized it was already past 7 a.m. Her mom was still asleep, although it wasnβt unusual for her to sleep in. Devyn didnβt want to disturb her, so she quietly set the dining room and then approached her momβs bedroom.
βGood morning, Mom,β She whispered, gently waking Cecilia up. Her momβs eyes fluttered open, and she noticed the smell of beef.
βYou smell like beefβ¦ did you cook?β Cecilia asked, her confusion quickly turning into a smile.
βHappy birthday, Mom,β Devyn replied, beaming with joy. Cecilia blinked, momentarily forgetting that it was her birthday.
βWhat day is it?β she asked.
βItβs the 8th of July, Momβ Devyn answered. Ceciliaβs face lit up with realization.
βAh, I didnβt even remember,β she said.
βItβs fine. Letβs go. Iβve got a surprise for you,β Devyn said, pulling her mom out of bed and leading her to the dining room.
βI havenβt even cleaned up,β Cecilia muttered.
βYou can do that when youβre ready to go to work,β Devyn assured her. She guided her mom to the seat and started uncovering the dishes one by one. Cecilia watched in awe as her favorite dishes were revealed: beef skillet, omelette roll, dakjuk (chicken porridge), and gyeran bap (Korean egg rice).
βWow,β Cecilia muttered, her eyes fixed on the mouthwatering spread. She smiled, grateful that her daughter had become quite skilled in the kitchen.
She picked up her chopsticks and began savoring each dish. Devyn sat across her, happily observing her mom as she ate. Soon, Blueberry emerged from his room, joining them at the dining table.
βGood morning, Cecilia, and happy birthday,β he greeted warmly. Cecilia smiled, now enjoying her second round of breakfast. She finished eating, stood up, and expressed her gratitude.
βThis is definitely the best birthday present ever,β she smiled, walking over to her daughter. Cecilia embraced Devyn, planting a K!SS on her hair. She then went to Blueberry, who immediately stopped her.
βI h@tΓ« that β he complained, but Cecilia chuckled.
βYou both should eat now, okay? Mom will freshen up and head to work. And Blueberry, please take care of Devyn, alright?β Cecilia instructed before retiring to her room. After getting ready, she was about to leave when Blueberry called her back.
She turned to face him as he approached, leaning closer to her.
βDonβt h@tΓ« Jayden. He likes you, but you can let him know that youβd like to be friends and nothing more. Heβll make a great friend,β Blueberry whispered. Cecilia stared at him, taken aback by his words. He simply shrugged and returned to Devyn, who was observing the exchange between her mom and Blueberry.
βIβll be off now,β Cecilia said quietly and left.

β¨ MARVINSβ RESIDENCE β©
The boys were overjoyed and couldnβt contain their gratitude towards Blueberry. Blueberry had revealed his non-human identity and Mu Yulβs role as a grim reaper. Although the boys had been a little scared of them at first, they had grown to like them. Blueberry and Mu yul had become like older brothers to them.
βI canβt wait for the break to be over so we can see Berry and Yul,β Sweetheart exclaimed.
βShould we call them and buy another pack of yogurt?β Ian suggested.
βIβm sure heβll be here if he wants to be. Like he said, he belongs to Devyn,β Nash replied, and Valerie looked up, curious.
βWhat?β Nash turned to face Valerie, and Rema gasped.
βWhat? Did you remember something for the first time in your life?β Alistair asked Rema.
βI thinkβ¦ Devyn Hanβ¦ and Valerie. Sheβs the girl he talked about when we played the truth or dare game a year ago, remember?β Rema revealed, causing the boysβ eyes to widen in surprise.
βWhat?!β Sweetheart, Ian, Nash, and Alistair exclaimed. Maikel, on the other hand, smiled, while Valerie stood up, preparing to leave. However, Nash held onto his leg, preventing him from moving any further.
βWas that it? Do you still love her?β Nash teased. βDoes she know that youβre Kelvin?β Nash asked.
βLeave me alone,β Valerie replied.
βI donβt want to,β Nash retorted, acting like a stubborn child.
βWhy then are you both acting like strangers? Did you do something bad to her?β Ian asked.
βOr maybe she doesnβt like you anymore?β Sweetheart chimed in.
βHow would I like him if I were her? I mean, he was supposed to recognize me first?β Alistair commented, and Valerie sighed in frustration.
βIf you still care about her, you should go get her,β Maikel spoke up, catching Valerieβs attention.
β Butβ¦ β
β You think I like her? Yes, I do, but as a friendβ¦ A special friend and nothing more β Maikel clarified.
β Have we been missing something?β Nash frowned at Maikel.
β Itβs nothingβ¦ For real β
β I know itβs nothing because youβre mineβ¦ Mine alone β Nash said and Maikel laughed at Nashβs relentless teasing.
Valerie stared at Maikel for a while He had always thought he also liked Devyn. He had been avoiding talking to her to prevent any potential conflicts between them. However, now that Maikel clarified that he only saw Devyn as a special friend, Valerie was determined to express his true feelings to Devyn.
βAs soon as the break is over, go grab her @$$ and squeeze the hell out of it,β Nash suggested naughtily, and everyone turned to face him.
βWhat? Itβs not like yβall havenβt touched mine too. Maikel even touched my fluffy @$$. Itβs so soft and smooth,β Nash added, wiggling his eyebrows cutely. The boys made disgusted faces and distanced themselves from Nashβs side.
βI doubt if hyung is a virgin,β Sweetheart commented, and Nash raised his eyebrows playfully. The boysβ eyes widened.
βYouβre not?β they all exclaimed.
βYou all deflowered me, remember? The day you all barged into my room when I was Ζ@kΔΙ. You all sawβ¦ gosh, my precious body,β Nash whined, and the boys burst into laughter.

THE BEAUTIES RESIDENT
Elvira was still recovering from her coma, and Miss Rachel had been a great help in taking care of her.
Harriet found herself lost in thought, reminiscing about the time she spent with the girls when their only rivals were SUNSHINE. She couldnβt understand why Elvira and Zora held grudges against Devyn, who seemed cool and nice to her.
She couldnβt comprehend why the girls treated Devyn that way. Lost in her thoughts, Elvire came and touched her.
βYouβre going to get sick at this rate,β Elvire said, placing a tray of food in front of Harriet.
βWill you be mad at me if I speak my mind?β Harriet asked.
βAnd whatβs on your mind?β Elvire asked, looking clueless.
βI want Zora and Elvira out of the group so that they can learn their lessons. I was so embarrassed. Gemma called me a worthless leader who couldnβt even control her own team because of what Elvira did. Just a single video made me look like a bad leader. Iβm one year older than yβall, so why? β Harriet asked, while Elvire smiled.
βItβs going to be alright. Let her regain consciousness first, and then weβll figure out how to handle this. You should eat already,β Elvire said, taking the spoon from the tray and slowly feeding Harriet.

DAENG COMMERCIALS
Cecilia arrived at the company to find it deserted. The silence was so profound that she had to check her phone to make sure it wasnβt Friday. When she realized it was Saturday, she gasped in surprise.
βWow! Which organization works on Saturday?β she exclaimed, unable to believe it. She had received a text from the company instructing everyone to arrive early, and had she remembered that today was Saturday, she wouldnβt have bothered coming. However, to her surprise, the company was open.
Deciding to head to her office, someone suddenly grabbed her wrist from behind. Her heart sank with fear as she quickly turned around to see who it was.
βHappy birthday!β all the workers chorused, and she blinked in confusion, looking at the numbers displayed behind her. Slowly, the workers made way, and Jayden entered with a small box and flowers.
He handed them to her while she reluctantly accepted the gift.
βDonβt worry, I know what youβll say, so letβs be best buddies,β Jayden whispered to her, and Cecilia remembered what Blueberry had said. She nodded gently and faced the others.
βMr. Jayden said we should all go to his home to celebrate today,β an employee screamed loudly, while Cecilia could only force a smile.
Why were they so happy about her birthday? Although her ex-husband had never celebrated it for her, a smile still played on her lips as the workers gently pulled her out of the company.
They took her to Jaydenβs car, while others boarded the company bus, and they drove off to Jaydenβs place. Cecilia wasnβt used to it, so she felt uncomfortable going to another manβs house.
As Jayden drove, she opened the box. Her eyes widened when she saw a car manual inside. She stared at it intently and realized it was for the same car she was currently riding in.
βWhatβs this?β she asked.
βOh, this? Itβs yours. Your birthday present. Please donβt say no, and this isnβt all; the next surprise will be on Monday,β he replied. She stared at him with a strange expression, and Jayden chuckled without sparing her a glance as he continued driving quietly.

Mu Yul hadnβt visited Yeomra for a while, and he didnβt seem bothered by it, as his aim was to recall how he died. No matter how hard he tried, he still couldnβt remember. The fact that Yeomra wasnβt helping out made him incredibly frustrated.
βShould I go see Blueberry? Iβm so bored,β he muttered and agreed to his own suggestion, disappearing from his bed at once.
β
Lesley made to sit on her bed when a voice spoke in her head.
βFor how long will you keep me in the dark?β the voice asked.
βWho are you, and what do you want? How did we even meet, and how the hell did we become one?β the voice asked calmly.
βIβm sorry, Lesley. Iβll go when itβs time,β She replied, and the voice within her scoffed.
βOne time I lost my mind, another time I donβt know what Iβm doing, and I even hurt someone because of you. To make everything worse, I donβt even know you!!β The voice cried.
βIβll leave when itβs time, and I hope you can endure me until then,β
βAnd you believe her?β Another voice echoed in the room and the Lesley shunned the voice in her head off.
β Until when are you planning to use this human, Catrina? You should give the real Lesley some time to be herself. If you keep hiding in the poor girlβs body, you might end up possessing her forever. And when that happens, you know the punishment for the dead harboring the body of a human,β the man said, and Lesley laughed.
βI really donβt need you to tell me how to act because I know what to do. Itβs surprising youβre not dead. But looking at you right now, you canβt even handle a punch from me. So now, if you know whatβs good for you, you should leave my sight. I donβt need you to lecture me about the consequences of using a human as my shield,β Lesley said confidently, while the man laughed briefly.
βA little hint, Catrina: you wonβt even fulfill your dream. Iβll make sure of that,β the man laughed and disappeared. Lesley sighed and sat on the bed.
βWho are you?β The voice in her head spoke once more.
βMe? Iβm Catrina Berthelot from France.β Lesley replied.
βHow come weβre sharing one body when I was born and raised here?β The voice asked.
βIβll tell you the whole story about me, so please, let me keep using this body for a while. Please, Lesleyβ Catrina pleaded, and Lesley went silent.
βIs that a yes?β Catrina asked.
βIβll think about it,β Lesley replied, and Catrina nodded. Gradually, the two souls United, and Lesley fell on her bed, thinking about what the man had said.

Mr. Han, also Devynβs father, returned to his mansion to pick up some docvments when he heard his recent wife MΓ΅@Ι²ing from their room. He blinked rapidly, not wanting to believe his ears, as he made his way towards his room. Their only son had gone to school.
He didnβt stop walking until he reached the room. He twisted the door open and was stunned to find another man on top of his wife. He staggered back slightly, his fingers curling into a fist.
Cecilia was never like his second wife. Cecilia was like his lapdog, obedient and loyal. She would do as he told her and never questioned him. She even caught him cheating, yet she decided to endure it. But the insult about his only daughter being a monster made him throw them out of the house.
But since he married his second wife, she had been involved with one man after another. Sleeping around meant nothing to her.
βSamantha!! β He called angrily, and the man on top of his wife quickly jumped up from her body.
βHoney,β Samantha called while Henry, Devynβs dad, inhaled. βBefore I come back home, make sure you leave this place and never return,β he said through gritted teeth before storming out of the house.
βHoney!β Samantha continued calling, while Henryβs mind drifted to Cecilia and his daughter for the first time ever. Regrets washed over him as he thought about them.

DEVYNβS HOME, 6 PM
Cecilia called and informed Devyn and Blueberry that she would be coming home late since her colleagues didnβt want her to leave yet, and they understood. Mu Yul was with them as well.
βIt was really fun. I canβt believe you both can sing this well,β Devyn smiled as they sat down. They had just left the karaoke house, and decided to have fun during their break from learning how to sing so they could be promoted to the silver class.
βItβs all thanks to you,β Mu Yul said as he headed to the kitchen to get a bottle of juice for himself, Blueberry, and Devyn.
βBecause of her? Of course not. I knew how to sing from the very beginning, but I was ignorant since I didnβt even know what music was,β Blueberry said instead, while Devyn chuckled.
βIβll go freshen up,β Devyn stood up and started heading to her room. Mu Yul kept staring at her, so Blueberry had to block his view.
βWhat? She looks extra beautiful while sweating. Can I keep her by my side?β Mu Yul asked, and Blueberry frowned.
βWhat? I told you to like her, but you said no. So why?β Mu Yul asked.
βDonβt tell me you like her,β He asked again.
βWhy would I like her? I donβt β Blueberry scoffed.
βBut your eyes are saying something else entirelyβ Mu Yul teased, and Blueberry stood up. He pulled Mu Yul up and started pushing him towards the door.
βYou should leaveβ He said, while Mu Yul kept chuckling.
βIβm sure Iβm right. I can feel it β Mu Yul said again, until Blueberry finally shut the door in his face before locking it from inside. Yet, Mu Yul reappeared inside the house.
βHow can you appear like that? What if she sees you, moron?β Blueberry scolded quietly.
βAre you both fighting?β they heard Devynβs voice, and they both turned to see if she was behind them, but no, she was still in her room.
βOf course not. Berry said heβll miss me if I go now,β Mu Yul said aloud, and Blueberry faced him with a weird glance.
βI think I should leave,β he said awkwardly and made himself invisible.
βYou like her, right?β His voice echoed around the room, and Blueberry gritted his teeth, cursing under his breath. Mu Yul laughed as he finally disappeared.
βThat rat,β Blueberry muttered and went to his room to take a shower.
After taking his shower, he put on a pair of shorts that ended above his knees and an armless shirt. Devyn was still in her room.
He headed to the kitchen to make dinner, as he had learned from Cecilia. He decided to make fried rice and beef ribs.
He made a serving for two, knowing that Cecilia wouldnβt come home for the night since they would all be spending the night at their bossβs house.
The aroma of the food reached Devynβs nostrils, and she left her room in her pajamas, her usual way of dressing with her hair in two ponytails.
She entered the kitchen and found Berry cooking.
β Berry?β She called his name, and he turned to face her slowly. He stared at her for a while, and strangely, he could feel the rapid beat of something, which he didnβt want to believe was his heart.
βYou like her, right?β Those words echoed in his head, and he immediately focused on what he was doing.
βIs something wrong?β Devyn asked, confused. βDo you need help?β she added.
βItβs okay, Iβm done cooking anyway,β he said and went to the cupboard to get some plates to dish out the food.
He returned to the counter and began plating the food. Devyn walked up to him.
βDid I do something wrong? Why are you avoiding me now?β she asked, and he looked down at her.
βYouβre making me uncomfortable,β he muttered, placing the plates of food in her hands. She stared at her hands and then at him.
βWhat did you say?β she asked, but she was shocked by his next action.
He gently placed his lips on hers. Her eyes went wide open instantly as she couldnβt believe it. His hands supported the plates with her so they wouldnβt fall.
He pulled away, and took the plates of food from her. He looked down at her shocked expression and made to leave, but she held him back.
βWhat did youβ¦ just do?β she asked, still shocked.
βI K!SSed you,β he replied.
β Why? Why would you K!SS me, Berry? Just why?β she asked, her voice sounding as if she wanted to cry. That was her first K!SS.
βI have feelings for youβ he said, and she staggered, while he made to leave again.
βHeβs being so straightforward,β she muttered as she watched him almost leave the kitchen.
βBut you promised not to love me! We made a promise!β She said loudly
Blueberry heard her, and his steps faltered. He walked back to her, placing the two plates of food on the kitchen counter. He approached her, and she shifted back until her back met another counter, blocking her way. He stopped moving when he got in front of her, his gaze intimidating.
β I did promise, but I never said I was gonna keep it β
β What!β
