Chapter 58 – Lost Child
“She makes me weak.”
“She makes you human.”
“Same difference Taeyong.” Johnny retorted.
Taeyong shook his head. “It’s not.” Taeyong pressed. “What’s really bothering you, I know you for too long and too well to know that you don’t make hasty decisions like that.”
“You really need to shut the hell up sometimes Taeyong!” Johnny snapped stepping towards his second leader.
Taeyong wasn’t going to give up, but h wasn’t a fool and he knew when to back down. He wasn’t planning on being added to Johnny’s kill list.
“I don’t need you trying to bug your way into my life. I’m ending it with him. Everything that has to do with Jeon SoMi will be cut out of my life and that includes you. So both you and the boys get her out of your lives, or you’re out of here. Understood?” Johnny demanded.
Taeyong couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Johnny was threatening him, which he had never seriously did, because of SoMi. Why was Johnny making this such a big deal? Did she really say something that could provoke him that much. He knew she most likely did it else Johnny wouldn’t be like this. The only thing he could think of that made sense was if SoMi brought up her parents, because SoMi didn’t know Johnny was scared of repeating history all over again.
“You know my loyalty is with you.” Taeyong stated, not quite answering his question.
“Then show it.”
Taeyong didn’t say anything else. He just turned around and walked away. He could see the rest of NCT127 by the tip of the stairs and by the look in their faces; they had heard the whole conversation.
“He’s stupid.”
“He’s stubborn.”
“He’s a fool.”
Taeyong frowned. He just kicked an amazing woman out of his life; and it’s all because he’s too scared.
….
SoMi felt everything around her fall apart as she tried holding onto the small particles of sanity she had left.
Her thoughts flooded her mind as much as she wanted to push it away, she couldn’t, SoMi wasn’t a robot. She couldn’t shut it out simply because it hurts too much. She wished she could because right now she felt like her entire world was falling apart before her.
Everything was crashing down, bending and twisting, she didn’t know much more she could take.
There’s a reason why she shut herself out from people. People can hurt her.
The following events that unfolded after argument, if that’s what the call it, consisted of Johnny pushing her out of his world. Which meant the apartment they shared, NCT127, and now their engagement; he was determined to cut her out of his life..
She didn’t understand why he had to be so persistent with cutting her out. H claimed that he made him weak, but couldn’t she say the same about him. He made her weak. He tore down the walls she built. He made her feel like a lost child. He had feelings for her, she was almost sure of it. The way he spoke and the things he did confirmed that for her, but she wouldn’t make major assumption until he admitted it himself, which seemed unlikely.
She stepped through the the dark alley; carefully looking at her suddenly to make sure no one tried pulling anything funny. She saw the man standing at the other end of the alley, dressed in a dark trench coat and hat.
He slowly turned around when he heard her approach. She came to a standstill when he made eyes contact with her.
“Who whose here alone.” He stated looking at her with amusement. The news of her broken engagement with a certain heir had hit the news. SoMi had tried stepping out of the public eye to avoid the storm that had hit her.
Just like that everything ended. She knew this was bound to happen. Johnny made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with her.
“Explain to me what happened.” She stated. A curious look appeared on her face. She needed answers, namely who he was working with because what had against Johnny, because she knew he had something against Johnny.
“Why do you still care about him so much?” He asked.
She rolled her eyes, now wasn’t a time to be talking about her relationship with Johnny Suh.
