Chapter 69 – Grim Shadow
Just like the story of her life, it was pouring heavily when stepped outside into the night sky. The moon casted a grim shadow for her and her wounds burned like acid when the time splattered against her skin making her cringed. She ran barefoot through the woods while the sky poured down it’s worst.
She could feel the fire burning behind her as she ran. She knew Chenle was inside, but she knew he would escape. What she was hoping for him to believe that she didn’t make it alive. She could feel her shadow chasing after her, so she ran. She just ran like a fool, like an idiot, like a lost child, like a brokenhearted damsel. She just ran because she couldn’t take it anymore. There was nothing else left for her.
She was feeling so much anger, disappointment, resentful, betrayal, hurt, it was so much, too much for her to handle. She felt like a storm if emotions had been lock up within her and she had just burst open.
She didn’t know if he t was the after effect of being tortured or but she just wanted to be done with all this. She was so tired and exhausted, she couldn’t do this anymore.
Only when she reached the first sign of civilization did she collapse on the dirt. Up ahead was a small town, the streetlight flickered dark and light and the streets were quiet of course they would be because she knew it was probably sometime in the middle of the time.
She knew she had found refugee, but all she could feel was pain, physical, mental, and emotional.
She huffed heavily as the rain continued to wreck havoc lying on the ground with her head hung low she did the one thing she refused to do for so long.
She finally let the tears fall, she finally let herself cry, because they say ‘crying was for the weak, crying was for the broken, crying was for the lost and that was exactly what SoMi was.
She was crying, she was falling apart right at this moment. At this moment, she crumbled, she shattered.

Johnny stood at a standstill as Chenle was being punished by extremely pissed Taeyong. Torture by Taeyong was like being set on fire, over and over again non-stop.
“He was the one who asked for help.” Chenle shouted in pain.
Yes, Johnny was the one who tipped Chenle off about SoMi’s kidnapping. That was the reason why he locked himself in Yuta’s d@mn computer cave for so long. He needed to track down Chenle.
So in her absence he found out that SoMi had asked Chenle for help to figure out who had threatened him. She found that person lead straight back to her parents murder. And he could have guessed that she knew it was her grandfather. He was the puppet master behind this whole mess. Right now, she was messing, like into thin air messing.
Johnny knew he wasn’t dead. He was hiding somewhere waiting to make his move.
“Let him go.” Johnny ordered.
Taeyong froze for a second before he turned around to face Johnny. His stunned face said it all.
“It wasn’t his fault SoMi died.” He told Taeyong and he knew that Taeyong was on the verge of killing him.
“What?” Both Taeyong and Chenle stated in unison.
Johnny huffed, running his fingers over his blonde locks. “What did she offer you? What did SoMi offer letter for helping her?” He asked because he knew SoMi offered something. People like Chenle didn’t make deals and expect nothing in return.
“I can give you that.” Johnny decided. “As long as you never show your face in front of me again.” He added.
Chenle smiled because the man hunting him was now helping. “A clean stale, my old record is wiped clean, that’s what she ordered before her pretty little head burned down in that building.” He answered. He was thrown back onto the ground by Taeyong.
“Shut the hell up!” Taeyong hissed viciously through gritted teeth and cold eyes.
“I can give you that.” Johnny decided, “As long as you never show your face in front of me again.” He added.
Chenle smiled, pleased with the outcome of things. “Deal.”

“What the hell was that? Are you out of your mind?!” Taeyong shouted as he followed Johnny.
Johnny tried ignored Taeyong but apparently, the older male wasn’t having any of that today.
Taeyong reached over and pulled his shoulder before pushing him back against the wall.
