“If you are going to kill her then you will have to go through me cause I won’t let any one harm her not even you, dad” Ricardo stated fiercely.

“You really are going to defile me for that girl?” Stephan yelled starring at Ricardo who didn’t even bother to put down his gun.
“You gave me no choice” Ricardo said in return not flinching at all.
“Tch! Let’s go” Stephan said to his men before walking off leaving Ricardo, Flora and Giorgio in the torture room.
A pale looking Ricardo turned to Flora who had tears glistening her eyes.
“Are you okay” he asked caressing her cheek and slowly she gave a nod in return.
After getting his answer, he collapsed into her arms.
“Ricardo! Help me Giorgio” Flora cried out in agitation and quickly Giorgio carried him off on his back while a worried Flora followed suit.

<< Next Day >>
Ricardo open his eyes only to find himself in his room, he turned expecting to see Flora by his side but he was disappointed to see Athena.
Where could Flora be? Did his father have her taken again? He thought as he tried to seat up only for Athena to push him back on the bed.
“The doctor insist on you staying in bed”
“No. I need to see Flora, where is she?” Ricardo demanded.
“If you are worried that something has happened to her, you shouldn’t. After the scene you pulled last night, your father wouldn’t dare touch a hair on her head” Athena said.
“Where is she?”
“She went to her room to get change and so I am the one here with you. And you better stop asking me about Flora cause it’s annoying” Athena complain.
“Everything have always been annoying to you” he muttered as he turned away from her hoping Flora would arrive soon.

“I must say you are brave for having come to see me without the protection of Ricardo” Stephan said to Flora who stood idly in the room.
“You called me and I just can’t ignore you, big boss” Flora replied slowly.
“You must be wondering why I called you here right?” Stephan asked and before she could reply, Stephan knelt in front of her.
“What are you doing?”
“Just let me be since I want to ask…no, I want to beg you to do me this favour” he began slowly.
“Thanks to what happened last night, I realise that a day will come when I will have to let my son live his life but I can’t do that now. I still have a lot to teach him since he will be taking over when I retire which is why I don’t want any distractions for him”
“I know you love him and he does too, he wouldn’t have act that way just to protect you but can you do me a favour and stay away from him just until am sure that he can take over my legacy” he added still on his knees.
“I….”
“Don’t refuse me Flora, this is the request of a dying father. I don’t have much time left since it’s cancer and none of my sons know about it. Which is why I want Ricardo to be fully prepared so I can depart in peace. Keeping your distance will only be for a while…so please help this poor dying man” he said while Flora wondered what she should do.
“I will forever be in your debt if you can grant me this wish” he said as he took hold of her hand.
With the things he said and his pleading, Flora could hardly say no to him.
“Thank you. As soon as Ricardo can handle the clan on his own then you two can be together. Promise me that this discussion will stay between us” He demanded which got her nodding once again.
“She’s more gullible than I thought” Stephan said sometime later when Flora was gone and only Jake, his right hand man was with him.
“Make sure you keep an eye on that girl, if she makes contact with Ricardo, inform me immediately ” Stephan ordered.

Marissa got out of her room only to see Tony waiting for her. Memory of what took place between them last night came to mind and immediately she began to walk off, ignoring his presence.
“We’ve got to talk”
“I have nothing to say to a jerk like you” she said hotly.
“We both know that we are at fault. I had only came here last night to tell you that Dacio couldn’t make it when you began kissing me and…”
“And you should have corrected me. You should have stopped me!”
“And resist having a night with you, hell no!”
“You really are a shameless man” she yelled at him.
“Not as shameless as you since you kept Mõ@ning under me last night and…”
“Stop it! I don’t know why you are bringing this up when we’ve decided to forget about it. It was a mistake and it won’t ever…”
“No. I wouldn’t call it a mistake and neither will I let you think that it won’t happen again. You see my passionate girl after what happened between us last night, I think I want more ”
“Y…you are crazy” she stuttered as she move away from him.
“You are right. Am crazy, crazy about you”
“I…I will pretend I didn’t hear this, you pig!” She yelled before dashing off while Tony watched her.

While Red held onto the punching bag, Queenie kept hitting it, trying to let out her frustration while picturing Giorgio’s face on the bag.
“Is something bothering you?” Red asked on seeing the serious look on her friend face.
“Everything is bothering me,most especially that son of a gun. The worst part of it is that he keeps on getting angry at me whenever I tell him the truth” Queenie said as she stopped hitting the bag.
“And is this son of a gun called Giorgio?” Red asked which got Queenie flushing.
“Just try to be patient with him. He might be the most short tempered one amongst the three brothers but what I do know is that you are the only one who gets him back on track whenever he’s angry and that must mean that you mean a lot to him, so cheer up” Red said as she tickled Queenie who couldn’t help to smile.
“Red is obviously right. You are the only one who ever gets my brother” Dacio said from the door way startling the two girls.
“Didn’t they ever teach you not to eavesdrop?” Queenie admonish.
“My father did but I do what I want and besides are you done with her, I would like to have a word too ” He said starring at Red who had gone quiet ever since he’s arrival.
“Sure” Queenie said before leaving the room.
“You’ve been doing your best to avoid me which I don’t like”
“We were never close in the first place and…”
“What do you call the other night then? That’s the closest we’ve ever been with each other” he said making her remember the kiss she shared with him.
“It’s a thing of the past. Have completely forgotten about it and I suggest you do the same”
“I don’t think that will be possible. You know,I was perfectly sane before you showed up. Now all I do is think about you, I keep on wondering how it will feel to have you in my arms and on my bed and…”
“Stop it Dacio. What happened between us last night was just a mistake, it never should have…” She let out a gasp when he pulled her to him.
“I thought the same thing too. I stayed up all night trying to erase you from my mind but I can’t do that anymore, you’ve bewitched me you witch and there’s no way in hell that I will let you go” he said nuzzling her throat while Red found herself melting into his arms.
“Make me sane again” he let out softly.
“But I don’t know how to do that” Red said in return.
” Since you can’t make me sane, don’t expect me to leave you alone cause I won’t” he said before his lips claim hers.

“You need more rest, Ricardo” Athena complained as Ricardo set out to leave his room after staying in bed for three days.
“How can I rest when I haven’t seen Flora! You keep telling me that she’s fine and that she chose not to come see me when I know it’s a lie. Father must have done something which is why am going to check on her” he declared.
“Ricardo you…”
“Let him go, Athena” Stephan said as he walk into the room.
“What the hell did you do to Flora, I thought I made it…”
“I clearly remember how you stood up to that girl and I certainly won’t do anything to hurt her which was why I called her in some days ago to talk to her and she told me something very interesting” Stephan said as he took a seat, crossing his legs.
“What are you talking about?”
“Turns out that she’s not interested in you as you think. She made it clear to me that she’s in love with Giorgio”
“That’s a lie. Flora would never say that” Ricardo countered.
“If you don’t believe me, you might as well go and ask her. Why do you think she hasn’t come to check on you for days that’s because she’s just not interested” Stephan said coldly and not wanting to listen, Ricardo left the room in search of Flora.

As soon as Flora heard the door bell ring, she quickly went to answer.
“What are you doing here?” She asked the first thing that came to mind.
“To see you” he replied as he walk into the room.
“How are you?”
“Don’t you think it’s too late for you to ask that? When you didn’t show up for days, I thought that my father must have done something to you but the truth is that you didn’t care to check up on me”
“Ricardo I…” She stopped short when the bathroom door open to reveal Giorgio who was naked except for the towel drape around his torso.
“While I was worried sick about you, you were having fun with him?” Ricardo accused.
“It’s not what you think. I can explain ”
“Save your explanation. I now know where I stand with you” he said turning to leave but she held onto his hand.
“Ricardo, let me explain ”
“I don’t want to listen!” he yelled shocking Flora who let go of his hand.
“Do you want me to explain to him?” Giorgio asked.
“No. It’s best if we just leave things the way it is” Flora replied looking very pale.

<< Evening >>
Flora was heading to her room after hours of training on the shooting ground, for the rest of the day after the scene with Ricardo, she hasn’t seen him which has got her thinking about him.
Did she made the right decision by agreeing to stay away from him? She thought as she made a turn only to see two masked men.
She tried to run off but it was too late since they caught her.
Some time later, Flora woke only to be consumed by darkness and that’s all thanks to the black bindfold they used in covering her eyes.
“What’s going? Who are you people?”
“You made a promise to big boss but you failed to keep it” she heard someone say.
“What exactly did I do?”
“Didn’t you promise not to see Ricardo but this afternoon you did the opposite and now big boss is furious!”
“I did as he told me. Even though I didn’t want to stay away, I chose to do just that because I love Ricardo. I didn’t go looking for him, he came looking for me” Flora retorted.
“It’s too late to explain that since big boss have told us to kill you but instead we will be selling you. Bring her outside” he said to someone who came to pull her up.
“Where are you taking me? Let me go!” Flora said as she was pulled outside and thanks to the rope binding her hand, she couldn’t pull off the blind fold.
“How much would you pay for her?” She heard the man ask.
“You can’t sell me! If you do Ricardo will come looking for me and he will kill you all, he will…”
“Am willing to buy her at any price as long as she accepts me” on hearing that Flora stood still wondering if she heard that right.
She felt someone get close to her to loosen her blind fold.
Slowly she open her eyes to Ricardo gazing down at her.
She turned to see Tony and Leon smiling at her.
“Was it you two who threatened to sell me just now?” She asked which got them nodding.
“Sorry but boss asked us to do it and we had no choice but to comply” Tony replied cheekly.
“I did told him it was a bad idea, sorry if we scared you” Leon added and Flora turned a questioning gaze to Ricardo.
“I won’t apologise since you put me through hell but you should know that… I love you ” he said making Flora’s heart melt in an instant.
