David could be seen sitting alone in the white bench in his street. His phone rang again for the upteempth time and he finally decided to pick.
“Hello? Mom” he called dryly .
“Finally you’re picking your calls! Are you with Joshua?” Evelyn asked immediately.
“No I’m alone” he replied.
“What? By this time of the night? Where the hell are!!” Evelyn shouted with a worried look.
David rolled his eyes and leaned his head back so he could rest at the back of his chair.
“Mom I’m just outside can you quit it already” he groaned.
“David I can’t quit anything, come home now!”
“But..
“Now!!” Evelyn yelled.
David sighed and nodded.
“Fine mom you can rest assured, I’m on my way” he muttered and hung up before sighing and standing up.
While walking he began having this feeling like he’s been followed. He even stopped to look around but didn’t see anyone.
He shrugged and continue his movement but then someone came to block him.
“Who are you?” He asked immediately.
“Are you David Donovan? I heard you offended the young miss?” One of them asked.
David looked around with a confused look.
“Yes I’m David but what the Fuçk are you talking about? What young miss?” He asked.
“You’ll know soon” the solider replied and raised up his sleeves. David looked around and they were all looking at him, he immediately grabbed what was about to happen.
Without wasting any second, he took his heels but they chased after him and someone he managed to hide at the back of a car.
He brought out his phone and dialed Joshua’s number. Joshua picked up after few rings.
“Joshua, i think someone is after me right now and I don’t know who” he was breathing heavily as he spoke.
Joshua who was packing his things in his room paused and stood straight.
“What do you mean, where are you?” He asked with a worried tone.
“My street”
“Okay listen to me, don’t panic, I will come get you okay?” Joshua said softly but a loud noise was heard and David suddenly hung up.
“Hello? David!? David??” Joshua called out before dropping his phone on the bed and rushing out of the room.
He bumped into Carly outside and because he couldn’t hide the look of panic on his face, Carly grew worried and asked him what happened.
“Why do you look like that? Are you alright?” She asked with widened eyes.
Joshua nodded.
“I’m fine but David..” he bit on his lips
“What happened to David?” Carly inquired.
“He called me and he said people were chasing after him then he suddenly hung up” he explained.
“Oh my God is he okay? Did he tell you where he is?” She asked, feeling worried.
“Yes but you stay here and I will.
“I’ll go with you” she cut him off him and when Joshua was still starting at she went ahead to add a please.
Joshua sighed and nodded and they both left together.

David was talking to Joshua in the phone when someone grabbed his collar and lifted him up.
“d@mn you let go off me! Where do y’all soldiers came from and what do you want from me?” David looked angry and was at the same time trying to struggle.
“Beating kids up isn’t something we wanna do but you shouldn’t have offended our young miss” the soldier that was holding him said to him.
“Who is this damned young miss of yours! Let go off me!!” David bit on the soldier’s hands and the soldier released him immediately.
“You’ve gone to far” he used his other hand to hit David’s face, the hit cut his lips immediately.
“Follow young miss orders and beat the hell out of this spoilt brat” he ordered.
Another punch was landed on David, it sent him to the ground and when he tried standing, he got stepped on that sent him back to the ground again.
Then they began hitting him all over his body, the only thing David could see was blood when he passed out.

FALLONS’ MANSION.
Pinky was sitting on the couch when her phone began ringing. She checked the caller and rolled her eyes before picking.
“It better be good news” she muttered.
“It is, we’ve beaten him up”
Pinky smiled slowly.
“I hope he sustained a really big injury, I want him to be in the hospital for weeks” she said hardly.
“It’s done young miss” the soldier replied and Pinky hung up with a silly smile on her face.
“You shouldn’t have messed with me David, now you’ll rip with you sow” she muttered.
“What did you do to David?” The voice in front of her made her froze.
She looked up in fright to see Teddy standing in front of her with an unbelievable look on his face.
“I.. I…”
Teddy held her shoulders tight. “I asked what you did you David! What did you fùcking do!!” He shook her.
Pinky still kept quiet.
“Answer me!!” Teddy yelled.
“I just asked the soldiers to teach him a lesson” she replied.
“d@mn you Pinky!! Is that why I gave you the token? Did I ask you to hit anyone?” He yelled.
“And did you ask me not to hit anyone!? You gave me so I’d keep your stupid secret about you having a girlfriend from Grandpa so it’s my choice to do wh@tëver I want to do with it!!” She yelled back at him.
Unknown to them, Grandpa Fallon has arrived.
“What did I just hear you say? Who hit who and who’s dating who?” He asked.
Pinky and Teddy frozed as they looked at themselves.

When Joshua and Carly got to David’s street, they met David laying someone on the floor with blood everywhere.
“David!!” Carly screamed and ran towards him.
“Joshua, David!” She faced Joshua with a crying face. Joshua moved closer to David and with trembling hands, he touched Davis’s neck.
“He’s still alive, are you with your phone? Call the ambulance” he said softly.
Carly nodded and did as told and in no time, the ambulance arrived.
“We are his family, we’ll go with him” Joshua said and the doctors nodded, he entered and extended his hands for Carly to grab before pulling her inside.
Finally they got to the hospital, David was placed in a stretcher and was rushed inside the ward.
Carly was peeking through the window while Joshua borrowed her phone and went outside. No cap that he was going to call the police.
There’s no need for him to ask questions, he already has two suspect and that’s Pinky and Brad. Few minutes later, the police showed up.
“Hello officers I’d love for you to do an investigation on who did this to my brother” he didn’t waste any time with asking the police to do what he wants.
“We will work on it but before that, do you have any enemies or someone you suspect?” An officer asked.
“In this life I only have two enemies and that’s Pinky Fallon and Brad Langston” he said.
“Okay don’t worry Mr Joshua Donovan, we’ll meet them for question and we’ll look into this your brother’s case as soon as possible” the officers said before leaving.
Carly came out from the door where David was been treated and came to stand beside Joshua.
“Joshua” she called in tears.
Joshua turned to face her.
“Will David be fine?” She asked slowly.
Joshua smiled and nodded before hugging her shoulders and pulling her to himself.

“I said who hit who and who’s dating who?” Grandpa Fallon asked with an angry look this time around.
Pinky was already trembling from where she was sitting while Teddy clenched his fist tight.

Teddy moved forward and fell on his knees.
“Grandpa forgive me, it’s all my fault, I caused what happened, I was too reckless” he said with his head down.
Before Grandpa Fallon could say anything, there was a knock at the main door. The maids went to check who and it was the police.
“Miss Pinky Fallon, we’ll like to question you about the sudden attack of David Donovan” an officer said.
Pinky eyes widened. Did he just say David Donovan? Joshua Donovan? Are they brothers.
