◇KIARA POV◇
I stared blankly at the position Jarden just left, I was shocked and paralysed at the same time. I felt so stupid, I know I would have told him earlier maybe everything would have been better now.
“Harald didn’t tell me Jarden was going to here, I swear it” Sharon says. I nodded my head before hugging her.
” Enjoy your day” I whispered to her. She was already going on her honeymoon, and I did not want to spoil her day so I left. I went home.
The house was quiet, it was not usually quiet because of the noise Iris and Jon make.
” Mom” I called walking into her room. I saw her sitting on a couch with a book in her hands, it seemed like she was reading.
” Where are they, are they sleeping?” I asked but she stared at me blankly.
” Mom, where are my babies?” I exclaimed this time.
” Calm down Kiara,” she says.
” How can I calm down you are making me scared”. She sighed.
” Jon ran away when we were about to leave because he saw his uncle from school, that was what he said though. I tried to catch up with him but he was already gone he came back later with Jarden”
” Continue”.
” He followed us home, then took them with him”.
” Wtf Mom, you allowed him to take my kids?”.
” He is their father, Kiara, I had no right to tell him no” I cleaned the tears that were running out of my eyes.
” Did he tell them anything?” I asked.
” No, they were happy to spend time with him” Mom muttered.
I rushed to my room, and then quickly dialled Jarden’s number. He didn’t answer the first call. I tried calling him again and this time he answered.
” Jarden where are my kids?” I asked immediately.
” Our kids Kiara” he corrected. ” They are with me”.
” You took them without my permission”
” Do I need your permission to spend time with my kids?”
” Yes you do, you can’t just come to my house then take the kids that I took care of by myself for six years jarden, you don’t have the right”.
” But as the father I do have the right”
” You could at least tell me”.
” The same way you told me about them,” He said in sarcasm.
” Why are you doing this Jarden?”.
” See Kiara, we can’t be doing this through the phone, bye”.
” No no don’t….” he ended the call before I could complete my word.
I crashed on the floor, he was acting so cold towards me, he even called my name, he doesn’t normally do that. Was he that angry?
I couldn’t see that night, my mind kept on slipping to Iris and Jon. Where are they okay? Were they thinking about me? Oh my God, I was so worried. I knew nothing bad was going to happen to them but they didn’t know Jarden as their father, I had to tell them by myself and not him.
I went to Jarden’s office that morning, it was Sunday, and the kids did not have school, so Jarden probably brought them to his paint house.
” He doesn’t want any visitors,” the secretary said but I ignored her tapping on the elevator button.
” Sorry mam but that was his order”.
” Maybe you should stick that order into his @$$” The elevator door opened and I entered pressing the floor that I want to go to.
I walked into the paint house, everywhere was quiet but why?.
” Jarden” I called entering the living room.
” Jarden” I called again walking towards his room. I opened his room door.
My heart melted when I saw them lying on his bed. He was in between them holding two of them in his arms. They looked so cute that I almost forgot why I was there.
I did not want to wake them up instead I sat on the couch staring at all of them as they slept.
It was already an hour when Jarden decided to wake up. He was surprised when he saw me staring back at him.
He quietly removed their head from his chest before standing up.
” What are you doing here?” The question hurts me. The pain in my chest could testify.
” I came to see my kids” I managed to say even with a lump in my throat.
Jarden held my hands bringing me out of the room then quietly closed the door.
” You’ve seen them so…?” He asked by the time we were in the living room.
” I’m sorry Jarden, seriously. I wanted to tell you but I was scared”.
” Scared about what? That I wouldn’t want them? That would be an odd answer Kiara Because I loved them even though I didn’t know that I was their father, Kiara I lost six years with them, I get it was my fault but even at that you were still selfish you still kept the fact that I was their father away, I should be happy”. He spatted with so much venom in his voice
” No no, I know I was stupid and selfish I get it but I always wanted to tell you but I just couldn’t”
” You just couldn’t? Do you know how I found out about them? ” He asked walking closer to me but I nodded negatively.
” You left your phone on the nightstand when you wanted to bath, then a message came from your mom, saying Iris and Jon were angry at you for not calling them that night at first I was shocked like how come your kids were also called Iris and Jon and remember you told me your kids name were Aire and Gigi what a boring name, then I had to investigate, so I went to your gallery and guess what I saw Kiara, their pictures so many of them”.
” I was not that dumb to not know that they were my kids, it was so obvious, like Iris looked so much like my sister and her name was Iris and Jon looked so much like me when I was younger only someone dumb won’t know that they weren’t my kids now tell me Kiara how did you feel for lying to my face countless times”.
” I also remember when I asked you if I could see your kids you kept on making stupid excuses, oh they were with their father today, they were with their grandfather. I was patiently waiting for you to tell me every day, i gave you the chance so many times but damnit” By the time he was done talking tears were running down my face.
” I am sorry Jarden pls” I cried out.
” Sorry about what now?” He asks looking hurt.
” Pls don’t break up with me, I promise I won’t lie about anything”
” Lying is not something that you just promise to not do, it is something that comes naturally, I don’t think we can continue with this relationship Kiara, I think we can just try and take care of the kids together then just go our separate ways”
” No no no, Jarden pls, I love you pls Don’t do this” I held his hands and tried to hug him but he stopped me.
” Kiara no, you are just trying to make this worse for us, we can’t be lying to each other, especially about our kids, I love you yes I do but I don’t think we would work”
” We will try just don’t leave me, I’m scared pls Don’t” I cried out holding his hands again.
“It’s over Kiara “.
It was almost like my heart stopped working, tears kept rushing out of my eyes. İt was so painful, so painful. I know what I did was wrong but I didn’t expect Jarden to do this. I thought he loved me.
He removed my hands from his walking towards the elevator. The sharp pain that hit me next to my abdomen made me whimper in pain.
” Jarden” I whispered slowly but he didn’t look instead he continued walking. The next thing I saw next made me scream out his name.
” Jarden”
” Kiara, I told…” He paused to see the blood coming down my leg. He rushed to me holding my hands
” What’s happening?” I asked looking at him.
” Jarden what’s happening to me?” I asked again fresh tears now Rolling down my cheeks.
” Calm down, I will call the ambulance now,” he said dialling 911.
” Jarden pls…ahhhhhh” I screamed out when the pain hit me again.
” My baby”. ” No no no no no Jarden our baby” I looked at him while holding my stomach.
” Don’t worry our baby is gonna be alright” Jarden tried to assure me.
” Are you sure?” I asked him. Jarden nodded holding me in his arms. The way he looked at me says otherwise. What Happened to my baby? Pls pls no.
I was becoming weak and my eyes were slowly closing.
” Keep your eyes open baby, don’t close it” he said pecking my sweaty forehead.
” Kiara” he called my name this time.
I couldn’t help it, the pain in my abdomen was just too much.
” Mommy” was the last thing I heard before I blanked out.
