✯XAVIER’S HOUSE✯
A maid brought a jug of fresh orange juice and some glasses to the garden.
Nanny Diana,Mrs Xuan and Catherine were sitting there but only Mrs Xuan and Nanny Diana did the talking since Catherine was absent minded
“What’s wrong dear?” Nanny Diana noticed how she frowned from time to time
“I’m just thinking Nanny, that’s all” she smiled softly at her
“Could it perhaps have anything to do with the results?” Mrs Xuan chipped in
Mrs Xuan already knew what transpired between her and Anderson and the secret affair they had with Xavier since the news had spread like wild fire.
What was surprising was that she didn’t h@të her or blame her for destroying their family like Millicent does,she understood everything ,though she was mad about it at first.
“Yes mother,what if this child turns out to be Anderson’s? What if Xavier h@tës me after that? I know Anderson would torment me and try to use the child as his pawn to keep me close to him!” she groaned
“Dear ,stop stressing it’s not good for the baby” Nanny Diana held her hand and she sighed
“You have to trust Xavier,you two have come this far and I’m sure he wouldn’t let go of you just like that” Mrs Xuan smiled at her
Catherine looked at the both of them and nodded slowly
“Mom?” Catherine stared at Mrs Xuan
“Yes child?” Mrs Xuan stared at her too
“I’m sorry for everything, I’m here venting and you’re facing bigger problems,what you’re going through is so much and—”
“Child…” she smiled “Everything will be fine,I might not have the support of the rest of the family but I got you guys and that’s all that matters” she held both her hands and Catherine threw herself on her hugging her tight
“Awwww” Nanny Diana cooed and clapped her hands “Isn’t this cute?”
“Aww what about me?” Patrick came out of nowhere and joined in the hug making them laugh
They let go of each other after a while and Catherine looked sideways before looking at him
“Where’s Xavier?” she stared at him and he cleared his throat nervously
“Boss is…at a meeting” he grinned
“Ohhh okay” she looked down sadly “I… I’ll be in my room” she said softly and left
“O…Kay can I have some juice,ladies?” he winked at Nanny Diana who immediately threw her hat at him and he laughed

Rachel was sitting in her office twirling on the office chair and sipping a glass of wine when one of her men came in
“How dare you come in without knocking!?” she snapped and pointed a gun at him
“My apologies, there’s a man outside demanding for your presence,he says he’s your dearest friend ma’am” he said avoiding her gaze
“I’ll be there” she gulped down the last content of her drink and he bowed and left
After a while she came out but there was no sign of her ‘visitor’
“Where is he?” she looked at the man who called her
“In the training grounds” he said and she went there immediately
When she got there she saw a tall man standing there watching her recruits train.
“You finally came,I thought you were hiding” the man said without looking at her
“Who are you!? Turn around!” she took slow steps towards him
“Why war?” he chuckled and turned around
“You!?” she took two steps back
“Yes me” he chuckled and walked towards her “I just wanted to pop in and see how you guys are doing and it seems like you got the hang of everything” he pointed at her training recruits
“Aren’t you scared that I’d kill you in my territory?” she hid her fear and acted all brave
He sneered and laughed out “Your little puppets don’t scare me,instead they’re scared of me” he smirked
“You’re evil and—”
“A devil? Of course sweetheart what’s my name? ” he stood behind her and pulled her waist towards him and she held her breath as her backside collided with him “Now I want you to listen very carefully Mi amor,I won’t hesitate to end you when you come near my business I swear” he gritted his teeth and dug his nails into her skin
She hissed in pain and closed her eyes for a second,her men stood up and approached them when they saw the distress in her face and thought she needed help
“You cost the old man millions, I’m in charge now and I h@të thieves” he said sternly and let go of her
She turned to him with reddened eyes “We won’t rest until we end you and take what’s rightfully ours!” she spat
He suddenly grabbed her throat and lifted her off the groaned,her men didn’t waste time as they pointed their guns at him
“Put her down now!” one of her men shouted amongst the others
“Ggrgh l..l..et go of me!” she choked and he let her go and she fell on the ground coughing hard
“Boss are you alright?” his right hand man walked slowly towards them
She coughed and tried to catch her breath,unable to talk..she signalled them to put away their guns
“Mi amor” he squated to her level and held her chin up “Tell your boss that Xavier Xuan said hi ” he smirked at her and stood up and left
Everyone had stopped what they were doing a while ago to watch and they were baffled that the mighty Rachel can appear so small before this unknown man.
“Who is that?” Jasmine looked at Felicia who was watching in awe
“Xavier Xuan,the most feared man on this city”
“I’m not sure about the ‘most feared’ part” she chuckled
“He’s the one that killed your father” Felicia turned to look at her
“What?..” the smile she had plastered off immediately “Why didn’t you tell me before!” she shouted angrily “I would’ve shot him right there!”
“Jasmine calm down,just a little bit more time and soon he’ll be kissing your feet begging for mercy now just relax” Felicia held her
“Don’t tell me to calm down!” she pushed Felicia’s hands off her and left her there

It was in the evening already and dinner was prepared but no one showed up as usual.
Ever since what happened the family became distant to each other.Mr Xuan was always ready to jump at Miriam’s commands while Anderson chased after Sofie.
Millicent walked downstairs slowly and tried to call Tyson again but it led her to voicemail
She sighed when she saw that no one was present at dinner and she sat alone.
After a while the old couple came to eat too and took their seats
“Millicent, where are the others?” Grandpa Paul looked at her
“Grandpa I have no idea—”
“Go and call everyone, now!” he thundered and she nodded before rushing upstairs
After a while she came back with Anderson and Sofie trailing behind her
“Good evening” they greeted simultaneously and the old couple just nodded
“Careful now” Mr Xuan held Miriam’s hand as they walked slowly downstairs to the dining hall and took their seats
“Good,from today onwards we have dinner like a family,just like old times” Grandpa Paul pointed out “Enjoy your meal everyone”
They began to dish for themselves and grandma Daisy glared at Sofie and her mother
“Anderson,the day after tomorrow I want you to he present at the company as I will officially step down and hand over the company to your brother” Grandpa Paul said as he chewed on his food
“But grandpa,you still want to do that after what he did?” Anderson fumed
“This is not about personal feelings or gains son,this is business ” he shrugged
Sofie was munching on the food like there was tomorrow
“Sofie! Where are your manners!” Miriam scolded
“Sorry..” she wiped her mouth “This baby eats a lot mother”
“Talking about a baby, Anderson don’t you think it’s time you did the right thing?” Miriam frowned at him
“What are you talking about?” he paused eating and looked at her
“That you should marry her since you chose to be with her just after the separation of you and that…wife of yours” Grandpa Paul chipped in
“She’s Catherine,not ‘that wife of yours’ Paul” Grandma Daisy glared at him and he rolled his eyes
“I… it’s too soon! And …and we still have to do the partenity test tomorrow!” he defended
“She’s pregnant!? And you didn’t tell us!?” Grandma Daisy snapped
“I wanted to tell you all once the results are out!”
“I lost my appetite..” Sofie suddenly said and went upstairs
“That is good news son! I don’t care who’s child is it between the two of you I just want a grandchild!” Grandma Daisy squealed
Miriam gave her a deadly glare and scoffed

Xavier walked tiredly into the house and a maid ran to take his things.
He loosened his tie and was about to go upstairs when he heard laughter in the living and he went there
“Good evening” he kissed both his mother and Nanny Diana’s forehead
“You’re back early” Nanny Diana mocked
“True,he normally comes home past midnight” his mother added and he chuckled
“Where is she?” he looked around
“Upstairs, she’s refusing to eat..” Mrs Xuan answered
“But we asked Dora to make some chicken soup for her” Nanny Diana chipped in
“Okay” he sighed and went to the kitchen and met Dora busy stirring the pot
He went to take an apron and wore it “I’ll take it from here” he looked at her
“Ohhh! Good evening sir” she smiled at him
He hummed in response and turned off the stove and took out the ingredients of making a pasta soup instead
“Umm sir,what about that chicken soup?” she stared at him confusingly
“You can have it” he simply said and she rushed to take a bowl and dished up for herself before sitting on the counter
“Best night ever” she grinned and ate in a haste while blowing air to cool it down and slurped as she ate it
Xavier looked at her in a frown and she stared at him
“Ummm…” she grinned awkwardly
“Do you mind?” his frowned deepened
“Ohh…sorry I got carried away” she grinned and scratched the back of her neck
He continued with making the soup and when he was done he dished up in a bowl and put it on the tray with a spoon
“Sir,when I’m sick too will you so that for me?” she smiled at him
He looked at her and narrowed his eyes and she clamped her mouth shut
“Well is any of it remaining in the pot?”
Xavier glared at her “Stop acting all greedy on my soup!” he scolded and left
“He’s the greedy one,the soup isn’t for him to begin with so it’s not his” she hissed and he heard her and stopped on his tracks
“You’re fired!” he said before leaving
She gasped and froze on her spot to process on what he just said and ran after him once it sunk into her mind
“Sir! Sir wait! You can’t do that! My mother is sick—” he shut the door on her face and she gasped and fanned herself
“Why are you bothering him?” Flora,her twin sister said behind her “stop your melodrama you know he’s playing with you” she frowned
“Are you spying on me?” Dora turned to her
“No,but you love stepping on his toes and when he reacts to it you turn to a crybaby,stop it” she hissed and left her there
“Wh@tëver!” she scoffed and placed her ear on the door “what are they doing in there? Are they eating the soup or making babies? I can’t hear anything” she groaned and left
IN THE BEDROOM››
Xavier put the tray on the nightstand and looked at Catherine who laid still pretending to be asleep
He smiled and sat next to her
“Mi amor,i know you’re awake” he leaned in closer to her and pecked her cheek
Catherine blushed and opened her eyes “Hi..” she bit her lip
“Come on..” he made her sit up and placed the tray on her laps
She sat up and looked at the soup “I’m not hungry” she whined
“I’m not taking no for an answer” he said and took the spoon to feed her “say ahh” he held up the full spoon in front of her mouth
She pouted and shook her head
“I’ll Fuçk you so hard right now if you don’t” he said sternly and she opened her mouth immediately and he fed her “Good girl”
He fed her half of the soup and soon she complained of being full and he put the tray back on the nightstand
“Please massage my feet, they’re sore” she whined and he stared her
“You’re only eight months away and you’re already demanding for foot massages” he muttered and she looked at him
“Are you saying that I’m pretending?” she frowned
“I never said that ” he placed her feet on his laps and massaged them
He massaged the other foot after a while,his brows were furrowed as he moved his hands on her foot.
“Mi amor?” he called her but she didn’t give him a reply and he looked up found her breathing Steadily with her eyes closed
He smiled and put her feet back under the sheets and stood up to change into his night wear
