Chapter Twenty
“Put me down you brute!”She yelled at them. Hitting the big man who carried her.
“Not a chance Missy”the man replied as he kept on walking.
“Am pregnant and the father of my child is someone important. If anything should happen to the child. He will make you pay in blood”She added again as she tried to make them stop.
Seems like it worked this time, because they let her down like she want.
Taking the chance. Hilary hit the man who had been carrying her hard on the face and began to run off.
But she didn’t make it far because they caught her.
“Let me go! Let me go!”She yelled as she bit one of them in his hand.
“Stop acting like this and just come with us”the second man reply.
“She is being a handful, I suggest we knock her out”the first one stated.
“No. Don’t knock me out! I will come with you”Hillary said quickly.
She would go with them willingly just so they won’t knock her out.
She had once been in this situation and that was six years ago when Richard had asked his two guards to watch over her.
The guards who had had dirty thoughts towards her. She would prefer to be sober and awake to fight them if necessary than to be unconscious and putty in their arms.
She followed them to the car and while one sat with her at the back. The other took the front seat.
They were well out of the coast when Hilary began to talk them.
“Where are you taking me?”She asked.
“Somewhere”The guy with her replied.
“Where is the somewhere?”She asked again
“You will get to see it soon” he replied again.
“If you are abducting me to get money then let me tell you that you just failed because am as poor as a pauper”Hillary said to them.
“But you had said the father of your child is someone important. If he gets to know that you have been abducted then he will be willing to pay a trillion just to get you back right”The one driving said.
“Trillion? Is that what you are going to demand?”She asked.
“Yes. It seems fair from Richard Watson. If he wants to save his wife and child then he will have to pay a trillion”The driving guy replied.
“Am not his wife. So stop dreaming that he would try to save me”She yelled at them.
“But you are expecting his child and let me tell you that a man knows how to protect his family. He will surely pay the sum we want” the guy beside her reply.
“He won’t! I won’t let you rascal have your way. I will rather die than to let you leech off his money”
“That’s no way to talk Missy! You might be beaten” the driving guy said.
” Then beat me! I won’t let you have your way.you rascals!”She yelled as she tried to open the door to get out but the guy beside her pulled her back.
“You promised you would behave. Do you want to be knocked out?”The driving guy asked.
“No! Let me go. I will behave”She said to the one holding her and he did let her go.
They drove for hours and Hillary didn’t say a Word to them.
She kept on thinking about what to do? How she would escape ? How she would get a phone and call for help? What will happen if Richard doesn’t show up with the money they demand for?
The thought of dying with her child in her horrified her. It seemed like a nightmare she didn’t want to have or think about.
She was still in thought when the car stopped by a beach house.
Some how the beach house looked familiar to her. Although it has been remodeled. She had a sense of de ja vu
“If you will come down Missy”The driving guy said as he opened her door.
She got out of the car starring at the two big brute beside her.
“What’s this place?”She asked.
“You will have to go in and find out”The second guy reply.
“I still don’t think this is right. Your abducting a pregnant woman in broad daylight. My family would be worried and my baby father….he won’t let you two live. So just let me go”She said trying to cajole them.
“Am sorry Missy but we got orders to bring you here”The guy who had been driving said.
“From who? Who is trying to abduct a pregnant woman just for money?”She questioned them angrily.
“Me”A voice said behind her and she turned to see Richard starring at her.
“What’s going on?”She questioned starring at the three men.
“I did order them to bring you here and your wrong in saying they abducted you. They simply followed my orders in bringing my wife to me”He replied as he walked towards them. Giving them a well done smile.
“Thanks for everything Frank and Jack”He said as he tapped their back.
“She is a real handful boss”Frank who had been the one driving said.
“I got marked by her today”Jack replied as he showed where Hillary had bite him.
“She’s a bit sassy but what can I do. She is my wife”Richard replied jokingly as he gave them both a tip.
“You can relax now Missy. We won’t be asking for a trillion but instead we will be telling you to give our boss a chance. He really is a nice man”Frank added as they both head back to the car.
“We will be guarding from a distance as you have requested boss”Jack added as they drove off.
Richard stared at Hilary waiting for her to say to something but she never did.
“Am sorry if you……..”He didn’t get to finish his words because she slapped him on his cheek.
“Take it easy” Richard said as she kept on hitting him.
It wasn’t until he held both her hands up that she stopped.
“Do you know how scared I was? Do you know what I was thinking when those men came to take me?”
“I kept on thinking about your child? I couldn’t die like that? I was so frightened that I wouldn’t get to see my loved ones before something bad happens to me”
“I was so worried and it turns out that it was you who sent them. I ought to kill you for this”She said as she moved towards him to punch him but he held both her hands and pulled her into his arms. Hugging her tight.
“Am sorry. I didn’t think of how scared you might be. All I just thought of was bringing you here”He replied as he held her to him.
“I promise to make it up to youHillary”He stated firmly as he held her close.
“What good will that do”She muttered as she pulled back to stare at him.
“I already told you to stay away. I already told you that I h@të you and you left. Why all this?”She asked.
“Am not someone who give up ,Hillary. My leaving was only temporary. You are my wife and your place is right next to me. I won’t let what ever emotion you feel towards me supercede that. Your mine and I won’t give up”he stated possesively.
