It wasn’t a dream, she was meeting face to face with her favorite tiktoker.
“Are you done? Can I go in?” Bonnie asked.
“Huh?… I mean yes. Come in.” She made way for her to get in.
It was as she walked in that Jasmine noticed her luggages.
“Uhmm… are you a student of Stanford?” She asked and Bonnie nodded.
“Yesss!” She screamed and quickly sealed her lips.
“Leave that to me, you should take a nap,,, I’ll help you arrange your things.” Jasmine said walking to her.
“You sure?” She asked.
“Yeah.”
“Okay,,, are you the only one in this room?” Bonnie asked as she sat on the couch began to take off her trainers.
“Nah… we’re two, you added we’re now three.” She replied opening the luggage.
“I don’t see the other around.”
“She went for lectures, her name is Hattie.” She said and Bonnie hummed.

BJ’S RESTAURANT***
After changing into his working clothes he walked towards the kitchen.
“Hey Maya.” He said to the girl in the kitchen, she was looking furious as she mumbled some words he couldn’t hear.
“Maya.” He called again but she didn’t answer him, she just continued wrapping the food in anger.
“What’s wr…”
“Leave me Kelvin, I don’t want to talk to anyone!” She yelled, placing the food in a nylon, she left the kitchen.
“Kai, what’s wrong with her?” He asked the other girl in there.
“She’s indeed stupid you know. She’s angry because VD is in Stanford. She’s obviously blaming herself for being poor.” She said nonchalantly.
“Which VD?” He asked in disbelief.
“Which other VD do you know apart from actor VD, every girl’s crush.” She said.
“Are trying to tell me you haven’t heard? It’s all over the internet.” She added.
‘No! No! This can’t be. If this happens, then he was surely gonna lose Daisy… Daisy is such a beauty that no man can resist.’ He thought.
He quickly brought out his phone from his pants pocket to check if it was true.
Immediately he logged into TikTok, the first video he saw was the one of Vlad getting down from his BMW.
Screams and shouts of ladies could be heard in the background. He went over to the comment section.
“No! No! This can’t be.” He muttered as his eyes cut a particular comment which was getting alot of views and replies.
“What’s wrong Kelvin? Why do you look worried?” Kai asked, but he didn’t respond, his eyes still scrolling through the comment.
? Did you guys notice the weird girl, seriously!
? Me too. I wonder the same.
? She’s an obsessed fan of VD, I guess.
? Obsessed my foot, she seems to
be more than a fan to me, maybe she knows him somewhere or they had a thing in common.
? Even if she’s obsessed, couldn’t she curb it. I mean, she’s not the only one crushing on VD.
He hoped it wasn’t Daisy, they haven’t met, have they? He thought.
The only way to find out is by calling Daisy or finding the video of the girl they were talking about. There must be a video of the scene.
“Kelvin!!” Kai yelled making him snap out of his thought.
“What’s wrong Kelvin? Your mood changed at the mention of VD.” She asked.
“I… it’s no…”
“Hey you two! what are you doing over there when we have customers to attend to?” They heard their boss voice from behind.
She walked into the kitchen to meet them.
“What’s with you? Aren’t you guys ready to work today?!” She scolded.
“We are sorry ma’am, we’ll attend to them right away.” Kelvin said.
“Better!” Mrs. BJ huffed and went out of the kitchen.
Kai shook her head and went out as well, carrying a menu along with her.
Kelvin went out as well, also carrying his own menu. He went to attend to the first customer he saw.
In a twinkle of an eye, night showed it’s face. He left the restaurant as it was his closing time, he flagged down a cab and got in.
He arrived home in no time, he paid the cab driver and alighted the cab.
He began walking towards the house which was few metres away from where the cab parked.
He got there, opened the door and walked in. He dropped his bag on the couch.
He walked towards the kitchen to get himself a glass of water.
“Kelvin?! Is that you?” He heard his mom’s asked from inside.
“Yeah mom! I’m home.” He replied in a loud voice and drank the glass of water.
He came out of the kitchen to meet his mom in the living room.
“Mom, you’re here. How are you?” He asked her.
“What can I say? Staying alone in this house is as boring as hell, I’ve slept for six times today. Tch! I’m Füçking tired.” His mom complained tiredly.
“Mom.” He called as he sat beside her on the couch. He placed his hands around her shoulders and said:
“You know you’re not properly healed. I can’t let you go out just yet, you need to recover completely before I can consider your freedom.” She sighed for the umpteenth time that day.
“Hmmm…” she gave a long breathe as she stared tiredly at him.
“You have the TV, you can watch your favorite soap.” He suggested.
“It’s shows once in a day you know.” She muttered sadly.
He sighed.
His mom is the only family he has, his dad died when he was 12, since then they’ve been fending for themselves until his mother had that accident.
Good thing he was already writing his final high school exams. He began working to raise money for his mother’s surgery. His mother surgery was the reason why he couldn’t get into college this year.
Not like he wasn’t brilliant enough to grab the scholarship but because he couldn’t leave his mom all alone in her condition. She couldn’t walk properly.
“Ohh… uhmm… I’ll be right back mom. Let me quickly go and freshen up.” He told her and she nodded.
He picked up his bag from the sofa and left the living room.

She came out of the bathroom already dressed in her nighties. She frowned seeing the room light off.
Huh? She can’t sleep with light on. She walked towards the switch and turned on the light.
“The Füçk! Who turned on the light?” Vlad asked laying on the bed with his eyes closed.
“Sorry, I did… I can’t sleep with lights off.” She said slowly, so that she won’t stutter.
He opened his eyes frantically and turned swiftly. He looked at Daisy who had head down waiting for his reaction as she sat on her bed.
“So? I can’t sleep with lights on.” He said loudly.
“Now turn off the lights.” He commanded.
