One week later and Lila was glowing as her mum held unto her hand in the room she stayed away from the crowd that had come for their wedding.
“Mum” she called her eyes teary. She was nervous, anxious and full of anxiety. “Mum”She called again while fidgeting and her mum smiled.
“You don’t want to spoil your pretty face with tears Lila”she said” I have longed for this day. I am glad I woke from my coma. You don’t have to cry”
“I’m so happy” Lila sniffed. She wiped away the tears that had found its way out of her eyes and then hugged her mum. “Thank you mother. For being here for me on this day. I am…..”
“It’s time Lila”she was interrupted by Sam’s voice. Sam grinned at her and she smiled genuinely.
Her mother pulled away from the hug and she squeezed her hand assuringly. Lila nodded before going over to met Sam.
“Sam,”she cried.
“C’mon Lila. Don’t make me emotional”Sam held her hand smiling.
“I never thought I would fall in love with a guy who kidnapped me”she cried.
“Well I’m glad you made that choice to stay with them back then”Sam smiled. She couldn’t just curb the smile that curved on her lip. She was genuinely happy.
Lila carefully dabbed away her tears so she wont have to tamper with her makeup and then, they walked out of the room and proceeded to the open arena where her mother had to walk her through the green carpeted aisle to meet Lannon by the alter.
She took in a last nervous deep breath and finally they took slow and steady steps entering. The whole crowd turned to look at the bride and the mother holding her firmly.
Lila walked firmly not wanting to show her nervousness, as her wedding gown swept the carpet aisle beautifully. By the both side of the aisle was all their friend and well wishers who had come to celebrate with them. On the left was most of her mothers friends and relatives, then just few of her classmates from highschool. On the right was Lannon’s business partners. He didn’t have a family left and even if he had, he wasn’t ready to invite them over. He already had so much of betrayal. So he invited only his trusted business partners and they were quite many. The arena was filled with nature. The alter were the priest and Lannon stood was decorated with flower. Lila was a lover of nature so they had it decorated in her style.
She wore a wedding gown made by the best seamstress in Florida. Her hair had been styled in a very comfortable bridal style on which her veil rested. She held a bouquet of rose flower in her hand and soon she approached the alter.
Lannon stared at her in his amazing tuxedo suit and his permed hair. He was amazingly handsome.
“Love”he smiled once Lila got to him.
She blushed beneath her veil and stood properly, recounting all the times when she had wanted Lannon dead. When she had thought she was better off without him. How she got jealous at the gala and ran away. Her painful moments at the warehouse. When he had given her that silly contract to sign and all the awful things he had done to her back then. Now she’d come to appreciate all of it. She was indeed glad.
The priest began in no time and went through with the usual procedure and at once they were joined husband and wife.
“You may now kiss the bride”the priest said.
Carefully, Lannon unveiled his beautiful wife and stared at her looking ever beautiful and then, their lips locked, so did their hearts and souls and bodies.
For they were officially united to stay and be with each other forever and ever. A story of true love with a very torturing difficulty but they sailed through it together.
Sam stood afar and watched, so did Ivory and even when Sam tried taking beautiful pictures of the newly wed, her hands fidgeted and she cried happily for her bestfriend. Who would have thought there would ever be such day! What true love can do! An everlasting love!
