ENCHANTED KINGDOM**
Jayce,the royal healer walked into the king’s chamber as soon as the guards opened the doors
“My lord” he bowed and the king nodded and offered him a seat
“Jayce,how are you doing my friend?” the king smiled
“I’m well,how are you?” he forced a smile
“Not really good,the disappearance of Zahra is taking a toll on me” he sighed
“That’s why I came here,to tell you that she has been found” Jayce looked at the king
“Where is she?” the king sprang to his feet
“She’s in her chamber—”
The king didn’t let him finish as he ran out and Jayce ran after him like a lost puppy
They both arrived at princess Zahra’s room and the guards hesitated to open the door and the king gave them a deadly glare and they quickly opened
They met her sleeping soundly while wearing a dirty ripped dress
“She wrecked havoc in the human world,she killed a total of thirty six people my lord and fortunately we managed to cover her tracks,these humans can be quite smart” Jayce said lowly behind the king
“Hmm” the king nodded and went out with Jayce trailing behind him
As soon as the door closed Princess Zahra opened her eyes and sighed before shutting back her eyes
Princess Zahra was the daughter of King Austin and Queen Hailey,she was born a month after Hades was born
When Hailey was pregnant with her,her tummy was too big that that everyone thought it was a boy,an heir to the throne
She was afraid of nobody, except Hades who always put her in her place.
Zahra cared less about their reputation and image but for herself and her happiness,she turned out to be reckless and ÇOçky,she flaunted her beauty and status to anyone and abused her power just like her mother
“My lord,I have to be on the way, I have something to attend to” Jayce interrupted the king who was deep in thoughts
“I don’t know what has gotten into that child,what if she had run wild in the human world,unable to control herself!!?” King Austin suddenly snapped
“My lord we make sure to train everyone and teach them how to control their urges and inner beasts and demons,You also have Thaddeus on your side to help you when I’m not around” Jayce pointed out
“I trust you,I just can’t help but get anxious” the king sighed
“Everything will be okay” Jayce reassured
King Austin sighed and nodded
“Have a good day king” he bowed and excused himself

ARCEA FACILITY**
The door opened and the man Esmeralda met earlier in the restrooms whose name was Brandon walked in
“Theo I—” he paused when he saw him laying unconscious on the floor and he diverted his gaze back to Esmeralda
“I’m sorry I—”
“You! What did you do to him!?” he glared at Esmeralda
“It was an accident! He tried to…to… everything happened so quickly and all I wanted was to protect myself and..and—”
Brandon rushed to her and hugged her
“Shhh it’s okay,he won’t hurt you anymore” he rubbed her back and she bursted into hot tears
“He tried to R@PE me..a…and you believe me right?” she looked at him with teary eyes
He nodded and looked at Theo on the floor and let go of Esmeralda,he walked up to him and squatted to feel his pulse
“H… He’s dead, there’s no pulse” he looked at Esmeralda
“Ohh god!” she covered her mouth in shock and tears streamed down her face
“Listen” Brandon stood up “Go and wash your face and go home, I’ll take care of this”
“What! No we have to call the police and let them kn..know what—”
“Hey Hey,listen..” he walked up to her and held her “We can’t call the police you’ll go to jail, don’t forget you came here on your own and nobody will believe you”
“No they have to!” she shook her head and stood still like something just crossed her mind
“What is it?” Brandon stared at her
“T..The footage” she looked up and spotted a CCTV footage “The footage,we can show it to them and it’ll show that I’m innocent!”
“It doesn’t work,the camera needs to be replaced,just listen to me and go home and take a bath, don’t tell anyone anything I’ll take care of this,trust me alright” he hugged her and she nodded and hugged him tighter before they pulled away from each other
Esmeralda stared at Theo’s unconscious body before running out
She kept looking back as she rushed to the elevator and when she finally reached it she breathed out
As soon as she was out of the building she hailed a cab home,her father kept calling on the way home and she put her phone on silent and ignored it
“Thank you” she paid the driver when they reached home and she rushed in
She didn’t waste time and threw her bag on the floor before running to take a quick shower
Esmeralda washed her hands first,she grabbed the soap and opened the tap and washed her hands,she washed her shaky hands and scrubbed them hard till they were red
She suddenly started seeing blood on her hands and the tap water turning to blood and she cried and turned it off and grabbed a towel to wipe off the blood and was surprised to see no trace of blood on her hands again or blood stains on the towel
Her mind took her back to what happened at the office and she quickly took off her clothes and got under the shower and turned it on
Water splashed on her body and mixed with her tears as she exploded into another round of tears while hugging her knees to her chest

“Sir you called for me?” a man wearing a formal suit walked into Brandon’s office
“Call the others and get rid of that body” he puffed out smoke and threw an access card to Theo’s office to the man and he caught it swiftly
“Where should we dispose the body sir? Or should we burn it?”
“Throw him out of the city in the forest and I’ll take care of the rest” he took a glass full of brandy and gulped everything in one go
“Yes Sir” the man turned to leave
“Listen” he said and the man stopped in his tracks “Get me the CCTV footage of that office,from yesterday till today”
“Right away sir” he nodded and left
Brandon leaned back on his seat and took couple of drags from his cigarette until a message popped up on his phone and he took it instantly and opened the message,a CCTV footage of Theo struggling with Esmeralda came in view and he smirked and cropped Esmeralda’s face before taking a screenshot
He sent the screenshot to someone
“Find out everything about her” he texted and attached the photo to it before pressing send “We’ll meet soon,my love” he smiled dreamily and leaned back on his seat

ESME’S APARTMENT;10PM
Esmeralda reached for her phone that was ringing for the umpteenth on the nightstand and answered without looking at the caller ID
“What!” she answered grumpily
“Easy tiger!” Kenneth’s spoke “I just wanted to check how everything went with the …you know, you’ve been ignoring my texts and calls all day I’m worried about you girlie!”
“Sorry,I just had a long day” she muttered
“So?”
“So umm, Everything went..just fine and I’m waiting for them to get back to me” she said softly and sat up
“I don’t know why you’re so obsessed with working in that facility Esme,I mean you’re a doctor for goodness sake and i thought you said you were happy there and the salary is good” Kenneth ranted and she rolled her eyes
“Kenny you know I told you why,right? By the way I had a long day…can I please go back to sleep now?” she sighed tiredly
“Fine!” he huffed and hung up without a warning
Esmeralda groaned and threw herself back and covered herself fully

ENCHANTED KINGDOM**
IN THE MORNING★★
The guards bowed respectfully as Prince Hades came out of the royal Horse cart with his mother,Tamara
He held her hand and they walked in slowly,Tamara swallowed a lump that was stuck in her throat as she looked around the palace,for thousands of years she has never set foot in this palace after they were attacked and had to run out for their lives
“Mother..” Prince Hades pecked her forehead “It’s okay” he squeezed her hand gently and she nodded
“Mothet,I wish you were here” she said inwardly thinking about Sabrina
Sabrina died five years after Hades was born and that was the most difficult time for Tamara
She smiled as she thought about the things Sabrina taught her to do,to be brave and always keep her head high and teaching her how to use her gift and accept it
★FLASHBACKS★
Tamara watched as King Austin turned and left,she turned her head and looked up
She was about to close her eyes when Sabrina returned with the baby,he was wearing woolen overall and wrapped in a clean warm cloth
“Time to feed the child and remember to hold him well,closer to your chest for a mother and baby to bond,also for him to be able to suckle well” Sabrina smiled and gave Tamara the baby and she held him gently and lowered the straps of her dress
Her swollen Brë@št came in view and she held the baby closer,the baby opened his mouth when he felt her N?pplë on his cheek and reached for it to suckle
He didn’t waste time as he suckle and made slurping sounds sounds
“Ouch, it’s painful” Tamara groaned silently
“Don’t worry it’s only for the first time” Sabrina laughed
.
“He’s beautiful” Tamara smiled while staring at the baby “H..His hair,w..why is it this dark?”
“I know he is, he’s a special one” she smiled and watched as the baby suckled “What are you going to name him?”
“I…I haven’t thought about it” Tamara looked at her
Silence fell over them for a little while
“His name would be Raven” Tamara said
“Why Raven mother?”
“I named him that because of his hair, it’s a name for the black big crow that is most powerful” she smiled
“Mother why would you name him—”
“I told you he’s special” Sabrina smiled and prepared the wooden small bed on the corner of the room that they had made together,it was decorated beautifully with a net hanging from above to cover the baby from mosquitoes “Let me” Sabrina took baby Hades who was fast asleep and placed him on his bed before covering him up well
“Thank you” Tamara looked at her
“Get some rest, we’ll deal with the rest once you’ve gained some strength” Sabrina muttered and left the room
Tamara stayed quiet for some time until she finally felt too sleepy and when she was about to close her eyes when she saw a figure in a pure white dress walking into the room and approached the baby
The image was blurry and she couldn’t see clearly who it was,Tamara tried to get up as the figure reached for the baby and took it but she felt a heavy weight on her making it difficult for her to get up
“M..My baby” she mumbled as baby Raven started to cry
“Hush little one” the figure muttered and rocked him gently
“P..Please don’t harm him!” Her voice became hoarse as she felt like she was being strangled
“Your name will be Hades,do you know what that means? It’s a name for the Greek god of the Underworld, that’s your name” the figure whispered to the baby’s ear and pecked his forehead before putting him back
The figure walked up to her and she stood still and watched as the figure got closer but her vision got even more blurry the closer the figure came
“You have travelled this journey alongside your grandmother,you have gone through so much and survived through the most” the figure said gently and her warm hand took Tamara’s hand gently “Her time in this world is coming to an end and you’re going to take after her,a gift will be passed down to you, you’re going to be the gods ears,eyes and messenger and you’re going to heal for there will be war in the future,you will live now and for thousands of years to come,your son has been giving a boon …a boon that might destroy him or make him the greatest.It is up to him which path he chooses” the figure kissed her hand and she saw light emitting from her hand
At that moment she felt light like all the world’s sorrows and pain have been washed away
“B..But I’m only human,how can I leave for that long?” she asked
“How long you live is up to the gods,cherish your gift and use it wisely” the figure placed her two fingers on Tamara forehead and she felt sleep take over her completely as she fell into a deep slumber
★END OF FLASHBACK★
Tamara turned to look at Hades and flashed him a smile
“Let me take you to your room to get some rest first and I’ll ask someone to bring you something to eat” Hades said and she nodded
Every guard and maid they passed bowed to them to show respect
“I think I’ll have my meal in the dining hall instead, there’s no one there by this time right?” Tamara asked softly
“That is correct mother, let’s go there now” Hades said and they walked to the dining hall
When they arrived they met King Austin and Queen Hailey seated,Tamara stopped on her tracks and when their eyes met she felt so many emotions wash over her
“Father” Hades muttered and King Austin stood up
“Son you’ve finally arrived” he walked up to them “Mi lady, you’re welcome” he faced Tamara and she simply nodded while avoiding his gaze
“Come on mother” Hades muttered and pulled Tamara to the large table and pulled a seat for her to seat
“Ahh,so you’re finally here.. i’ve been waiting for your arrival and have already prepared a room for you” Queen Hailey gave Tamara a cunning smile
“Thank you, mother” Hades smiled sweetly at her and Hailey rolled her eyes “Father,is my mother’s room ready? She’s really tired from that long journey ”
“Umm of course son” he cleared his throat “Hailey,get some maids to move your clothes to Sierra’s chamber,all of it” King Austin said to Hailey while stabbing into his meat
“What!? Why!?” Hailey snapped
“My mother is moving into yours,any problem…MOTHER?” he emphasised the word ‘mother’ and smirked
“Hades—”
“I’ll tell the maids to get something for you to eat ” Hades cut his mother off and stood up to leave
“Austin!” Queen Hailey faced her husband with a reddened face “I an not letting her move into my chamber! Over my dead body!” she stood up and paused for a moment “You know, it’s actually not a bad idea,she can take it” she faced Tamara “It’s all yours” she smiled and flipped her hair before storming out
“This woman will be the death of me” King Austin muttered through gritted teeth and followed her out
Tamara sighed and shrugged before taking an empty plate and placed it in front of her

HB TOWN;YOLANDA HOSPITAL
Esmeralda ran into the hospital while painting heavily
“Doctor Loureii! Doc!” the receptionist tried to call her back but she paid deaf ears as she ran to the stairs
When she finally made it to the top of of the stairs she stopped to catch her breath
“You’re late!” a lady her age scolded across the other end of the hallway “Hurry up!”
“Coming” she rushed towards her and they went into the bathrooms to wash their hands
When they were done they went to theatre to start with the operation
“Is everything ready?” Esmeralda muttered under the face mask
“Yes doctor” a nurse next to her answered
“Let’s start” she said and they bended the light closer “Scalpel” she held out her hand and started with the operation
It went on for three hours till she was done and she stepped back and the other doctor finished what she started
“Sh|t!” he exclaimed “He’s bleeding”
The life machine beeped in the process and they all stared at it
“His blood pressure is dropping doctor!” a nurse panicked
“Kimberly let me focus here!” the doctor shouted and took out his hands,his gloves were bloody and he turned to Esmeralda
Esmeralda stared at the blood on his gloves and her breath quickened
“Doctor Loureii,I need your assistance don’t stand there!” the doctor snapped at her
Esmeralda looked at the patient and she saw him turn his head towards her and she saw Theo,she gasped and covered her mouth and stained her face with the blood of the patient
“Doctor Loureii!” a nurse walked up to her but she held her hand mid air stopping the nurse from coming closer to her
“What is wrong with her”
“Is she okay”
Mmurmus came from the nurses in the room as they stared at Esmeralda weirdly
Esmeralda looked at all of them and took her gaze back to the patient but the patient was unconscious
Was she hallucinating?
She turned and ran out of theatre,she heard voices behind her shouting her name but she didn’t look back until she made it to her office
Esmeralda quickly locked the door and rushed to close the blinds
“What have I done!” she roughened her long curled hair and paced back and forth
“Dr Loureii? Are you in there? Esme?” Esmeralda heard a familiar voice call her and she stayed quiet “Maybe she’s not here I should probably call her” the voice said and knocked
Esmeralda quickly took out her phone to confirm that it was indeed on silent
A call came up on her phone and the name ‘Kimberly’ appeared on the screen and she let it rang
It took ten calls for Kimberly to give up and she left afterwards,there were five missed calls from her mother and she called her right away
“Esme? I’ve been trying to call you since yesterday! Is everything okay?” Her mother picked up almost immediately
“Mom… I’m sorry I wasn’t feeling too well yesterday and slept early,but I’m okay now!” she bit her lip
“I hope you’re not lying to your mother” her mother scolded “Anyway I wanted to see you,it has been long since you visited us”
“You do know I’m only coming over because of you right?” Esmeralda smiled
“I love you too and I’ll be expecting you” her mom quickly said and hung up
Esmeralda shoved her phone into her pocket and went to the door and unlocked it,as soon as she opened the door her sister came in view
“Gabrielle? What are you doing—”
“I came here to get you,dad wants to see you..now!” Gabrielle shoved her aside and walked in “Ohh and by the way I came here to warn you”
“Warn me?” Esmeralda shut the door and turned to her sister
Gabrielle smirked and sat on the table while staring at her sister
“Congratulations dear sister, you’re getting married,our ‘father’ is getting you married off! That’s what he wanted to tell you but you’ve been ignoring his calls so I came here to give a heads up” Gabrielle stroked her hair
“What!” Esmeralda shouted in complete shock
