“Who is that beauty?” Wilfred asked Jessica and Marianna who were beside him.
“Dummy! Don’t you know Stephanie” Mariana chided.
“Am not talking about Stephanie but the angel beside her” Wilfred replied starring at Judy.
“That’s Valerie’s tom boy friend. Don’t tell me that you are also enchanted by her ugliness” Jessica retort but Wilfred was hardly paying them attention since his gaze is solely on Judy who kept waving at her team mate.
“Since the vote on who is the prettiest amongst these two damsels is a tie. We will be playing a game and I will be needing a guy from each team ” The Emcee said just as a lot of guys began raising their hand up just to be paired with Judy and Stephanie.
Wilfred was chosen for the Diamond team though he would have love to be Judy’s partner, he thought as he kept starring at Judy.
“Do I have the chance to pick some one to be my partner?” Judy asked the Emcee who gave her the go sign.
She let her gaze roam for a bit and when it landed on Luke, she pointed at him.
“Me?” Luke let out incredulously while she nodded in reply.
“You’ve been chosen, so come on the podium” the Emcee said to Luke who went to join them.
“This is what is required of the two teams. Both men are required to carry this two damsels in their arms for some minutes and whoever drops them before the limited time loses the game” the Emcee said.
“That’s easy peasy” Wilfred said lifting Stephanie into his arms.
“You are dead if you drop me” Stephanie warned him.
Luke slowly lifted Judy into his arms while she wrapa her arms around him, moving close to him while giving him a ÇOçky grin.
“What are you up to now?” He asked.
“What do you mean?” She asked with sweet innocence.
“Why did you choose me amongst the other guys?” Luke asked.
“For me to see how much you regret the things you’ve said to me” Judy replied triumphantly.
“Tch!”
“Don’t you have anything to say seeing me dressed this way?” She asked when he said nothing.
“What do you want me to say?” Luke asked.
“That you admit defeat and that am a swan” She said while moving close to him.
Luke was lost for words cause having her this close to him was making him feel weird.
She might not notice but he’s very much aware of her B@@bs being pressed on his hard chest even as she wrap her arms around him.
“Stop holding me tight or am going to drop you down” he threatened which got her losing her hold on his neck.
“So you won’t admit defeat right?” She asked pouting at him, some thing which made her look more pretty.
“Now let’s make the game more exciting, The guys should lift one leg up while the two damsels hold onto these books” the Emcee said while some books were brought by two students who gave Judy and Stephanie three set of books each and they were all heavy.
“If you can’t do it, just give up” Judy said to Luke.
“Shut up!” He mouth at her while she smiled at him in return.
She was still smiling when she saw Wilfred starring at her.
Wilfred who wasn’t listening to Stephanie ramblings saw Judy smiling at him and that made his arms go weak.
He let go of Stephanie who landed on the floor with a thump making Judy and Luke the winner of the game.
“You imbecile! Are you crazy!” Stephanie yelled at him even as she stood up.
“I think I am crazy” Wilfred replied touching his chest even as he kept watching Judy who was happy at the moment for winning.

< BASKET BALL COURT >
“It’s time to see what those nymphs can do” Judy muttered still dressed in her queen’s outfit and that earned her looks from admirers.
“Hey! Bryan is some one who has never failed in basket ball” Mira said defensively.
“But he’s going to be playing against Leo who taught him how to play, let’s see if he will be able to beat his teacher” Judy said and that spike up Chloe’s attention.
“What do you mean by Leo taught him ?” She asked.
“Before their mysterious fight a year ago, the two were best of friends. Rumour has it that Bryan always followed Leo around wanting to do every thing Leo did but their fight ended it” Judy replied.
“Bryan who have always look up to Leo now h@tës him and the same goes for Leo” Pearl added.
“It’s gonna be hard playing against Leo. Bryan once thought of him as his idol” Mira said which got Chloe wondering if Mira and Bryan had been close in the past for her to say such personal thing.
The players came in dressed in their respective uniforms and Chloe wouldn’t deny that the white head band on his fore head and in his sport gear, Bryan looked so handsome.
Chloe gaze was on Bryan that she didn’t notice Leo starring at her.
The refree blew the whistle and the game began.
Team Alpha scored thrice in a row making their team scream out in joy.
Even though Luke focus was on the game, he couldn’t resist starring at Judy and the same goes for Wilfred.
While Pearl and Chloe kept watching David and Bryan.
The game turned over when Team Diamond began winning with Leo scoring most of the balls.
Bryan and his team could hardly keep up with Leo’s team and when the time was up. Leo’s team ended up winning.
Wilfred who was excited blew a kiss directly at Judy.
“Is it me or did Wilfred just blew me a kiss?” Judy asked her friends.
“Wilfred h@tës us just as much as we do to him and so you must be imagining it” Pearl replied while Judy nodded in return.

< MEN’S LOCKER ROOM >
Bryan left the locker room only for him to stop when a cold cola and a wrapped up doughnut was th-ru_st in front of him.
“What’s this?” He asked starring at Chloe who brought it.
“Just wanted to brighten up your mood” Chloe replied still stretching it at him.
“You are only dampening it” he said trying to walk past her but she followed suit.
“Losing isn’t every thing. Some times you lose for a reason and also win for a reason ” Chloe said.
“Just as you will be losing today right?”he asked.
“Uh?”
“You might try to show to every one that you are doing fine but I know you aren’t. Your injury isn’t healed enough but still you will participate in the marathon right?” He asked and she nodded.
“The marathon isn’t a joke, running for an hour won’t help that foot, it will only worsen it. Do you want to become a cripple?” He asked again.
“Then what do you want me to do? Will you stay quiet if I decide not to participate and besides every one is counting on me,I can’t back out now” she replied hotly.
“Fine then, do wh@tëver you want. I won’t care anymore ” he said turning to leave.
“I will definitely win the Marathon, I will win and prove you wrong!” She yelled after him and moving to the nearest bin, she threw the doughnut and Cola into It before leaving for the next game which is the marathon.
