< FEW HOURS EARLIER >
Chloe walk out of the house, all prepared for school but as soon as she saw some one standing by the car, her cheerful mood got ruined.
“Good morning Valerie” Stephanie greeted and even went as far as to hug Chloe which got Chloe wondering why.
Stephanie pulled away turning towards the garden to wave at Valerie’s mom.
“See you aunt” she yelled while Valerie’s mom wave back at the both of them.
So the hug and greeting had all been a show for the benefit of Valerie’s mom, Chloe thought even as she got into the car with Stephanie.
When the car drove out of the mansion, Chloe turned to Stephanie who was busy with her phone.
“Why are we going to school together?” Chloe asked.
“Why ask me that? Have you forgotten already” Stephanie replied busy with her phone.
“Oh! That’s right, you have! You’ve lost a screw and so you definitely can’t remember but I don’t mind telling you” Stephanie added even as she turn to Chloe letting out a evil smirk.
“When I first arrived in your house two years ago, you were excited in having another girl your age living with you and due to your meddling you got us sharing everything together. Some thing I h@tëd because I wanted everything but stupid you didn’t realise that ” Stephanie said cruelly.
“So you’ve h@tëd me from me the very beginning?” Chloe murmured.
“I have, have h@tëd you from the very beginning and maybe that’s why I snatch away the one thing you wanted most” Stephanie stated.
“Which is?”
“Leo” Stephanie called out his name sweetly before keeping herself busy with her phone again.
“This is far enough, you can stop the car” Stephanie said suddenly and the driver stop the car mid way.
“What’s going on?” Chloe asked.
“Since you have amnesia am going to do the explaining again. You and I leave home together like two loving sisters and since we both h@të each other, we never get to school together and that’s because you leave the car and take the bus to school while I take the car to school on my own. So if you understand what I mean, I suggest you leave now” Stephanie said while Chloe tightened her fist in anger.
She would really love to wipe off that ugly smirk on her face.
“Aren’t you getting out?” Stephanie asked.
“Why must I leave when the car which belongs to my father? If you want to play the rich daughter, I suggest you go back to your family and leave mine alone” Chloe said which made Stephanie angry.
“You Bîtch!” Stephanie said with soft menace and before Chloe could stop her, Stephanie slapped her on the cheek.
“Don’t you ever mention my family again” Stephanie yelled at her.
Chloe let out an angry sigh before getting out of the car, moving to Stephanie door, she opened it and pulled Stephanie out of the car.
“Are you cra….. Arrrgh!” Stephanie let out a scream when Chloe pulled her by the hair.
“It must have been fun for you when you bullied Valerie two months ago but am not Valerie and I won’t let you have your way this time” Chloe said while Stephanie stared at her in surprise wondering what she meant by what she said.
“Let go of me! Let me go!” Stephanie yelled trying to pull Chloe hand off.
“Sure” Chloe replied letting go of her hair which got her staggering and falling into a mud of water.
“Oh my Gosh! I didn’t mean to and it’s a pity that I don’t have my phone with me. Taking your picture and posting it on the school page will certainly earn a lot of views” Chloe said even as Stephanie scrambled up.
“Arrrgh!!!” Stephanie screamed out in anger.
“Stop screaming and get the driver to take you home to change, you reek ” Chloe said covering her nose from the smell emanating from Stephanie.
“You won’t get away with this!”
“Really? I will be waiting for you. Well since I can’t stay in the same car with you, taking the bus seems better. Bye piggy” Chloe added walking off while Stephanie watch her leave.
An hour later and after taking two buses, Chloe finally got to M&M.
For a while she had thought she would be late to school since it would be her first time walking the streets of DC but she succeeded in getting to school safely.
She was about going in when she stopped thinking about her discussion with Carmen last night.
She had agreed to stay and had also decided to help Carmen find the person who killed Valerie. Since Carmen can’t have access into the school and find out who the culprit is amongst the student, Chloe decided to do it.
Apart from wanting to help, she also want to know who killed Valerie and if she has to do that by being Valerie then she certainly will, she thought before continuing her journey.
She was still walking in when she recalled how Stephanie, all muddy and wet, a smile splayed on her lips even as she walk past Bryan and Leo’s car.
She was up the stairs and was heading into the building when some one pulled her back.
She was startled to see that it is Bryan and when she tried to pull away, he tightened his hold on her.
“What’s wrong?” Chloe asked when he wouldn’t let go.
“I want to talk to you” Bryan replied softly.
“Let go of my hand and we will…..what are you doing!” She half yelled when he pulled her into his arms.
“Am trying to steal you away from someone” He murmured into her ear and Chloe eyes widened at his statement.
Bryan held onto Chloe still watching Leo and it wasn’t until Leo walk past them with out saying a thing that he finally let the struggling Chloe go.
“Are you crazy! ” Chloe said as soon as she was set free.
“Yes. I am crazy for you” he replied which got her starring at him like he is the world ugliest worm.
If he intends to steal Valerie love from Leo then he will have to make her believe that he’s really interested in her, Bryan thought.
“This is a joke right?” Chloe asked.
“It isn’t and just like you heard me say earlier, I intend to steal you away from Leo cause am interested in you” he replied enjoying the fact that he’s toying with her.
Valerie have never liked him, infact they only ever insult each other when ever they around each other but he will succeed in getting her to fall for him. No girl have ever been able to resist his charms and naive little Valerie won’t be different.
“Well am not interested and I suggest you find another fool to tell those lines to cause it’s not gonna work on me” Chloe said eyeing him even as she began to walk off leaving Bryan at loss for words.
Chloe was still walking in when she saw Pearl running towards her with a weary look on her face.
“What happen?” Chloe asked.
“Mira, Mira is being bullied by Stephanie and her friends” Pearl manage to speak out.
“Where are they?” Chloe asked.
