The Same Day, After School**
Lisa and Pearl both arrived at the restaurant looking tired as usual
“I h@të the school” Pearl groaned
“And I h@të Cole” Lisa groaned too
Ryder who was cooking in the kitchen gave the both of them confused looks
“Why do the both of you look that way?” He asked
“School was tiring, today was practical work and you don’t wanna know how hard we worked” Pearl groaned and fell on the chair
Lisa nodded and went to the kitchen to wash her hands
“And I was working with Cole, you don’t wanna see how annoying he is” she added
“Who is Cole?” Ryder asked
“The mayor’s son that has been trying hit on Lisa” Pearl replied.
“What?” Ryder asked and Lisa brushed it off with her hands
“I hope he isn’t trying to touch you forcefully?” He asked with worried eyes
“What?, It hasn’t gotten to that and besides I can protect myself” Lisa rolled her eyes
Ryder sighed and placed his hands on her both shoulders then made her face him
“Lisa incase it you have any problems with guys or anyone then don’t hesitate to tell me, I’m one hundred and one percent ready to fight for you” he said softly.
Lisa didn’t say anything, she just kept staring at him and blinking then the scene of when she kissed him earlier flashed back to her mind, she immediately shook her head and faced her front
“I.. think that’s nice of you” she smiled and turned up that tap and began washing her already red face
Ryder just stared at her from behind let out a low chuckle
“Right, I forgot to tell you that I have a surprise for you today” he said
“What surprise?” Lisa asked and the moment she asked that the door opened and Cora slowly stepped in
Pearl creased her brows while Lisa stared at her with widened eyes
“M..om” she stuttered
Tears came out of Cora’s eyes as she stared at her daughter
“Daughter” she called slowly
Pearl then stood up from her seat and decided to stand beside Ryder
“What’s happening?” She whispered to him
“Shh” he shush her and smiled
Lisa cleared her throat and cleaned the tears that wanted to fall from her eyes
“What are you doing here?” She asked
“I came to check up on you” Cora replied
“But why?, I thought you didn’t care about me anymore” she replied
“That’s a lie baby, I care about you I was just disappointed at your behavior and I wanted you to change, I’m sorry” Cora replied and tears came out of her eyes
“Why are you saying sorry Mom, I’m the one who is sorry because I’ve been a bad girl lately” Lisa replied and wiped her tears
“I miss you daughter” Cora couldn’t hold her tears anymore so she let it out
“Me too” Lisa cried and Cora came to hug her tight
“I’m sorry mom, I promise to change from now on” Lisa cried
“Really?” Cora asked
“Hmm, I’ll take my school seriously and I’ll never drink or smoke, I’ll never bully or fight, I’ll be a good girl I promise” she cried.
Pearl just smiled happily, she looked at Ryder and hits his shoulders
“You did something didn’t you?” She asked and he only just smiled
“It’s good to see Lisa and her mom together like this don’t you think?” She asked again and he nodded this time around.

Few minutes later**
Lisa and her mom were both seated on the chair as they were having a good talk together
It’s been long since Lisa had talked with her mom and honestly it kinda feels good
“So how did you know that I work here?” Lisa asked and Cora just smiled
“Actually Ryder told me” when Cora said that, Lisa creased her brows and looked back at Ryder
“Yo Ryder, how did you know my mom?” She asked
Ryder didn’t reply her, he just came to her with a frown
“I’m disappointed!, You can’t even recognize me” he shook his head
“Huh?”
“Lisa have you forgotten your childhood friend River?” She asked
“River?” Lisa creased her brows
“Hmm, you use to walk home from school together but he traveled on the day of your birthday and you were very sad” Cora reminded
Lisa’s eyes widened as she remembered him, they made an oath to be best buddies but he left on the day of hey birthday and made her cry. That day Lisa cried so much and it was her late sister and late dad the pacified her.
She stood up and glared at him in anger
“How could you!” She roared
“Calm down Lisa, I didn’t mean to leave just like that, my grandfather was sick and my mother sent someone to come pick me up, I didn’t even know that I was leaving” he immediately defended himself
“Then you left and forgot about me” she stood akimbo
“No I remembered you I tried calling you but father took my phone and said he wasn’t given it back till I get to grade 7” he sighed
“When you got to grade 7 you didn’t still call, when you passed grade 7 you didn’t come visit!!” She yelled
“I learnt that you lost your sister and father, I came to visit you but you were looking angry and sad, I was still looking for how to approach you until that day” he explained
Lisa stormed to the kitchen and took the giant spatula
“You deserve to be spanked!!” She yelled and began chasing him around
Cora and Pearl only just watched them and laughed and Cora was happy to see her Lisa happy again.

Days Later**
A lot has happened during these past few days, Lisa is now in good relationship with her mother, Pearl is also in good relationship with Pearl, Lisa is now close to Ryder although Cole still use to disturb her, it’s like that’s what he’s good at, yunno disturbing people
As for Norman and Dora, their relationship is now as strong as before, the whole school knows about them getting back together and they are all happy for them expect Idris but there’s nothing she can do about it, I mean no other how hard she tries, Norman will still look at Dora so she decided to give up on him and follow the new guy that just transferred to their school, someone who’s always tired of her disturbance too
Right now it is getting to evening already and Norman had discussed with Dora about going back to uncle Myles house and talking to him
He get that she is hurt but what’s done is done now and she can’t stay mad at him forever, hence he is her dad then there is no turning back, she’ll just have to come to it and face it
Finally Dora found herself at the front of uncle Myles door, she looked at Norman who just motioned her to knock on it
She took a deep breath and slowly knocked on the door..
