” Aren’t you going to school today?” Craig asked Amaryllis when he sees her walk downstairs wearing casual clothes. ” Yep.” Amaryllis replied popping the ‘p’. She sat at the dining table. Craig was reading a news paper. His breakfast already eaten. ” May I ask why?” Craig folded the newspaper and put it aside waiting for Amaryllis’ reply. Amaryllis started eating her breakfast much to Craig’s annoyance.
” Because I don’t want to. Now stop questioning me. I do not like it.” She said her eyes glowing. ” But I’d like to question you. Why did you adopt me?” Amaryllis asked bluntly. ” Because I promised myself to protect you after you saved my life.” Craig replied. Amaryllis scoffed. ” Try something better than that please.” She chuckled. ” It was 8 years ago. You were probably 9 or 10. You seriously hurt my pride. A 10 year old saving a 16 year old. I’d be damned.” Craig chuckled. Amaryllis raised an eyebrow.
” I was always the troublesome type. I joined a Mafia. Well I thought it was just a small gang. I was sent to spy on the rival gang. More like rival mafia. 3 months into it, I was caught. I made a run for it. The bad think was some of the rival gang were rogue lycans. Those bast**d know how to torture someone. 6 of them caught me in an alley. The proceeded to beat me. I fought back but 6 trained lycans were too much for me.
That’s when you appeared. You were carrying a stuffed animal. A rabbit, I think. White. You were wearing a white dress laced with blood. I was kinda shocked at first.” Craig explained. ” I have never had a white rabbit. I h@të stuffed animals. Or animals. I prefer a snake. The one who stays beneath the grass. Not seen at all.” Amaryllis pointed out. ” Yeah Well I don’t know but you were carrying it full of blood.” Craig told her. ” Fine. Continue your story.” Amaryllis told him.
” Your eyes were pitch black. You walked right past us but than one of the youngs grabbed your arm. Holy Sh|t I’m never ever gonna forget what happened. You turned and grabbed his hand. You broke his whole arm separating it from his body. We were all in shock. The guy shifted but you just snapped his head during his wolf form. One of the other guys charged at you shifting mid air. But you just waved your hand and every bone in his body broke.” Amaryllis cut him off.
” And how do you know that?” She asked. ” Because every bone was broken. 2 of the guys ran off. The two left were just frozen. You turned to me and asked if I was alright. I was tongue tied that I only nodded. You got up and threw the stuffed animal at the two guys. With a click of your finger, the stuffed animal exploded. Like granede explosion. Not like nuclear bomb explosion. It didn’t reach us. You started dragging me by the color and dropped me off at the hospital. Than suddenly disappeared.” Craig concluded.
Amaryllis’ eyes turned pitch black. ” How dare you?!” She said angrily. Venom and loathe evident in her voice. Craig tried his best to withstand the need to bow. He promised himself never to bow down to anyone. Not even his father, the Alpha King so he will not be to this teenage girl just because she holds so much more power or that she had saved his life. ” You adopted me to get my power. How ungrateful can you be?” Amaryllis spat.
Craig smriked. ” You’re pretty smart for a 17 year old not knowing her powers.” He gritted through his teeth. Amaryllis laughed darkly and humorlessly. ” You will bow to me. BOW!” Amaryllis roared and immediately Craig bowed much to his hatred. Amaryllis’ sharp gaze caused everything around Craig to break including his chair. He fell to his knees. ” You will never get my powers Craig and you will never be stronger than your siblings. That’s what you h@tëd most.
Darryl being stronger than you. Being more compassionate than you. You wanted your father to be proud of you as much as he weas proud of Darryl. When you realized that you’ll never be better. You changed your last name to spite your father. But he didn’t even notice. You don’t like bowing to anyone but you will bow to me. I am your queen and you will bow. Whether you like it or not. Bow Craig Vargas. Bow.” Amaryllis finished her speech about the life of Craig.
Craig was already breathing heavily. Amaryllis grabbed him by the hair and made him look at her. “This is where you belong Craig Vargas. On the ground. Beneath me. Bowing to me. I’m a force that’s not to be reckoned with. I will destroy you to the last bit. I am Amaryllis Quinn and I will always be your queen.” Amaryllis concluded and immediately her eyes went back to mormal. She let go of Craig and went upstairs. Craig glared at her before losing consciousness. His power and energy was all drained out.
Now he had to come up with a better idea to steal her powers.
