“I don’t have to tell you that. What I would like to know right now is if you need my help in getting Romeo to be yours?” He asked and after thinking about it for a while cherry gave a nod in return.

<< THALIA AND MICHELLE HOSTEL >>
Romeo stood in agitation while waiting for Thalia’s answer.
She had her back turned to him while preparing to give her his answer, something told him that she’s going to say no.
“Romeo I…”
“Don’t!” He quickly cut her off before moving towards her.
“Why don’t we do this Thalia. Tomorrow, our school basketball team will be having a friendly match with the neighbouring college”
“And since am the leader of the basket ball team, I will definitely be playing. If I lose I will leave you alone just like you want but if I win, please stay by my side” he added having a very sad look on his face.
Something tug at Thalia’s heart , it made her feel sad too and wanted her to comfort him.
“Time is twelve, come cheer me up at the court tomorrow. Good night” he bade before heading to the door, leaving his scent lingering in the room.

<< SPRING DAY COLLEGE >>
As soon as the professor left the class, Daniella began to pack her things.
“What’s with the rush?” Michelle asked as she slowly did hers.
“It’s almost twelve and the lion hub is having a match with a neighbouring school today” Daniella replied in excitement.
“Who or what is the lion hub?” ignorant Michelle asked.
“They are the leader of the basketball team which consist of Romeo, Jerry, Peter, Donald and this handsome guy here” Dennis said pointing to himself.
“So they will be a basketball match today? I never knew” Michelle let out slowly.
“Which is why we’ve got to head there now or all the seats will be taken, you coming?” Daniella asked Thalia who gave a nod and together they all left for the court.

<< BASKET BALL COURT >>
While everyone kept cheering outside, Daniella stood waiting in front of the changing room.
“When exactly would he be out?” She muttered starring at her watch while holding onto a bottle water and paper burger.
“Waiting for me cutie?” The student from the neighbouring school ask as he approach her.
“Move away! My boyfriend will be here soon” she said obviously not interested in him.
“But am willing to be your boyfriend too if you want me to” he said lightly while starring at her B@@b.
“Sorry dude. You are not my taste and also you are nothing compared to my boyfriend, he’s super duper handsome whereas you are… Let’s just say manageable” Daniella insulted and when she made to leave, he pulled her back roughly.
“Just who is this boyfriend of yours? His he that great?”
“Let go of my girlfriend!” Jerry said bringing both their gaze on him.
Daniella couldn’t help but to swallow hard when she saw him in his outfit cause every inch of him was screaming hotness.
“What the hell are you trying to do?” Jerry asked as he pulled Daniella into his arms while he gave the guy a glare.
“Well…I was just …”
“Scram! If you don’t want me to get Scott to throw you out of your team, I suggest you get lost” Jerry growled at him and immediately, he left the dressing room.
“Are you okay?” Jerry asked Daniella who was lost starring at him.
“Yes….I am okay” she replied breathlessly while using her hand to fan her face.
“What brings you here?” He asked.
“Well I…I only wanted to give this to you before the match begin” she replied handing him the burger and water.
“Thanks, I must admit that I am a bit hungry” he said as he peeled off the wrap to eat.
Daniella smiled as she watch him eating the burger and when he left a stain on his lips, she couldn’t help but to wipe it off startling Jerry.
“Am sorry. It’s just that you had something on your lips” she replied quickly.
“It’s okay” he said feeling a bit nervous around her. Did he really made the right decision by agreeing to be in a fake relationship with her.
“Here is your water and don’t hesitate to ask me for more If you need it” she said and made to leave when she turn to him again.
“Make sure you knock their @$$ out”
“Pardon?”
“Make sure you win the match” she said more slowly, a smile tilting her lips and Jerry couldn’t help but to notice how beautiful she is.
“Get a grip man!” Jerry muttered to himself when Daniella was long gone.

<< BASKET BALL COURT >>
Thalia was seated with her friend when they announced the entry of the neighboring school team which were called (Titans).
She was less interested in them but when Romeo’s team was called, she couldn’t help but to seat right.
Romeo was the first to walk out looking dashing in his outfit.
She was so lost starring at him that she barely heard the things Daniella was saying to her.
On the other hand, Romeo couldn’t help but to look for Thalia amongst the hundred students present.
And he did spot her, their eyes met and held each other for as long as it could.
“She’s pretty. Do you know her?” On hearing that Romeo’s gaze left Thalia to see Scott, the leader of other team starring at Thalia too.
Overwhelmed with anger, he stood in front of Scott obstructing his path.
” Romie, Do you perhaps know who that girl is, I would have noticed her if she was a student from our school” Scott said quickly.
“I suggest you take your eyes off of her and pay attention to the game” Romeo replied.
“Why, Scared to lose?”
“I should be saying that to you since you will be the one to lose and also that girl over there is taken already”
“By who, you?”
“Yes. Romeo here is the only guy for Thalia, so I suggest you look for a girl from your school” Dennis said as he stood by Romeo, supporting him.
“Tch! That only makes me wanna pursue her ” Scott muttered not wanting to back down.
“Then you will obviously be losing since I have the upper hand here” Romeo returned smoothly.
“Should we have a go at it?” Scott challenge but Romeo didn’t get a chance to reply since they were called to get ready for the match.
“Don’t pay attention to him, he loves baiting people” Dennis said to Romeo.
“I know and I will be damned if I let him get close to Thalia” Romeo vowed.

The game had started for a while now and Thalia couldn’t help but to curse whoever was calling her.
She kept ignoring the call and when the unknown caller insisted, she decided to pick.
“It’s me, shaman Lola. Am currently at your school cafeteria, can you please come see me”
On hearing that, Thalia immediately left the basket ball court.
“Oh, it’s the first half. Am going to see if Jerry needs something” Daniella said leaving Michelle alone.
Michelle couldn’t help but to stare at Donald. She noticed he was smiling at someone and when she followed his gaze it was to see his fiancee.
He had probably invited her, she thought as she felt a bit heartbroken by this.
“So who’s the winning team?” A familiar voice asked beside her and when she turn to stare at the guy in the hoodie,it was to see Felix.
“Why are you here?”
“Since my brothers fiancee is here to cheer for him, let’s leave” Felix said pulling her up and running out of the basketball court, something which Donald notice.
“But I don’t want to leave” Michelle said as soon as they got outside.
“So you prefer watching my brother being all lovey dovey with his fiancee?” He asked setting his hood on properly.
“That’s none of your business” she replied hotly and turn for the basketball court when he stood in her path.
“Let me take you out to lunch and from there you can show me around your college and….”
“My company is the last thing you want right now and….”
“How sure are you that I don’t want your company?” He asked slowly moving towards her.
“I know you don’t, okay. So quit being a tease”
“Am not teasing you Michelle. I really do want your company, I want you by my side” he said leaving her speechless.

<< SCHOOL CAFETERIA >>
“First of all, I will like to apologise” Shaman Lola began when Thalia joined her.
“I had lied to you and had made Romeo act along just so he can have you by his side which was very wrong and so…I hope you accept my apology”
“Though am still a little bit angry by your deceit. I hold no grudge since am also to be blamed, if I hadn’t wanted to cast a spell on him, this wouldn’t have happen” Thalia replied.
“Romeo must have told you everything right and what’s your answer?” Shaman Lola asked.
“I plan to refuse him” Thalia replied.
“Can I tell you something”
“I know you plan on telling me that Romeo needs me and all but I don’t want to be involved in this so wh@tëver you say won’t change my mind”
“Can I still give it a try?” She asked looking determined and slowly Thalia gave a nod in return.

<< BASKETBALL COURT >>
Thalia got back to the court to find everyone gone except for Romeo who was playing alone.
“Have the game ended so soon?” Thalia asked as she approach him.
“It ended a while ago” Romeo replied as he toss the ball aside moving to the chair to pick up his water bottle and towel.
“Who won?” She asked as she pick up the ball.
“What do you think” he replied looking angry.
“The titans won right?” She guessed correctly which made him more angry.
“They won and we lost. Just like I said, I won’t bother you again” he said picking up his things to leave but he didn’t make it far when the ball hit him on his head.
“That hurts!” He exclaimed.
“How can you leave without even knowing what my answer is?” She asked.
“That’s because you’ve made yourself clear already and I…”
“Shaman Lola and I had a long talk” she said cutting him off.
“Really, what did she say?”
“The usual stuff and that I should help you and that you need me and all ”
“And…what was your reply?” he asked.
“My reply is that I….well I agreed to help you. I will stay by your side and become the aura that protects you from death” she replied earning a smile from him.
“Do you really mean it? If you don’t want to do it then I…”
“What you are meant to say now is thank you” she said cutting him off again.
“Thanks ” he added as he watch her try to throw the ball into the net.
” But there’s a condition ” she added suddenly.
“What condition?” Romeo asked, slowly she came to stand in front of him.
“Under no circvmstance must you pretend to be in love with me again. You almost made me believe that you had fallen for me when it’s all a lie. If I was Daniella, I would have fallen in love with you already” she said hotly before moving away from him to continue throwing the ball into the net which failed.
“What if I don’t want to accept this condition of yours” He let out gruffly.
“Tch! You have to accept it or I won’t help you” Thalia replied aiming for the net while holding onto the ball.
Her heart skip a beat when Romeo came to stand behind her, holding onto her hand.
“That wasn’t acting Thalia. I meant everything I did back then” he said leaving earning a questioning look from her…
