Susan gasped at the shocking revelation that Paroh( Mr.Lin/professor) just revealed.
“When you mean leaving… Like going back to heaven for real? Is your mission successful?” she asked puzzled.
Paroh flicked his tongue and repositioned his glass “Honestly I don’t know what heaven wants exactly, I don’t know what the mission is all about anymore. My mission is to correct my mistake and bring order around but that can’t be killing my daughter and she’s doing just fine” He said with hands slightly raised in the air.
Susan sigh and pat his shoulder gently “Everything will be fine, I don’t think wh@tëver happened there just now was with you leaving” she said.
“I hope so” he replied.
“Uh… Uhm good morning guys” Haliah said hesitatingly, caught aback by Susan and her father’s sudden closeness. Close enough to be chatting alone in a corner.
“Morning Haliah,” Susan said and immediately left to join the rest.
“Morning beautiful” Professor Lin said to Haliah with a smile.
“Come. The rest are waiting” he said ushering her to the dining area.
On getting there, they all exchange greetings and Kira brings up the issue with Mountain ash again.
“So where can we get that?” Jeff asked.
“You can all go to school, I got it covered…” Flora replied.
Her face scanned the room.
“Uh, why does it appear as if you have something more to tell us?” Erik asked with a mouthful of tacos.
“I might want to advise you all to steer off the mountain ash physically. It’s one of the elements that are dangerous for supernaturals” she explained.
“Flora, thank God you chose to talk. ONLY WHEN I ASKED ABOUT IT” Erik rolled his eyes.
“I was going to tell you only when I get it but what difference does it make telling you now? You’re welcome” Flora said with a weird smile. Her lips protruded sideways.
“Did the professor program a smile now?” Haliah queried.
“She needs a little checkup. That’s all.” Professor lin replied.
A few minutes later, a bell rang jerking them all up on their feet.
They immediately packed their stuff to leave for school.
Professor Lin walked them to the parking space for the first time but with a heavy heart.
What if the kids arrived later today to meet no one? What if he fades without him getting a warning? Who’s going to take care of them?
He was so lost in thought that he didn’t know he was the one keeping them waiting.
He forgot to close the car door which he got for Haliah.
“Dad? Is everything okay?” she asked.
He snapped back to reality to find eyes on him and he took a few steps away from the car. “Uh? Yeah, I’m alright. You all have a nice day” he said shutting the door. Susan bit her lips with a worried face.
“And you all be very careful today, we were grounded with cops yesterday so I don’t know what Violet will do today to stop us from coming to your rescue” he added.
“Sure” they chorused.
Flora ignited the engine and drove out of the compound.
Professor Lin was left with Susan preparing to start going to her work as well.
“Take it, easy professor, “ she said and slide onto the arm swing where she kept her things.
“Don’t go to work yet, I need your help with something… A day will come when you won’t need to work anymore,” he said to her.
Susan laughs nervously “Erh… What do you mean by that?” she asks.
“You are the only one free that I can count on,” he said.
?LOCATION: HANSON MANSION?
The gifted assembled outside waiting for Violet to address them before setting off to school.
Ciara came out looking tired and grumpy and when her eyes met with Anthony’s calm but piercing ones, she flinched and stopped in her tracks.
“Did you see a ghost or something?” Heather teased and the rest laughed.
Anthony said nothing. Ciara clenched a big book tightly in her hand as she joined in the line but far from Anthony.
“Just you wait Anthony, your days are numbered. I just need to wait for the demon I summoned” she said silently and grinning.
“Ciara! I want you in the special hall now!” Violet’s voice came from the speakers attached everywhere on the wall.
The gifted starts to murmur as Ciara took her steps proudly inside.
On getting to the hall, the lights start to flicker and suddenly she was made to kneel against her will.
“Argh” she let out a short cry as her knees hit the ground.
Violet then slapped her right across the face in anger.
“Do you know what you have done?!” she spat in anger.
Ciara said nothing but only clenched tightly on her big book which Violet now caught a glance of.
“You came down the earth with this your magic book? I thought I asked you to leave your properties back at Grey Orbit?” she peeve.
“I… I’m so sorry Lady Violet. It’s the last thing I got from my mother and I can’t leave it behind” she pleaded.
“It’s the last thing you got from your mother because you killed her to get it!” Violet said stressing the killing part of the statement.
Just then, a projection appeared on the summoning orb and Hades appeared. Violet immediately went to her knees beside Ciara.
Ciara has never met Hades so she didn’t know to keep her eyes low when he came on.
Violet saw nothing but a beautiful man oozing with great immense power, the one she craves.
Lady Violet wrapped her fingers to the back of her neck and pins her head down further.
“He is Hades!” she whispered.
Ciara gasps in shock as she immediately buries her face on the ground trembling from head to toe.
“Finally get to meet you, Ciara,” Hades said in his electrifying voice.
“Uh… It… It’s an honor my lord” she replies shakily.
“A girl who killed her entire family over a magic book. Everyone wanted to protect the family heirloom but you wished to practice more power hence you killed everyone over it. Your own family that came from the bloodline of powerful witches. If not that the demon baby was conceived at my abode, I would argue she was switched at birth… With you instead” he said.
Ciara felt a ting of happiness to find out that Hades knows everything and acknowledges her.
“So, one of my demons broke out without restraint. Now I know who called her out” he added.
“Do you care to explain your carelessness, Ciara?” Violet said in a threatening voice.
“I only summoned Lady of wills because of Anthony, I have a feeling he’s not to be trusted hence I needed FERYA to fish him out,” she said.
Hades roared in a burst of big laughter before reappearing.
“Everyone drank my blood from the cup of oath Ciara, everyone except for you so how can I trust you’re not acting out of the ordinary? Have I given you that much importance?” Violet threatened.
“I’m sorry my lady, my lord but my instincts Is always right. I saw him discarding some bullets yesterday and replacing them with new ones. I got curious and searched his room last night but he attacked me” she explained.
“Hmm that apart little girl, do you know the function of the lady of wills? And what do you know about a ghost rider?” Hades questioned.
“A Ghostrider is also a harbinger of death. It has no weakness and he can’t be killed… But the host can surely take it down!” she explained with wide glistening eyes. Eyes that betray nothing of the evil inside.
“Lady of wills will pick on the nerdy and weak part of him, the reason he landed at Grey orbit in the first place. Once his will to become a better person gets eaten by the Lady of wills, the rider’s essence will grow weak and his abilities weakened as well. Then I can properly investigate him” she said with a smile.
The hell angels standing guard all clapped and roared in excitement feeling their master’s joy from hell.
Ciara was started at first but when Hades smiled, the hell angels stopped.
“I must say I’m impressed with your plan but my wise adversaries don’t work with instincts, they work on legit cases. I want you to be sure of everything before you set on any decision from now on. Not before consulting your lady”, he said.
“I’m so sorry my lady” she apologized.
“Ferya doesn’t do evil, she’s just like Cerberus ( a hell hound/ the three-headed dogs that guard the gate of hades) she doesn’t answer to anyone, but even the person that summons her. Prepare to get your wills eaten by her too if you’re ready for troubles “ Hades said.
“What? She’s going to feed on just anyone?” Ciara asked.
“Well, you didn’t state your needs from her when you unleashed her. She must be having the best freedom holiday of her life” Hades said.
Ciara looked worried and disappointed. FERYA feeds on the strong wills of both mortals and the supernatural. Making them lose hope and direction, she gives birth to low self-esteem, selfishness, and depression. She feeds on the guilty conscience of those she preys on hence making them give up their souls to Hades. She’s indirectly a soul winner for her lord.
“It’s been a long I put her on duty anyway so good of you. I don’t want you to punish her Violet, give her free pass in anything she does” Hades ordered.
Ciara bowed repeatedly to show her gratitude for honoring and acknowledging her.
The projection reduced and Hades disappeared.
Violet gave Ciara a piercing gaze but with slight pity on her face for her.
“You are way too young for this Ciara, I cherish you,” she said to her.
“Anyway I will confiscate this for a while,” she said and used her magic to remove the book from her hands and in seconds, the book was within Violet’s grasp.
“You should go join the rest, we have a long day ahead,” Violet said opening the door for her. She can’t have her summon Hades in the hall without consulting her.
⚡️THE SCHOOL⚡️
Erik and his friends were sitting together discussing who gets to hold the mountain ash once Flora arrives with it.
“Well it affects all supernatural so I’m afraid if any one of us can hold it not to talk of trapping Anthony with it,” Kira said.
“I am way out of the list in holding that stuff” Haliah giggled nervously.
“Falcon case apart now, I now have the essence of my grandmother’s sword living in me so that makes me out of the list too,” Erik said.
“I don’t think banshees are that of a supernatural though,” Jeff said.
“What do you mean?” Kira questioned with the folded fist with the thought that Jeff was picking on her again.
“No hard feelings Kira. I read in books that Banshees are immune to most supernatural phenomena, possibly as a result of not being truly supernatural but still utilizing its forces. So literally, your abilities are strictly extraordinary but you are not” he said.
“Seriously? It was sounding all good until the last part” Haliah said.
“Why do I feel a ping of bullying in your explanation?” Erik queried.
“He always finds means to bully me! Humph!” Kira whined turning her back on them.
“Come on guys I didn’t mean it that way. Okay, I’m sorry you are extraordinary. You’re unique okay?” he said laughing.
“You’re such a bully,” Kira said punching his shoulder.
They were laughing and talking when they saw Fred waving at them.
“Erik is that not your friend?” Jeff asked.
“Yes he is” he replied.
“But what is he doing with the Biology teacher? Does he take her class?” Haliah questioned.
“Hell no!” Erik replied, alarmed.
Lady in black is seen walking behind Freddy with her shoulders high and her hand fan swinging playfully between her fingers.
